I will be talking about my favorite sport which is football.

This is a thing that has been a part of

my life for a very long time and still will be. I started playing football when I was in junior high
school. I joined the football club of my junior high school. I didn’t know what club to join as there
were so many to choose from but since I liked to play football I chose to join the football club.
This would change my life. This would be a part of my whole junior high school life since we
played football for the whole 3 years. Throughout those 3 years I made many friends and had
great teammates and they would be my closest friends. Before playing football, I had pretty
much nothing in my life to do like no goals or really any achievements and nothing really to work
hard for. Football would be the first thing in my life where I actually wanted to achieve something
through it. I always wanted to be the best in the team but without doing anything, that was not a
possibility. I knew I had to do something to be the best and I knew it wasn’t going to be easy.
When I was in first grade, I was not the best and nowhere near it as I was in the second team.
The first team was full of the older kids and they were much stronger and faster and better than
the first graders. I wanted to be in the first team. I would try to run the furthest, I would try to
defend the most since I was a defender, and I would try to impact the most so I could be in the
first team but team training wasn’t enough. I had to train harder than the others and the only
way I could do that was back at home when everyone else was resting. I would go to the local
park and train my first touch, run for more stamina, and I would do pushups to get stronger. I
would be doing this everyday after team training or after a match and even on the days where
we have a rest day. Even though it was hard, I had to be disciplined enough to be consistent
and trust the long process. After a while, I get called up to the first team and I would feel like I
have actually accomplished something for the first time of my life. I realized that anything is
possible if you put in the work towards it no matter what that thing is. From there on, I would go
out and pursue many goals and achievements that I previously thought were impossible for me.
I actually started to feel better about myself. Even just this small thing in my life playing football
in junior high school for 3 years would change my life drastically. If this never had happened I do
not know where I would be right now so for that I am very grateful for what has happened
throughout my whole life even if it was negative or positive. So from just football being a part of
my life, I learned that there is nothing impossible and that we should be grateful for where we
are right now and be grateful for the things that have happened to us our whole life.
