This project would not have been possible without the guidance
and the help of several individuals who in one way or another
contributed and extended their valuable assistance in the
preparation and completion of this portfolio.
First and foremost, my utmost appreciation to ______who gave
me the golden opportunity to do this wonderful project and for
his professional guidance and valuable support, which it is very
useful in the days to come.
To selected classmates and friends for their help in building ideas
and that despite of the distance, they have thoroughly e-mailed
the information I needed.
I would like to express also my special thanks of gratitude to my
family who supported me morally and financially.
Last but not the least, the one above all of us, the omnipresent,
omniscient, and omnipotent God, for answering my prayers and
for giving me the strength and wisdom, thank you so much Dear
God.
“Thanks again to all who helped me. God bless us!”
Autobiography

My name is _____but my friends call me ___. Before I get into my biography, I want
to give you a little background information. I was born on August 6, 1989 in Taipei into a
small family consisting of four members – my parents, a younger sister and I. We are
ordinary people. My father is a public official working for the Legislative Yuan and my
mother is a traditional housewife who takes care of the whole family with her whole heart.
My sister now is only 9 years old. My parents raised and educated us in a reasonable way.
My family education is full of support, warmth and freedom. I will graduate from Feng Chiag
University in 2010, with a major from the Foreign Language and Literature Department.
Now, I would like to introduce myself by talking about my personality, my involvement in
social activities and my ability to get along people, as well as my academic ability and
successes.

In my personality, I am friendly, outgoing, and positive. My friends always describe

me as an easy-going person and they like to get along with me. As a friendly classmate, I
would love to help my classmates or friends to solve their problems. I actively listen to my
friends when they encounter difficulties and try to advise them as best I can. I do what I mean
and mean what I do. Also, I am a woman with a positive attitude. Pressure often pushes me to
do great work; I know this from my personal experience: when there was an
activity—helping children in the community to learn English—that I had to deal with, I really
wanted to make it a perfect performance for the class. At that time, the pressure seemed to
keep me out of breath; nevertheless, the stress could not defeat me; with my optimism, I
knew that I could do the best job possible under such a strain. Therefore, the pressures
changed into motivating power for me. Whenever I had free time, the stress filled my brain
with many ideas about the activities I was involved with, and I did my best to make that work
a success. Eventually, a wonderful performance was presented due to the strains from my and
others’ expectations. I won a great amount of compliments and received my school
principal’s praise. This experience shows that I am responsible in my work. I deeply believe
that we will not be successful if we do not exert ourselves and we will totally fail if we do not
work hard. Thus, I am always responsible and diligent in doing any work.

During my early school years, I loved to do favors for people, and attend social
activities. For example, I volunteered to clean up our community with my neighbors when I
was still thirteen years old. Furthermore, in my third year of senior high school, I took part in
some volunteer work. I volunteered to help my school paint the wall. Also, every weekend, I
went to church in JiJi to help children learn and I led games for them. Not only did the
children learn a lot from me, but also I received lots of valuable experiences. In addition, I
served as the president of the English club in my second year of my high school. A drama
which I participated in had a good reputation in my school and in the community. It was also
praised by the newspaper. My partners and my teacher all affirmed my ability. Moreover,
when I was a sophomore in university, I held a Christmas Party for my department. Everyone
told me that it was the best party they had ever had. In second semester, I was selected as a
host in the KTV competition. Also, as a junior, I set up a barbecue with other departments for
our freshman. In 2008 and 2009, I acted as the host in Christmas Party. I gained lots of
experiences from these activities. From my own experiences, I have learned how to both
work well with others and alone.

I always have high academic expectations for myself. And through my hard work, I
have earned many awards of recognition. In my high school, I obtained both the first and the
second prizes for short essays in the whole country in my second and third year; in addition, I
attained the champion of designing a website. During my college years, I got the average of
GPA 3.8 every semester. I gave a successful performance which was praised by the teacher in
the literacy class. Moreover, as a sophomore doing a part time job in an associated
professor’s office I learned how to handle documents, correct students’ homework, modify
the pictures using photo impact, and use Microsoft Word. I expect of myself that, “You are
never too old to learn.” Furthermore, I am creative; for instance, I am good at making posters,
cards, and so on. My designing work often received great feedback, and even won first place
in a poster contest in high school.

My outlook is bright and I have a clear mind to know what I should do; I feel
confident about myself and know how to pursue my goals. In recent years, I have worked
hard in order to learn different things; I believe that I will continue being
an optimistic and responsible person and that I could be a productive member of the
company. This attitude will accompany me whenever dealing with any difficulty.
Now, I am filled with ambition to work in a trading company. I really have great passion for
this job. I hope to adequately demonstrate my ability and talents in my field. In five years, I
hope to have gained more administrative experience so I could use my organizational and
planning skills on this job and do it better. I have confidence that I will be competent for this
work with my strong ambition.
