Introduction to Your Birth Chart Report

What follows is your personal natal chart information, as well as interpretations of the
positions and aspects in your chart.

With this report, you'll find out the positions of the planets in your natal chart by sign. The
most personal of these are the Sun sign, Moon sign, Mercury sign, Venus sign, and Mars
sign. Most people already know their Sun sign.

If your time of birth is known, you will also find out your Ascendant, or rising sign, as well as
the positions of the planets in the houses of your chart. Additionally, aspects between the
planets are listed and interpreted.

If the birth time is unknown, we cannot know the Ascendant or house positions. The natal
chart shown here is an Aries chart in that case. Additionally, you may not know the Moon
sign for certain. This is because the Moon changes signs approximately every 2-1/2 days.
Less probable but still possible is a change of signs for the other planets and luminaries,
depending on the planet itself (for example, the Sun changes signs every 30 days or so).

Each paragraph of interpretation refers to an individual position in your chart. All of these
positions and aspects are some of the "parts" that make up a "whole"--you! Some of these
interpretations will be contradictory, just as people are contradictory. A person can be timid
in love and aggressive in business, for example. As well, we evolve and grow throughout our
lives, facing challenges that help us to handle our positions and aspects in a different way.
We all have choices, and one of the major benefits of astrology is the chance to understand
ourselves so that we can work with our natal charts and improve ourselves. Any
computerized report that interprets the individual placements in a natal chart is somewhat
disjointed, simply because the different parts that make up the whole are not synthesized.

Some of the interpretations are more detailed than others. You can use this as a starting
point and do some further reading about different positions (such as Moon in Libra, Saturn in
the 10th house, Moon conjunct Mercury) in your chart by exploring our own site, other
astrology sites, and by reading astrology books.

The tables show the technical details of your natal chart, personalized based on your birth
data. Below the tables, you'll find your free birth chart interpretive report, and a chart wheel
appears at the end of the report.

Planet Positions, Ascendant, & Houses

The following table shows the position of the planets in your chart, by sign and degree. You
will also find the sign of your Ascendant and the signs on the cusp of each house in your
natal chart only if the birth time is known. The Roman Numerals refer to the houses, where
the Ascendant is also the first house and the Midheaven is also the tenth house. For
example, if the sign Taurus is next to Mars, you know your Mars is in Taurus. If the sign Libra
is next to Venus, you know your Venus is in Libra. If Cancer is next to Ascendant, you have a
Cancer Ascendant, and if Leo is next to II, Leo is on your 2nd house.

Aspects
The following table shows the planetary aspects in your natal chart. Interpretations of these
factors are found below. The numbers listed under the column "Value" serve as a relative
rating system for each aspect and are determined based on the planets involved, the aspect
type, and the orb of influence. Negative values suggest more stressful or challenging
influences while positive numbers show more flowing, easy energy.

Natal Chart Report

Birth Chart
This birth chart report shows the positions of the planets for OVA.

The Sun

The Sun represents vitality, a sense of individuality, and outward-shining creative energy.

The Sun is in Cancer

Sun in Cancer natives have a strong survival instinct. They are protective of those they care
about, and of themselves too. They are often quite reticent about sharing their inner selves
to the rest of the world, and are often caught up in reminisce. Cancers have a reputation for
moodiness, although this trait is most evident when the Moon is in Cancer. Cancer needs
roots. They resist change to an extent, and concern themselves about being secure and safe
in most everything they do. Cancers can be quite intrigued by objects with history attached
to them -- antiques, photos, souvenirs, and the like.

Cancer is a very sensitive sign, and they don't always appreciate it when you are blunt with
them. Their reactions to hurt will depend on how thick a shell they have developed. Most
Cancers react by withdrawing or retreating. Some have developed an ability to manipulate
others to get what they want. They avoid direct confrontations almost as a rule. Cancers are,
in fact, quite yielding and soft when you have them in the right mood. They are one of the
more hospitable signs of the zodiac. Sure, they can be touchy and indirect, but they are also
very dependable, caring souls.

Short description:

She weighs words carefully and can be tenacious. A calm and discreet nature, tender,
thoughtful, sensitive, and impressionable.

Possible issues: She is humble, timid, changeable, indecisive, lazy, or over-sensitive. Easily
influenced by the family and sometimes manipulative.

Cancer with ascendant Scorpio

Sun in IX: The Sun is in the ninth house

You have a deep need to understand the world around you. You have high ideals and you
have your eye on what's on the horizon. You are looking ahead, and at times can seem quite
restless. You are proud of your knowledge and of your morals. Be sure to avoid self-
righteousness in your enthusiasm to share your knowledge. When used correctly, you are a
tolerant, adventurous, and curious person, and you want to see the best in people and in life.

-68 Square between the Sun and Moon

You have an internal struggle between your needs and your wants. You can lack focus and
be indecisive as a result. Your ability to be objective is both an asset and a liability, simply
because when you decide on one route, you are pulled in another direction at the same time.
Something tugs at you, and you begin to question your stance. "But what if..." and "on the
other hand..." are statements you can't help but make, and that might plague you. You are
always aware of the opposing point of view and the other side of the coin.

403 Conjunction between the Sun and Mercury

Because your ego and your mind are usually on the same page, you possess much mental
energy. You are always in a position to think about what you want, and in many ways, this is
an interruption of the will. You are highly intelligent with a great drive to communicate with
other. You invest a lot of pride in your intellectual capacities. You may not always listen as
well as you speak, however! You might be too busy thinking about what to say next. But you
are very curious and although you enjoy expressing yourself, you usually don't dominate
conversations completely.

As far as studying or learning goes, you are better off reading the material than listening to a
teacher. These traits come from a strong need to take an active role in communications. It is
very hard for you to passively listen and absorb information.

Your opinions are usually strong and you are an independent thinker. You tend to be proud of
your opinions and thoughts, and might easily get a bruised ego if you are not "heard", if your
opinions are pushed aside or ignored, or if your opinions are criticized. You are expressive
and possibly a very animated speaker. You are also very witty and others enjoy your playful
and sometimes mischievous sense of humor.

-253 Opposition between the Sun and Uranus

Your identity rides on your sense of personal freedom. It can be quite a challenge to get you
to do what you don't want to do, simply because you see any attempts by others to push you
in a certain direction as threatening to your sense of freedom. You are a very dynamic
person who questions tradition and authority, yet, paradoxically, you can be quite set in your
ways! Although a humanitarian in many ways, you can be a little brusque when it comes to
sentimentality or what you perceive to be excessive attachment to the past or to tradition.
You can have a lot of nervous energy and defensiveness. It can be difficult to hold a 9 to 5
job or to develop steady routines. You work best when you can manage your own schedule,
and you work in spurts. When you are hit with creative inspiration, you are capable of
tremendous effort. However, you can be quite temperamental, and it is very hard for you to
pour your hearts and souls into something that you don't "feel" for at the moment. You don't
like superficiality or pretense, which is an admirable trait. However, your disdain for pretense
can be problematic in a world where people are expected to perform whether they are
inspired or not! You should try your best to channel your high levels of intuition,
inventiveness, and spiritedness into creative endeavors or important causes. You might find
that you encounter much less resistance in day-to-day life this way.

-235 Opposition between the Sun and Neptune

You have a desire to be something special or to experience something more than the
ordinary. You are a day-dreamer and idealist. It is easy for you to trust others, even (and
perhaps especially) people who might seem from the outside looking in as unsavory types.
You are looking to identify with something beyond what is normally expected of people. You
may have had a childhood that didn't help you direct or define your life. Perhaps the early
family life was lacking in supervision or clearly defined rules. A father figure may have been
absent or distant and ineffective. You may have a glorified image of your father. Whether the
image is very positive or very negative (or if it swings between these extremes), the image is
not very clear or rational. Whatever the case may be, you struggle with defining who you are.
You might gravitate towards the "wrong people", or get in with the "wrong crowd" in an
attempt to define who you are. You might be susceptible to being taken advantage of by
others, especially by men or authority figures.

You may be easily led astray by peculiar desires or self-destructive habits. In order to add a
greater-than-ordinary dimension of experience to your life that helps you to feel special and
important, you might be attracted to Neptune-ruled behaviors, such as secret affairs, drugs,
or other escapist behaviors. In some way, you may feel a strong urge to glamorize your role
in the world. There can be some confusion about the past (such as remembering childhood
experiences in ways that are far removed from reality), and a tendency to daydream about
being someone more "important" than you feel you are.

You may struggle with early conditioning that made you feel tossed aside or neglected in
some way, and certainly not directed or supported. You are very sensitive, especially with
regards to any real or imagined blows to your ego.

If the natal chart shows a strong sense of reality and a robust mind (Mercury and Saturn
well-placed, for example), the negative interpretations of this aspect are less extreme. Still,
you are likely to recognize at some point in your life that you have a tendency to engage in
escapist and self-destructive fantasies and/or habits. It is useful to be able to connect these
behaviors with their probable source, which is likely to be a weakly-defined ego and identity
in childhood.
105 Trine between the Sun and Pluto

You have much sexual vitality and passion. It is easy and natural for you to find a passion
and pursue it, and to focus on a goal. You are not much scared of anything. You enjoy and
embrace growth, especially of the psychological kind. You love a good mystery, and you are
adept at solving it.You readily assign meaning to what others might consider "ordinary"
events. You look for symbols, and read between the lines in most any situation. The physical
vitality is generally strong, and the body is usually able to heal quickly. You are not afraid to
get your hands dirty, and you are usually quick to help others--not only with mundane tasks,
but also on a spiritual or psychological level. Your insight is sharp and sometimes awe-
inspiring. You are perceptive and not easily rattled or surprised in life. You are not a do-
gooder nor are you a law-breaker. However, you are not afraid of the "dark side" of human
nature, and you will bend the rules from time to time if you feel the need to do so. You take
particular pleasure in growth and life's lessons. You are not fond of superficiality, and are
generally the first to spot pretense of any kind. You are passionate and can be intense. You
have a hunger to experience more than just an "ordinary" life, and you can be quite
ambitious. Some people with this aspect are perfectionists, demanding much from
themselves and reasonable amounts of effort and honesty from others.

48 Trine betwen the Sun and Ascendant

It is easy and natural for you to be received well by others. There is a distinct air of authority
and magnanimity surrounding you. The authority you project generally doesn't offend others,
generally because sincerity is sensed at the same time. Most people would describe you as
natural, easy to like, and friendly. You may have a marked interest in the performing arts
and/or sports and games, both as a spectator and participant. This is an especially favorable
aspect to have for those who are in the public eye.

The Moon
The Moon represents the emotional responses, unconscious pre-destination, and the self-
image. The Moon represents the emotions, and the Moon sign shows how a person
expresses themselves when at home, at ease, and comfortable.

The Moon is in Aries

Nothing quite happens soon enough with this position of the Moon. There is an inherent
impatience with getting what they want. Life is a series of emergencies for Lunar Ariens.
They live in the moment and have a hard time waiting for things to happen. Whims of the
moment take absolute precedence in their lives. This is a fiery position of the moon. Even if
the Sun or rising sign is more low-key, Moon in Aries people possess inner passion and fire.
Emotional issues take precedence--there is simply no pussy-footing around when it comes to
dealing with the feelings. And, dealing with new sentiments and needs stirs up a huge desire
for activity. Moon in Aries has a need for acting out their needs, with no time to waste. It is
hard for them to see the long-term, or to wait for things to happen. Instant gratification rules!

Oddly enough, this is a very defensive position of the Moon. These natives take things very
personally, and they deal with problems by facing them right away so that they can then get
on with other things. Their flare-ups generally end almost as quickly as they started. Lunar
Ariens have an unmistakable independent streak. They put themselves right out there in the
world, and make an impression in whatever they do. Their self-confidence is actually
variable. Although a strong personality is projected, Moon in Aries people go through plenty
of ups and downs. Their moodiness is not like Cancer or Pisces moodiness--they don't
withdraw into themselves or escape the world when they're down. Instead, they are
temperamental. Some might say that people with Moon in Aries actually enjoy trouble and
confrontations. Indeed, this position is easily bored with environments that are too peaceful.
Their homes--especially their childhood homes--are often battlegrounds. They rule the roost,
or at least want to, and are not the most peaceful of folk to live with!

Moon in Aries people are prone to have plenty of crushes and other short-lived yet intense
desires. "Needs" and "wants" are indistinguishable to Lunar Ariens at any given time. In their
minds, what they want is so powerful that it becomes an absolute need. In young adulthood,
they can be dangerous with a credit card. Whoever offered the advice to freeze your credit
card in a container of water, and then let the block of ice thaw before using the card,
unwittingly had people with Moon in Aries in mind. The whole idea was to see if the
shopping whim of the moment would pass by the time the card was ready to use. Still, with
this scenario, I wouldn't be surprised to see Moon in Aries hacking away at the ice. That is, if
Aries actually takes the advice in the first place!

Others will appreciate that people with Moon in Aries rarely sulk or play any drawn-out
games of manipulation. You can pretty much know what they want at any given time. They
are generally ruled by their own emotional needs, and they're not always as concerned about
others' needs during these "emergencies". Somehow, they have people around them
scrambling to help them solve their problems. There's an aura of childlike innocence around
Lunar Ariens, even when they're getting their way again, that can be charming indeed!

Moon in VI: The Moon is in the sixth house

Not always a natural leader, but can succeed in being the right-hand of an important person.
In most cases, she is an employee, worker etc. usually by choice. She likes the country,
respects Nature and adores animals.
You have an emotional need to be useful, to work productively, to be organized and on top of
things, and to lead a healthy life. If these matters are chaotic in your life, it's a symptom of
emotional unrest. You need a lot of variety on the job--to be stimulated and engaged in order
to feel happy. Some of you might seem to change jobs often, forever in search of the "perfect
fit" job. Acceptance that any job requires some level of routine is hard for you. You are very
sensitive, and especially aware of minor health annoyances or body aches and pains. Some
of you have hypochondriac symptoms. Some attempt to get out of things they don't want to
do by emphasizing health problems or even exaggerate illnesses in order to gain sympathy.
At your best, however, you're a person who always helps out and shows your affection for
others in practical ways in order to help them solve problems and improve their lives.

-154 Square between the Moon and Mercury

There is a conflict here between the head and the heart. Your emotions tell you one thing and
your mind tells you something else. The result is a see-saw effect: you can be emotional to
the point of irrationality at one moment, and logical the next. How to blend the head and the
heart is a constant struggle for you, usually because you have a tendency to resist blending
them! You love to chat, enjoy story-telling and writing/poetry, sometimes enjoy bending the
truth, and you possess a sparkling wit! You are animated when you speak, and have a sense
of humor that others appreciate simply because it's very imaginative. You may be especially
adept at satire. People can usually read your mood by how much you're talking. When
nervous or excitable, you talk up a storm. Moodiness is a characteristic, definitely, and an
especially subjective nature makes you prone to hypersensitivity. It usually has to do with the
fact that you take in so very much from your environment. This is also one of the reasons
why you tend to be indecisive. You may swing between irrational and rational thoughts and
feelings. It's pretty much something that takes place "upstairs" in the mind, although others
are sure to see the struggle from time to time. You are always interesting, and usually funny.
You have a tendency to misrepresent yourself with what you say from time to time, but you're
a charming, if a little kooky, friend.

If she is happiest in her own little imaginary world, they can be happy nowhere because she
can never find her ideal world on the outside, and this problem can create a lot of change,
instability, and disquiet. Must aim to enjoy the moment, the real world more often. She
should watch for fibbing, gossip, but sensitivity to criticism, thin-skinned leaves her feeling
vulnerable. If the other aspects allow, she can be a very good novelist. Great imagination and
observation.

-48 Square between the Moon and Uranus

She may at times suffer from an almost feverish, non-constructive restlessness. She is too
susceptible. Her life can be full of change or the emotions are often in a state of flux. Also,
frequent changes of mind. She is irritable and stubborn at times due to an inner restlessness
that is hard to satisfy. She can have difficulty concentrating on a job, although is capable of
much if allowed to move from task to task to alleviate extreme boredom with routine.
Nervous strain. Her friendships may be like her professional and love life - sometimes
unstable or erratic. There is a strong need for closeness, but when people get too close, she
can get cagey, as she values personal freedom just as much.

-36 Square between the Moon and Neptune

She may lack firmness, and can be a sucker for a sob story! She likes to live in a dream, in
the world of imagination, and can hope so much for things that reality checks can be brutal.

33 Trine between the Moon and Midheaven

She has a strong sense of family, profound feelings, and may especially like children and
animals. If there are changes in her professional life, they are most often for the better. There
is a sense of forward movement, popularity with those in authority or in the professional life.

Mercury
Mercury represents communication, Cartesian and logical spirit.

Mercury is in Cancer

She communicates with feeling, endearing others with words. She is reflective and has one
of the best memories around. She feels people out and can be quick to pick up emotions and
moods. She is discerning and full of insight, lucid, and thinks things through. She likes to
please and to create a good impression. There can be a strong tendency to be influenced by
those around her.

Mercury in IX: Mercury is in the ninth house

Her thirst for knowledge is never satisfied. She is mentally active. She may undertake
exhaustive studies, always studying for pleasure. Can very much enjoy journeys to faraway
places, and may go to live abroad.

You are eternally curious and hunger for knowledge. You enjoy studying and learning, and do
it not because you have to, but because you want to. You enjoy exchanging ideas and
personal philosophies with others. You can be especially buoyant, enthusiastic, and even
inspiring in your communications. While you may not pay enough attention to details, you are
skilled at finding a quick solution to problems. You readily see the bigger picture and enjoy
sharing your opinions and ideas. You get off on how information affects people's lives, and
you take great pleasure in learning that something you have shared or taught has inspired
others to take action, experience something new, or make changes in their lives. Some of
you might be too quick to offer advice, however, that might be lacking in thoroughness and
practicality, or that you yourself don't follow.

-119 Opposition between Mercury - Uranus

She likes debate and controversy, and, above all, to contradict. She may lack diplomacy and
tends to dissipate her energy. She cannot stay in the same place for too long, especially
mentally, preferring change even if it means a backward step in her career.

-98 Opposition between Mercury - Neptune

She misjudges, but very imaginative. She lets things happen, and is happy to stay in her
dreamworld. Confronted by reality, she is hesitant, anxious about being tested and can fall
back into her imaginary world.

110 Trine between Mercury - Pluto

She has a great sense of observation and quickly grasps and sizes the situation. She is
crafty, subtle, and perceptive.

24 Trine between Mercury - Lilith

Can be provocative in speech or communications, persuasive, interesting conversationalist,

quick to see the flaws of a situation.

78 Trine between Mercury - Ascendant

She is intelligent, with quick and lively reflexes. She is preoccupied with her circle, likes to
exchange ideas with her friends, but also with strangers. Of an open nature, often reaching
out to others.

Venus
Venus represents an interest in emotions and values, exchange, and sharing with others.

Venus is in Gemini

Venus in Gemini people will try to win over the object of their affection with witty
conversation, displaying just how much they "know," and demonstrating their diverse
interests. These lovers are playful -- some might even call them a tease. They are hard to pin
down, and they resist relationships that promise to become too "comfortable." Even those
with their Sun in Taurus or Cancer, whose outward demeanor may suggest some reserve and
caution, will want their relationships to be stimulating and full of conversation with Venus in
Gemini. Venus in Gemini people don't want to be tied or bogged down in their relationships.
They appreciate lightheartedness in love. Although they are willing to talk (perhaps
endlessly) about the relationship, you may get the feeling that they gloss over some of the
deeper issues. In love, their tastes change often, and it can be hard to know what to expect
from one day to the next (or, sometimes, from one hour to the next!).

Pleasing Venus in Gemini involves supporting their need for fun and variety, showing interest
in their brainpower and knowledge, and giving them space for friends and activities outside
of the relationship. Let them know just how much fun you have with them. Try not to get
overly miffed by Venus in Gemini's changeable, fickle ways. Remember that time spent with
your lover will be exciting and invigorating.

Venus in VII: Venus is in the seventh house

Her fate can depend a lot on partnership. May connect for love, children, happy emotional
life.

Harmony is most important to you, so it is unlikely you will attempt to dominate a lover. You
are a peacemaker, sometimes going to great lengths to achieve a balanced, harmonious
relationship. Be careful not to bend over backwards just to keep the peace--you may be taken
advantage of. Your marriage partner may be especially attractive, charming, or well off. You
are extremely attractive, agreeable, and charming, drawing others to you magnetically. You
need an unusual amount of contact and exchange with a partner, and might find that you feel
completely lost without one. Some of you might quickly enter into partnerships, perhaps too
quickly and neither equipped nor prepared for the responsibilities that a long-term
relationship demands. In some cases, there can be a shallow or materialistic interest in
partners. Your hips and lower back may be special erogenous zones for you, or they may be
especially attractive body parts.

-37 Square between Venus - Mars

Whether it's an infatuation or a full-blown love affair, relationships get you out of bed in the
morning. You are passionate and seem to need an active romantic and sexual life to drive
you. Often, this area of life is somewhat challenging, especially in youth. As much as you
want to be involved in a passionate affair, your timing can be off and/or it's difficult to find a
relationship that mirrors your strong desires and expectations. Especially when you are
young, there can be a real awkwardness with your social skills--this may or may not be
apparent to others.

You are highly creative and generally are driven to express that creativity. Your passion for
romance is often channeled into your creative output. For example, challenges in
relationships may be a large part of the drive behind your poetry, music, or other art.
Love and hate are very much mixed together for you. You are prone to love-hate relationships
with others, likely because your passions are such that the old saying "there's a fine line
between love and hate" rings especially true for you. Some level of competitiveness, anger,
frustration, or angst is present in your romantic relationships. Although you are quick to
anger, you are generally just as quick to forget about it.

Short description: While she is passionate, she likes carnal desires and voluptuousness
above all. She may go to excess and can often be unsatisfied. Should probably learn
moderation.

115 Trine between Venus - Jupiter

She is good-hearted and generous, possessing a good character. She likes well-being,
comfort, a life of ease, without problems. She has good relations with her social circle. She is
easy to approach. All the same, she may fall in love easily. She has a successful partnership
and professional life. People usually trust her.

Mars
Mars represents the desire for action and physical energy.

Mars is in Virgo

These productive and busy people are goal-oriented, practical people. Although they can be a
little scattered at times, simply because they are doing so many things at any give time, Mars
in Virgo natives get things done--quite well! They have a knack for handling a wide variety of
tasks at once, and a tendency to take on perhaps too much at the same time. Most Mars in
Virgo natives are not particularly aggressive by nature. Although they can be a little hard-
nosed and critical at times, they rarely resort to pushing others around. Still, an annoyed
Mars in Virgo native can be difficult to be around! Arouse their anger and they turn into
complaining, over-critical nags. Generally, these natives don't make themselves nuisances,
so this stage is unlikely to last for very long. It is a sensitive position, however. It doesn't take
much to make these people nervous.

Mars in Virgo people are quite protective about their "system" for getting things done.
Although rather humble in a general life sense, they can be quite particular about their
methods--how they organize and accomplish their goals, mostly with work. Theirs is a
nervous energy. Although they have some staying power, they can be restless and are not
given to sticking with the same projects for too long. These natives derive plenty of energy
and life force from the things they do--their work, hobbies, and any kind of projects they take
on. An idle Mars in Virgo native is a sorry sight, indeed. Fidgety, nervous, worried...all of
these things are a sure sign that Mars in Virgo people have either too little to do, or far too
much on their plates. There is a perfectionist at the heart of all people with this position.
They'll be the first to deny this, but it's there! They worry when they are not producing
anything, and they worry about whether what they've produced will measure up.

An earthy and sometimes nervous sexuality generally characterizes people with this position
of Mars. In a sense, their performance in bed is similar to their work. These people want to
be good at what they do. They will generally be open to experimentation, if only to feed their
curiosity and to feel savvy. There's often a shy and humble side to Mars in Virgo in any area
that involves putting themselves out there and letting go (areas ruled by Mars). But
experience and knowledge are important to these natives, and this drive generally wins over
their natural reticence.
