friendly to everyone. This also provides the answer to the ongoing pandemic which helps
the students to have less interaction with others to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS

Using of Online Entrance Exam System, examiners easily access and take the exam
anytime and anywhere. The specific functionality that the system should have include
the following:

3 •

by the guidance counselor to take examination online.
Wait for the verification of the Guidance Counselor when you will take the exam.
The system will automatically give the student number/id.
• Take the exam online.
• Examiner or student’s name and course.
• The system has flexible time but has a limit when start answering.
• The system able to check the results automatically base on students’ answers.
• Display the calculated result quickly and accurately.
• Display the examination result.

BUSINESS NEED

We are expecting our system will provide quality service for all the examiners and expecting
that they will have a good feedback to our system. Examination system identifies modern
process of technology on how it works quickly for the college guidance. We can expect that
this system is a hassle-free exam and give flexible time for the greater ease of the examiner
taking test and completing them on time. We expect to increase in productivity because the
system will allow us to manage time more wisely and deliver satisfactory service of the
examiner. We expect that because of this Online Entrance Examination, the number of
applicant or examiner will increase because they can access it through online and no need
to go to school to submit requirements and verification.
4
Conservative estimates of tangible value to the company include the following:

• Tangible: Php 10, 000.00 savings in electric consumption

Php 5, 000.00 savings in materials (answer sheets)

• Intangible: Customer Satisfaction

SPECIAL ISSUES/CONSTRAINTS

• Examinees will find an easy way of answering examination from the schools.

5
• It will help them a lot to lessen their burden in giving examinations and also lessen the
effort that they exert in filling those exam papers and they can easily get the result.
• The system will not cover the process of enrolling, paying tuition, assessment and course
evaluation.
• The system can save the data of the student and can open by the administrator/guidance

counselor for the student records.
This system can perform faster and more accurate in giving result than a manual system.

FEASIBILITY
TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY
ANALYSIS
Z
1 Online Entrance Exam’s risk regarding familiarity with exam application is
moderately low.

• The Information Technology Department has a strong knowledge of the

system, but it has limited understanding of the system for new users.
• The system offers greater levels of user friendliness combined with
greater processing speed.

Online Entrance Exam requires an Internet Connection to access it.

The examination can access via internet using electronic devices.
The data consume by the system is low. 2
The project size is considered as medium risk

3 •

The project team will likely consist 10 or fewer people.
The system is available to all examiners like to take an exam online.

The compatibility of Online Entrance Examination’s existing technical

4
infrastructure should be good.

• To take online examination, it requires personal information

3
for registration wherein the online entrance examination will need
information to take exam.
• The ISP should be able to scale its services to accommodate the Online
Entrance Exam System.
• There are no restrictions that the controller or the examiner has to be
present when assess in doing the Exam.

RISK MANAGEMENT
PLAN
RISK ASSESSMENT

Risk #1: The development of the system will most likely be slowed
considerable by the chance of loss of records of the student’s data,
may have hardware and software failure such as power loss or data
corruption for the student’s data, malicious software designed to
disrupt computer operation and viruses
Likelihood of Risk: High Probability of Risk

Potential impact on the project: The risk likely will increase the time to complete
programming tasks by 60%

Ways to address the risk: It is very important to protect the system to avoid hardware
and software failure by regularly updating ta software, install
anti-virus/malware software and keep up to date, be careful
with email attachments, don’t click on suspicious links, and
use firewall and use strong virus. Think before you click.

RISK ASSESSMENT

Risk #2: The Internet connectivity is still a huge problem in rural and
remote areas. In the case of a concurrent number of exams,
internet connectivity can be a huge challenge for the smooth
flow and execution of our system online entrance examination.

Likelihood of Risk: High Probability of Risk

Potential impact on the project: The risk likely will increase the time to
complete programming tasks by 40%.
Ways to address the risk:
It is very important that we have the provide guidelines to ensure the
students that this risk will be possible happen when or while they are taking
the entrance examination. So, we have to ask or inform them to secure
their connection after they taking the exam so that they can prepare and
they can response and no more hassle.

RISK ASSESSMENT

Risk #3: The team may experience such as various issues in assigning task
due to lack of team members.

Likelihood of Risk: Medium Probability of Risk

Potential impact on the project: The project will have the probability delay in
developing a system because we lack of team
members that can help as in creating a project
Ways to address the risk:
It is very important that always update the members and do your part and
avoid complaining on the task given to you. As a team, we should help
each other in order to finish the project on the given time to have better
result.

Page l 13
RISK MANAGEMENT
PLAN
RISK ASSESSMENT

Risk #4: The team most likely have a problem in the technology they are
using. Computer problems may happen because of lagging of
computers, not expected black screen, not enough storage and
maybe the computer have slow performance.

Likelihood of Risk: Medium Probability of Risk

Potential impact on the project: The project will most like be slowed and delay in
developing system because of some computer issues
that is used for creating project.
Ways to address the risk:
Always check your computers before using and always update the
software. As a result, it can help the project produce good result and
submit on a given time.

Observation Plan
Objectives: Increase the efficiency in taking entrance examination through online.
List of Observation

Observe how many students have signed into the system to take the entrance
examination.
• The project team will observe how many students can take the exam, due to
the limited slot that who can take the examination in a batch.

Observing the time that they start taking the examination.

• The project team will observe the time started by the examinees, being as if
they sign in late to take the exam, they will not be able to take the exam.

Observing on time students who submit their forms online for their examination.
• The project team will observe if the students have already submitted their
online form examination, in order that the admin can validate the form such
that it can be automatically checked and see the result if the student has
passed.

Observing those who late submitted their online form in their examination to the
system.
• The online examination must be submitted on time to be validated by the
admin. If the online form is not submitted on time the admin will no longer
accept the student's completed form and it will not be validated for checking
and automatic that they have not passed the entrance examination

During the online entrance examination, project team will observe:

• What are the advantages and disadvantages of the system?
• What are the requirements needed to submit to be qualified to take the
