 (2013  ML350)  COMAND  Online  Engineering  Menu  

 
To  enter  the  menu:  press  the  combination  “end  call  +  #  +  1”  together  for  about  10  sec.  There  are  2  
screens  for  Engineering  Mode:  
 

 
 
Go  to  “HW  Settings”.  There  are  3  screens  for  settings  under  “HW  Settings”

Then  go  to  “HU  Parameters”.  The  menu  has  16  screens  for  different  settings  “HU  parameters”  look  
like  this:

Many  of  the  settings  are  clear  by  the  name.  Some  others  are;  
 
39   Hybrid  status:  Changes  option  for  fuel  consumption  screen.  “Hybrid”  option  adds  a  new  
screen  showing  the  battery  level  but  not  much  informative  except  a  cool  view  on  the  screen  as  long  
as  the  car  is  a  hybrid  one.  Options  are  none,  fuel,  fuel/hybrid/recuperation,  fuel/recuperation,  CNG  
Consumption  
 
40   Hybrid  numBars:  The  number  of  bars  in  the  consumption  plot.  Values  between  5  and  30  
 
41  Compass  Type:  SUV  or  non-­‐SUV  (there  is  also  China  type  SUV  and  non-­‐SUV,  whatever  it  means).  
SUV  compass  screen  is  like  below.  Non-­‐SUV  removes  the  car  picture  that  shows  the  turning  angel  of  
front  wheels  (on  the  left  of  screen)

46   Analog  clock:  Changes  the  type  of  clock.  There  are  3  types  as  follows:

70   Hybrid  Unit:  It  changes  the  unit  in  the  consumption  plot.  Examples  of  unit:  l/100km,  km/l,

72   Off  Road  Body  Style:  It  changes  the  car  picture  between  ML  and  GL  on  the  ON&OFF  ROAD  
screen  (see  number    
 
73    MCS:  turns  on  massage  screen  where  different  massage  options  can  be  selected  for  driver  and  
passenger  front  seats.  No  use  if  there  is  no  massage  seat  installed

96   Clock  View:  It  puts  a  small  digital  clock  on  left  up  corner  even  if  the  screen  is  off  
 
101   ABC  Ilustr:  changes  the  unit  in  ABC  screen  between  ECE  and  USA  
 
103   Vehicle  Info  Scr:  enables  “ON&OFF  ROAD”  or  “ABC”  info  screen  on  the  COMAND  display.  
Where  clock  and  consumption  are  shown.  Both  are  cool  info  screens.  Unfortunately  they  cannot  be  
chosen  together.

After  entering  engineering  mode  as  explain  above,  there  is  another  engineering  mode  (some  calls  
secret  menu).  To  enter  this  second  engineering  mode,  press  “end  call  +  4  +  #”  combination  for  about  
10  sec  after  entering  the  first  engineering  mode  as  explained  above.  This  will  bring  up  the  second  
engineering  mode  with  the  following  two  screens:
