Breaker Status Monitoring System

(BSMS)
The Breaker Status Monitor System (BSMS) is a monitoring
system installed in a residential or commercial building, which
constantly monitors the on/off status of the electrical circuit
breakers, and reports the status to a computer workstation with
graphics monitoring software installed in it. It comprises of a
master module (ECB13120), one or more slave (expansion)
modules (ESB14120) and several terminal board modules
(ETP15120).

The master module is the key element. The master module has
an integrated switch-mode-power-supply (SMPS) to power up
all associated elements within the subsystem. It has a
communication module within it, which follows the building
automation and control network over IP (BACnet/IP) protocol,
which is finally driven to the computer workstation through
appropriate routers.

Redundant Power Switch Module for 24VAC

A redundant power supply is an essential component of the

building automation system, when critical operations are
performed. Such redundant solutions are very hard to find in
the market, when the supply requirement is 24VAC. ERP8321 is
a redundant power supply unit for 24VAC controllers, which
also provides the health statuses of input/ output supplies and
the relays as well. ERP8321 is not an uninterrupted power
supply by itself, but switches to the back-up power when the
primary power fails.

Advanced Gateway for BACnet

A gateway is a device that connects two dissimilar networks.

Gateways are vital components in any distributed network,
when more than one protocol need to be integrated. EGM2318
is a high-performance gateway incorporating protocols such as
BACnet, Modbus and MBus. It is a field programmable device,
which can be programmed for complex arithmetic and logic
operations. It comes with a powerful dual core processor with
up to 64MB RAM and 128MB internal flash storage, whilst
supporting the micro SD memory. The RTC with supercapacitor
backup can be used for scheduled operations and wakeup
services, while helping it maintain the logs. The dual network
interface cards can independently be programmed to operate

Monitoring and controlling software for building

automation

Graphics software has been playing a fundamental role in

automation systems. It helps one monitor and control
various electrical, mechanical or other appliances in a
building. EdelView is a graphics software for monitoring and
controlling such appliances in a building automation system,
whilst supporting a wide range of communication protocols
such as BACnet, KNX, Modbus and MBus. It can also be used
for periodical logging of data collected from the appliances
or utility meters, which can later be used for data analysis,
trending, cost evaluation, invoice generation, and many

MSFD Interface Module

Controlling motorized smoke and fire dampers (MSFD)

operating from power supply of 230VAC is nearly impossible,
when a fire alarm control module rated for 120VAC dampers are
used. It can be achieved by using appropriate interface panels
with relays operating from lower voltages. Conventional
approaches in building such interface panels makes it very
assembly, also with increased installation complexity.
ESMSFD1x2 is an alternative solution for this, which operates
with the same principle as of such conventional interface panel.
The compactness of ESMSFD1x2 makes it dominant over its
conventional counterpart, while helping the clients save
significant amount of space and installation time & complexity.

6 channel digital input multiplexer

The EIX3010 multiplexes 6 Volt free contacts or 24VAC/24VDC

signals into single analogue output. This analog output can be
used by a BMS controller to demultiplex the six VFC inputs.
0~5VDC or 0~10VDC output is available making the unit
compatible with a large range of industrial controllers. Input
registers are active when the contact is closed in case of VFC
input. Additionally, each input has a jumper associated with it
to allow an off-site simulation or to manually override the
inputs for commissioning and testing purposes. All inputs have
LED indication, which will glow when the input is active.

FCU relay box

EXP7010 is an universal input relay module, which can

efficiently switch a load by both AC and DC input voltages. This
module is compatible with large range of BMS and Standalone
Thermostats that require compact power box containing relays,
transformer, fuse and connectors inside a single PVC/metal
box. It significantly reduces panel assembly time and allows
easier installation in the project site. This module, when
assembled inside a PVC enclosure along with a 24VAC
transformer, can be widely used for 3-Speed Fan Coil Units in
conjunction with a thermostat or a BMS controller.

• Relay 1, 2 and 3 are dedicated for FCU operation.
