Before I begin painting the mini is prepped by
temporarily attaching both arms with some poster
tack to give me access to some details that would be
harder to reach if glued on, such as the skull on the
belt.
The mini is then primed with Black Primer.

I begin by basecoating some of the major elements:
Skin: Doombull Brown
Pants: 1:3 Black + Military Green
Vest: Luftwaffe Cam. Green
Metal: Black Grey
Bandana and Wraps: Khorne Red
Skull, Gunstock & Sand: Dark Rust

To start painting the skin the first thing I do is picking
out all the muscles with 1:1 Doombull Brown + Cork
Brown.

I start highlighting the muscles with 1:2 Doombull
Brown + Cork Brown mix.
This mix should cover roughly 1/3rd of the upper
section of each muscle.

The final highlight is made with a few fine lines and
dots using 1:1 Cork Brown + Basic Skintone on the
highest points of the muscles.

To begin painting the metal sections I first establish
the largest largest areas of highlighted using Neutral
Grey.
Most of the work when painting NMM is in this stage
since after we’ve established the placement of these
larger highlights we’ll just be applying progressively
smaller ones inside them. So take your time in this
step.

Pure Ivory is used to paint the brightest points of
light.

To add some nuance I apply a few glazes.
First a glaze of Yriel Yellow is painted over the white
highlights.
Luftwaffe Green is then glazed into the shadows and
any highlights facing the ground such as on the
sword blade.
Afterward I reestablish the white highlights on the
areas facing the sky.
