5. Use Special Service Tool: 303-1561 Holding Wrench, Pulley.

16. NOTICE: Make sure that the couplings are aligned.
17. NOTE: Mak e sure that no components catch.
18. NOTE: Only tighten the bolts finger tight at this stage.
19. Remove the following items:
1. Refer to: Valve Cover (303-01C Engine - 2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (74kW/100PS) – Puma/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi
(92kW/125PS) – Puma/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (99kW/135PS) – Puma/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (114kW/155PS) –
Puma, LHD FWD/RHD FWD, Removal and Installation).
2. Refer to: Timing Cover (303-01C Engine - 2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (74kW/100PS) – Puma/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi
(92kW/125PS) – Puma/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (99kW/135PS) – Puma/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (114kW/155PS) –

20. Install Special Service Tool: 303-1587 Timing Tool, Crankshaft.

Installation
1. NOTICE: Make sure that the surface is clean and free of foreign material.
Material: Silicone Sealant (WSE-M4G323-A4)
2. Torque:
1-20::
Stage 1: 10 Nm
Stage 2: 23 Nm
21-24::
Stage 3: 5 Nm
Stage 4: 10 Nm
3. Torque:
Stage 1: 10 Nm
Stage 2: 30°
4. Torque: 23 Nm
5. Torque: 23 Nm
6. NOTE: Install all the bolts finger tight before final tightening.
Torque: 48 Nm
7. Torque: 8 Nm
8. Torque:
1:: 15 Nm
2:: 36 Nm
9. 1. Use the General Equipment: Dowel with a Diameter of 6 mm
2. Torque:
Stage 1: 12 Nm
Stage 2: 33 Nm
10. Torque:
1:: 15 Nm
11. NOTE: Mak e sure that a new component is installed.
Torque: 15 Nm
12. Remove the following items:
1. Use the General Equipment: Dowel with a Diameter of 6 mm
13. Remove Special Service Tool: 303-1587 Timing Tool, Crankshaft.
14. NOTICE: Only rotate the crankshaft clockwise.
NOTE: Only tighten the bolts finger tight at this stage.
15. Install Special Service Tool: 303-1587 Timing Tool, Crankshaft.
16. Check the camshaft timing by inserting the 6 mm dowels through the holes in the camshaft sprockets and correct
if necessary.
Use the General Equipment: Dowel with a Diameter of 6 mm
17. Remove Special Service Tool: 303-1587 Timing Tool, Crankshaft.
18. Remove the General Equipment: Dowel with a Diameter of 6 mm
19. Install the following items:
1. Refer to: Valve Cover (303-01C Engine - 2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (74kW/100PS) – Puma/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi
(92kW/125PS) – Puma/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (99kW/135PS) – Puma/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (114kW/155PS) –
Puma, LHD FWD/RHD FWD, Removal and Installation).
2. Refer to: Timing Cover (303-01C Engine - 2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (74kW/100PS) – Puma/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi
(92kW/125PS) – Puma/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (99kW/135PS) – Puma/2.2L Duratorq-TDCi (114kW/155PS) –
