that, using qualitative research because a deeper understanding calls for more detailed
index data.
Sexual offence, Criminal Justice System, types of sexual offences, criminal and
offender and prevention of sexual offences.

understanding in the study.
Exploratory Research.
To formulate an even greater understanding of previoulsy unresearched topic and
have a satisfaction uncovering facts and bring new issues to light.
Emperical studies.
Using emperical studies in qualitative research a conversational approach is used, to
offer deeper understanding about the issue. Interviews, focus groups and other

sampling to be provided with more information and a deeper insight as to what is
going on.
Longitudinal (cohort studies)
Subjects are to be followed overtime with continuous and repeated monitoring in
order to check the availability of risk factors and/or health outcomes.
Data Collection
Semi-structured interviews will be used to collect data. To gather qualitative, open-
ended data, in order to investigate participants’ views, feelings and beliefs about a
specific subject and delve deeply into delicate issues.
Data Analysis
The study will be analysed by grounded theory as it will help collect the data, analyse
the findings to identify the problem’s underlying causes and offer solutions.
