My Best Friend

My best friend is a girl named Sarah. We have been friends since we were in kindergarten. She is the

kindest and most caring person I know. She is always there for me, no matter what.

Sarah has long, brown hair and big, brown eyes. She is always smiling and laughing. She is the life of

the party and always knows how to make people feel good.

Sarah is very smart and talented. She is always getting good grades in school and she is a great artist.

She loves to draw and paint. She is also a great singer and dancer.

I am so lucky to have Sarah as my best friend. She is always there for me, through thick and thin. I

know that I can always count on her.

My First Day of School

Last Monday was my first day of school at SMP Negeri 1. I was so excited and nervous at the same

time. I had been looking forward to this day for a long time, but I was also a little bit scared. I didn't know

anyone at the school, and I was worried about making friends.

I woke up early that morning and got dressed in my new school uniform. I ate a quick breakfast and

then my mom drove me to school. When we arrived, I saw that there were already a lot of students there. I took

a deep breath and walked inside.

The first thing I did was go to the office to get my class schedule. Then, I found my classroom and

met my teacher. She was really nice and she introduced me to the other students in my class.

After that, we had a tour of the school. We saw the library, the cafeteria, and the gym. We also learned

about the different rules and procedures at the school.

By the end of the day, I was exhausted but happy. I had made some new friends and I was starting to

feel like I belonged at SMP Negeri 1. I was looking forward to coming back the next day.

Sangkuriang: A Legend from West Java

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess named Dayang Sumbi. She lived in a

kingdom called Pasir Batang.

One day, Dayang Sumbi was weaving a cloth when her weaving tool fell to the ground. She

was too lazy to get it herself, so she shouted, "Whoever gets my weaving tool, I will marry him!" A

dog named Tumang heard Dayang Sumbi's shout and brought her weaving tool back to her. Dayang

Sumbi was surprised, but she kept her promise and married [Link] Sumbi and Tumang

had a son named Sangkuriang. Sangkuriang was a handsome and brave young man.

One day, Sangkuriang went hunting in the forest. He brought Tumang with him. Sangkuriang

and Tumang hunted for a long time, but they didn't find any animals. Sangkuriang was angry and he

blamed Tumang. Sangkuriang hit Tumang with a stick and killed him. Sangkuriang didn't know that

Tumang was actually his father.

Dayang Sumbi was very sad when she found out that Sangkuriang had killed Tumang. She

cursed Sangkuriang and said that he would marry his own mother. Sangkuriang didn't know that

Dayang Sumbi was his mother. He met Dayang Sumbi and fell in love with her. Dayang Sumbi was

shocked when she found out that Sangkuriang was her son. She tried to stop the marriage, but

Sangkuriang was determined.

On the day of the wedding, Dayang Sumbi put a mark on Sangkuriang's forehead.

Sangkuriang saw the mark and he realized that Dayang Sumbi was his mother. Sangkuriang was

very ashamed and he ran away. He vowed to never return to Pasir Batang. Sangkuriang traveled far

and wide. He came to a place where there was a big hole in the ground. Sangkuriang decided to fill
the hole with a big rock. Sangkuriang carried the rock on his back. He walked for days and nights.

He was almost to the hole when he tripped and fell. The rock fell from Sangkuriang's back and it

landed in the hole. The hole was filled and a new mountain was formed. The mountain is called

Tangkuban Perahu, which means "overturned boat".

Sangkuriang is a legend from West Java, Indonesia. It is a story about a young man who

unknowingly commits a sin by killing his father and almost marrying his mother. The story is a

reminder to always respect our parents and to be careful of our actions.
