APRIL 2024

Day 1 1st April, 2024

BEGIN AGAIN
Key Texts: 2 Corinthians 5:16-17; Acts 15:36-40, 2 Tim 4:9-11
God gives everyone the opportunity to start afresh. He is not ashamed to give you a fresh
start, so you should not be afraid of taking on new beginnings. Why do you need new
beginnings? Well, you may have encountered mistakes, shortcomings, or failures on the
road, mild and grievous alike. No matter the weight of the error, God always gives you
another opportunity to start again.

Looking at the scriptures, you will see examples of men who had come to the end of their
roads. People who had made errors you’d never imagine they would come out of. But at the
end of their days, if the Bible didn’t record those shortcomings, you wouldn’t have imagined
they were ever there.

John Mark, being one of our case studies, was rejected by Paul the Apostle on the grounds
of his inconsistencies in ministry. That should have been the end of his journey to becoming
all the Lord had planned for him, but it was not. Later, Paul would request that John Mark be
brought to him because he was profitable for the ministry. It means John Mark grew; he
became solid in the ministry. He was the one who wrote the gospel of Mark and
documented the accounts of Jesus' life and ministry on the earth.

Why do you feel God can't use you? Have you made a terrible mistake? God, in His dealings
with you, has made available many new beginnings. He knows you are frail and may stray
or err, and so He makes provisions for you to start afresh. Let your heart not faint because
of your failures. It's a year of change, but it's possible to fall into despair when it looks like
you are not meeting up with your resolutions. But whatever it is, you must know that God is
with you on your journey. He is interested and committed to you fulfilling your ministry.
Don't give up! Begin again today!

Confession: I will not fall into despair. I take hold of the new beginning God has made
available to me. I will begin again. I forget the past and behold the new that has come.

Day 2 2nd April, 2024

BEGIN AGAIN
Key Texts: Matthew 26:33-35,69-75, John 21:15-18
Every new day presents you with an opportunity to improve, correct the wrongs of
the past, set new goals and targets, and scale new heights. In order not to repeat the
errors of the past, it is wise to take account of your past experiences. There were
events that caused the mistake to happen. If you don’t put those events in check,
there's the tendency to fall into the same ditch again.

For instance, it's good to know how and what made you lose your prayer fire. If it was
offense, then you know you should not accommodate offense in your life anymore. If
there were distractions, then you note the distractions and cut them off from your life.

Jesus told Peter at Gethsemane, "Pray so that you will not fall into temptation." But he
was overcome by sleep. In the end, he denied Jesus. He learned from this mistake. In
Acts 6:4, when he realized that their attention had been diverted towards sharing
food, He said, "...but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and the ministry of the
Word." He had seen the impact of prayer on the minister of the gospel.

One thing God will help you with is the wisdom to think and ponder. For instance, if
you fell back into an addiction, you should be able to point out what triggered it. If you
think it through, you will detect the point where you lost your guard and then cut it off
from your life by removing yourself from any situation that makes you get to that
point. This will help prevent you from repeating such mistakes. This year, God will
cause you to be wise in your actions and in detecting wrong thinking that has
produced the wrong conduct or experience so that you can make progress.

Confession: God has not written me off, so I will not write myself off. I begin again today. I
am wiser today and more intentional about my actions and thoughts.

Day 3 3rd April, 2024

BEGIN AGAIN
Key Text: Acts 9:1-17
As you journey in life, your failures could have made God's dream for you vague in your
sight. Maybe you don’t believe that God can use you for big things. Although you accept
God’s Word that you are forgiven, you do not believe that God can still use you for His glory.
God's word to you is to believe again!

Looking at Apostle Peter’s case, no one would think that Jesus could still trust him with the
responsibility of feeding the flock after he denied the Lord, as we saw yesterday. You know
how bad you would feel if a friend denied you and how much more when a brother or sister
denies you before the public. Now that's how bad it felt! But Jesus never brings up the issue
upon His resurrection. He gave Peter an assignment to lead His flock.

Also, Paul, formerly called Saul, should not have qualified for the assignment Christ Jesus
gave him. His history was notorious. Everyone knew him as a murderer. But Jesus gave him
a new beginning. The new beginning Jesus gave him had no relationship with his past.
Jesus gave him a brand new chapter. Paul travelled around the world, preaching the same
gospel he tried to silence.

You have to believe again that though you have made a grievous mistake that many people
know about, God has not written you off. You still have a role to play in the furtherance of
the gospel around the world. Remember those dreams you had in the past where you saw
how much God could do through you? You have to recall them again! Like Joseph, the
circumstances he went through made it seem as though his dreams had waned, but God
still brought those dreams to reality. The same will be your case.

Confession: God has not written me off. I do not write myself off. I begin again today. I am
wiser today and more intentional about my actions and thoughts.

Day 4 4th April, 2024

BEGIN AGAIN
Key Texts: Romans 12:2; Romans 8:1

Another thing you must do in God's new beginning is to renew your mind again. You may
have absorbed a lot of garbage from your past experiences, and so the need to renew
your mind again with God's word.

Failures and errors most times come with guilt and condemnation. Many times, when
you fail, you begin to feel you are not deserving of so much in life anymore. You may
have settled for an average life because you somehow feel it is too much for you to start
thinking about changing lives.

If you keep dwelling on those regrets, guilt, and condemnation, they will cause a lot of
damage to your spiritual life. This is why you must take the Word of God on the matter
and saturate your mind with it.
Romans 8:1 says, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ
Jesus.
There's no condemnation to the man in Christ. God still has a plan for him. The same
thing goes for you.

Put yourself in that verse and read it out to yourself again until your mind comes to
accept it whether you feel like it or not. God has decided to overlook your flaws and
errors in His dealings with you. If God doesn’t keep a record of your wrongdoings,
neither should you. Repent and forge ahead! Make the necessary corrections that need
to be made, but don't settle in the pool of guilt and condemnation. God has justified you
in Christ!

Confession: God has given me a fresh start. I'm not condemned for God has justified
me. I forge ahead, knowing that God is with me and walking with me on my journey to
transformation. No giving up!

Day 5 5th April, 2024

BEGIN AGAIN
Key Text: 2 Samuel 12:1-24

In our key text, David had done something terrible. He had taken the wife of His loyal
servant, Uriah, and in a bid to cover his sins, had arranged for Uriah’s death. Nobody
knew, but God saw the act of David and sent the Prophet, Nathan to him.

When David's well-covered sins were made known to him by the Prophet, you would
expect that day to be the end of his story—God would never have anything to do
with him and his kingdom would be taken away from him. But that was not the end of
David's life and reign. He found mercy in God's sight. God gave him a fresh start and
even gave him his heir from Beersheba, Uriah’s wife.

What does this tell you? God has not written you off. No matter what has befallen
you. It may be a fault that you can't boldly share because of the shame or rejection
that will accompany it. But God who saw what you did in secret has not written you
off. He is ever willing to give you another fresh start. One thing you must not do is to
write yourself off. When you give up on yourself, you have lost hope in God's word. He
is the God of new beginnings and He delights in giving you a fresh start when you
mess up.

Reach out to God again. Plan again; believe again; see the big picture again. You may
feel you’re out of God’s plan, but He is still interested in you. Ending your life is not the
way to deal with hopeless situations; it's to reach out to the God who restores hope
and gives a fresh start to any who reaches out to Him in faith.

Prayer: I reach out to you O God of new beginning. I dream again and believe again.
Restore hope to my heart again.

Day 6 6th April, 2024

OVERCOMING LIFE'S TROUBLES

Key Text: 2 Corinthians 7:5-6
As a believer, how should you respond in a world where there appear to be
obstacles, economic hardship, inflation rate, and a resurgence of violence? Is it okay
for you to cry, get scared, and whine like everyone else? Is it okay for you to feed your
fears and react in the same way as the general public?

A Christian is an optimist, not a pessimist. He believes in miracles. He always believes

things can work out. The man who has given up hope in life has lost the character of a
Christian. In our key text, Apostle Paul said, “Our flesh had no rest, but we were
troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.” Looking at the
surrounding circumstances caused fear to grow within his heart. Life was not
easygoing or fair to them. But God came through: “God that comforteth those that
are cast down comforted us…”

A lot of Christians do not know that there is an active enemy—the devil—after their
lives. He is roaming about looking for whom to devour. But the Bible instructs us to
resist him steadfastly. Our response to life troubles and tough times is to trust the
Lord and resist the devil.

God comes through in times of trouble, and He delivers in times of problems. There is
nothing like hopelessness for a child of God since He believes in God, which means
He believes in miracles. You are open to the supernatural. Omnipotence is at work for
you, so you do not have to give up. People who believe in miracles cannot be in
despair, Hallelujah! Anxiety, fear, and worry are not meant to be your responses to
life; you should rather trust in the Lord and the comfort that He provides.

Confession: I refuse to be worried by the difficulties I face in this life. My trust is in the
Lord, and I will never be moved.

Day 7 7th April, 2024

OVERCOMING LIFE'S TROUBLES

Key Text: 2 Corinthians 7:5-6
Dear believer, in the ministry of Jesus, you will have troubles. There will be times when
you may become disturbed. You may have a disciple that you have been teaching for a
while but suddenly starts acting disorderly and missing church services while refusing to
pick up your calls. You may be wondering: “What didn't I do right?” The conflict outside
might become a cause of fear within. You may start asking yourself if God has actually
called you.

Your case might be that you prayed and were expecting a full service or cell meeting,
but people didn't come as you anticipated. Some may even come and still not pay
attention; they might just be busy with their phones while the preaching is going on. This
can make you wonder if prayer really works. Or, you’ve gone out to pray for the sick, but
you don’t get as many results as you expected, and that causes worry in your heart.

In all these situations, the minister of the gospel ought to be strong and not doubtful.
Remember, you can never serve Jesus or be effective in ministry with your strength.
Some people think that because they can succeed in ministry because they have
charisma. Or that, because they are good at public speaking, it will automatically lead to
being a great minister; but it is not so.

If you want to serve Jesus, you have to trust in the power of God. What changes people
is God's power. People come to church looking for change, and you can’t provide that
by eloquent speaking or melodious voice; it’s a work of power. Acts 1:8 says, “But ye
shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be
witnesses unto me..." Ministry might is the Holy Ghost's power, and this has been made
available to you by God through His Spirit. Now, you can depend on Him to have results
in your work.

Prayer: Lord, I depend totally on you for strength. I refuse to be discouraged by my

experiences. I trust and receive your help, Lord!

Day 8 8th April, 2024

OVERCOMING LIFE'S TROUBLES

Key Texts: 2 Corinthians 7:5-6, Mark 5:35-43
The God you serve deals with impossible situations. What will bring the natural
man to despair should not bring you to do the same, because even in the face of
death, God can see you through. If you have known God for a while, He would have
brought you out of one sickness or another. That same God who healed
headaches can heal cancer too. God’s power goes beyond what we can see or
even imagine.

In chapter five of the book of Mark, Jairus, the ruler of the synagogue, had a
daughter who was sick, and he came to Jesus to heal her. He believed Jesus could
heal, but when news came to him that she was dead, his faith was moved. But
Jesus immediately responded, “Be not afraid, only believe.”

Fear and unbelief would have cost him his miracle. Dear child of God, in any life
trouble or difficulty you find yourself, refuse to be afraid. Fear is the absence of
faith; believe in the power of God to come through. When Jesus said that the
damsel was not dead but sleeping, the response of the people was laughter and
mockery.

People might make a mockery of your faith when you believe God for a miracle but
respond like Jesus, “When he had put them all out…” Put out the doubts and
unbelief. Don’t stay around those who will mock your faith, but rather find those
who will believe God with you.
If you have been where there seemed to be no hope and God delivered you, trust
Him again. He will deliver you in any situation you are in.

Confession: I trust the help of God; I refuse to pay attention to contrary

opinions. I refuse fear; I stay full of faith.

Day 9 9th April, 2024

OVERCOMING LIFE'S TROUBLES

Key Text: John 11:32-44

Yesterday, we looked at the story of Jairus and why you need to put away the
unbelieving crowd when you want to see a miracle in your life. You can't believe
God and be looking for pity and carrying a long face. You should take that
challenge to the Lord in prayer, not to complain, but to stand on His word and
hold on to it until you see your situation change. For instance, if someone is sick,
you know if they will be healed by their words and what they say. Are they
complaining and crying? Or speaking and affirming God’s Word?

In Chapter 11 of the book of John, Lazarus, Jesus’ friend was sick and eventually
died. His sister Martha had thought that Jesus would have been able to keep
him from passing away, but now that he has passed away, she was unsure if
Jesus could still raise him from the dead.

Jesus’s response to her was, “I am the resurrection and the life; he that
believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” He has mastery over
death. When He stood at the tomb of Lazarus, He completely ignored death. In
verse 43, “When He thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come
forth. And he that was dead came forth…”

Jesus has defeated death, sin, and satan. We now have victory in him. So our
faith should not be moved in the face of death because we have a God who
raises the dead. If there is death in any area of your life, in your business,
academics, finances, or marriage—begin to speak life to it now!

Prayer: I believe in God’s power to bring life to every unfruitful area of my life. I must
see change. Amen!

Day 10 10th April, 2024

OVERCOMING LIFE'S TROUBLES

Key Text: 1 Samuel 30:1–18
God’s Word is clear on how to be when you are passing through trials and temptation.
James 1:2 NLT says, “Dear brothers and sisters when troubles of any kind come your
way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.” The believer should be joyful in all
circumstances, whether good or bad. He should stay positive, full of faith, and not
entertain defeat.

In the 30th chapter of the book of 1 Samuel, David and his men went to war. While they
were away, the Amalekites invaded Ziklag, their home, and took everything they had.
Their wives and children were taken captive. David and the people who were with him
lifted their voices and wept until they had no more power to weep. His mighty men spoke
of stoning him because the soul of all the people was grieved.

Everybody faced the same condition, but David did something different, knowing that this
despair could not help him. In verse 6, the Bible says, “But David encouraged himself in
the LORD, his God.” There was seemingly no hope, but he refused to despair; he did what
others could not do. In bad times, people find it easy to forget what God has done. David
must have remembered all the victories the Lord has wrought through him: the killing of
the bear, lion, and Goliath, and the countless battles he had won, and was encouraged to
inquire of the Lord.

When you have no memory of what God has done, you cannot believe him in the current
situation. You need to always remind yourself of the victories you have received from
God. It will increase your consciousness and trust in God. Doubt and unbelief will not find
their place in your heart when you are mindful of God’s goodness in your life.

Confession: I remember God’s help, provision, and supply. If He did it before, He will do
much more for me in this current situation.

Day 11 11th April, 2024

GOD’S DREAM; OUR PART

Key Text: Matthew 28:18-20
God has a desire; He has a dream. There is something He wants done on the earth. It
might sound strange to hear that the Almighty God who made the heavens and the earth
has a dream. As a human, you may have a dream of where you want to be in the next five
years and what you want to accomplish in your life. It’s awesome to have personal dreams
and ambitions, but you must also know there are things God wants to accomplish through
you.

According to our text, Jesus commanded His disciples—and us by extension—to go and

make disciples. This was after declaring that “All authority has been given to me in heaven
and on earth.” The word “disciple” came from the Greek word “matheteuo,” which means
“a pupil”, or “a student.” This is beyond converts or churchgoers, but people learning of
Christ. A fundamental dream of God is His desire to replicate men after Christ, so He
instructs us to “go,” showing that we have a part in this dream. We have to play our roles
effectively for God’s dream on the earth to come to pass.

In Acts 1:8, Jesus, before His ascension, promised His disciples, “But ye shall receive
power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” This power of the Holy Spirit was for
something so cardinal to the plan of God, which is to be witnesses of Him. Jesus has
ordained that it is men who will bear a record of Him on the earth. You are one of those
who will tell the world of His undying love and His saving power.

God wants the whole world—from your immediate environment to the uttermost part of
the earth—to know Him. So He gave you His Holy Spirit for this task. In these few days,
you will see what God’s dream is and your part to play.

Prayer: Open my eyes Lord that I may see your desire for the world and my
responsibility in bringing it to pass.

Day 12 12th April, 2024

GOD’S DREAM; OUR PART

Key Text: 1 Timothy 2:3-7

Yesterday, we started looking at God’s dream and desire for the world. We saw that He
wants us to be witnesses of Him and make disciples of all nations. God wants you
healthy, He wants you to prosper, He wants to meet your needs and pay your bills. But
in the order of priority, the most important dream of God is that all men are saved.

In our key text, the good and acceptable thing to God is that ALL MEN are saved. This
is His greatest desire for mankind. The onus lies with you to respond to His desire.
God’s dream is beyond good technology, money, good roads, etc, even though all
these are good things. His will is that all men be saved. This isn't some passive desire.
It’s an active desire because Jesus did something about it. It was not wishful thinking or
mere fantasy. He offered himself as a payment for all men’s sins. God desires that all
men are saved, and He paid for the salvation of all mankind.

This act of love needs to be testified. God saved us so we can testify of His saving
power to others. Our part is to share with all the world the great deed that our Lord and
Saviour has done. Jesus mediated between man and God through the giving of His life
and instructs us to go out and testify about Him to the people in this world whom He
died for. This is the great commission.

In 1 Timothy 2:7, Apostle Paul said he had been ordained a preacher, an Apostle, and a
teacher of the Gentiles in faith. You might not be an apostle or a teacher but God has
ordained you a preacher of this great news of Christ. He has called you to tell all the
world about His saving power.

Prayer: I am committed to doing my part, to testify the gospel from my immediate

environment to the whole world.

Further Reading: 1 Timothy 1:1-19

Day 13 13th April, 2024

GOD’S DREAM; OUR PART

Key Text: 1 Timothy 2:3-6, Romans 1:16
We have seen that the desire of God is for all men to be saved. The gospel is
God’s power to save all men. This gospel is the news of the death, burial, and
resurrection of Jesus. This is God’s way of salvation for everyone whether you
are a Jew or a Gentile. There are no different standards or different means to be
saved.

In John 14:6, Jesus affirmed that He is the way to the Father, no one can come to
God only through Him. This has not changed even in the 21st century. There is a
common problem that all men have—the sin problem. The advancement in
technology of this age cannot solve it, and neither can good governance.

The Bible in Ephesians 2:1-5 shows us the state of the unsaved man—he is dead
in sin, he walks according to the course of this world, and by nature is a child of
disobedience, a child of wrath, the devil is his father. The man in sin is doomed
and destined for hell. If he never accepts the gospel of Christ his soul will perish.

God has done His part, in that while we were dead in sin, He sent forth His son
Jesus to die for our sins. His love and mercy drove Him to the cross to die for
mankind. The highest expenditure of God’s power was shown in the resurrection
of Jesus so that men shall be raised with Him in the newness of life. Our part is not
to be ashamed of this life-saving gospel. We have been committed with the
utmost responsibility to herald the gospel. Rise to that call, go out today, and win a
soul.

Prayer: I am committed to do my part, to testify the gospel from my immediate

environment to the whole world.

Day 14 14th April, 2024

GOD’S DREAM; OUR PART

Key Text: Numbers 14:21, Habakkuk 2:14, 2 Corinthians 4:1-6
God through the mouth of the prophets has spoken, “For the earth shall be filled
with the knowledge of the glory of God.” We will examine what “the glory of God”
is as spoken by the prophets. In 2 Corinthians 4:4-6, apostle Paul described the
role of the god of this world (satan), who has blinded the minds of those who
believe not. For a man to hear the gospel and not believe it, it's the devil that has
blinded them from seeing clearly.

In verse 4, the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, is the
same as “the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus
Christ” used in verse 6. This is the light that God has shone in our hearts—the light
of the gospel. The glory of God, as prophesied in the old testaments by the
prophets, is the gospel of Christ. God dreams that the knowledge of the gospel of
Christ will cover all the earth—for all men to hear the Gospel and be saved.

Jesus had commanded us to go into all the world and preach the gospel. As
surely as the Lord lives, the whole earth will be covered with that knowledge, and
the world will know about Jesus.
As we go, Christ is going with us. God partners with you as you go preaching the
gospel. You are partnering with God to bring His long-desired dream; you’re
fulfilling the prophecy! And it is a great privilege to be in partnership with God.

No matter how busy your daily schedule is, you can make time in the week to
preach to someone about the love and sacrifice of Jesus. Join your cell and
church evangelism and spread the gospel.

Confession: I am in partnership with God to make Christ known all over the world, and I
will do my part. I am not going on my own, God has sent me and He is always with me. I
will not fail.

Day 15 15th April, 2024

GOD’S DREAM; OUR PART

Key Text: Acts 10:1-8, 21-44
Man’s greatest need is salvation. God desires that everyone hear that He has provided
for it in Christ. According to our text, Cornelius was a kind man who constantly prayed
to God and gave alms to the needy. Yet, these things did not save him. God sent an
angel to ask him to send for Peter, who shall tell him what he ought to do. The salvation
of Cornelius was so important to God that He sent an angel to initiate the move.

Notice the angel didn't preach to him because preaching the gospel has been
committed to men alone. Men preach the Gospel to other men! In God’s plan to have
men saved, the believer is very fundamental. In this plan for the whole world to be
saved, God will always raise men in every nation to preach.

Sin is a universal problem; the gospel is the universal solution and it involves men. The
mission that God has given to us is a universal mandate. Imagine if every believer takes
preaching the gospel seriously, reaching the world won't take that long. The knowledge
of the glory of God will soon fill the earth. Dear believer, you have to see yourself in the
call of God. It's time to take your task seriously.

You may want to get your life all together before you start preaching. But preaching the
gospel is not for perfect people. As the perfecting process is happening in your life, you
are meant to be out preaching. As the Lord is working in you, You should be found
talking to someone about Jesus. God uses mere men, those yielded to the will and
desire of God. You have to see that you are very fundamental to this plan of God to see
men saved. You’ve been given the responsibility to preach the gospel.

Confession: I am in partnership with God to make Christ known all over the world, and I
will do my part. I am not going on my own, God has sent me and He is always with me. I
will not fail.

Day 16 16th April, 2024

INSISTING ON GOD’S WILL

Key Text: Psalm 61:1-8
It’s exciting to know that the Christian faith is not some personal project we choose to
pick up on our own or to carry out. The logical approach to awarding a contract is
looking through the profile of candidates to know who is the best fit for the job, but
things don’t work that way in this ministry of Jesus. We have confidence that the one
who has sent us is with us. He is personally involved and committed to our victory.

That’s why flawed men like us can expect to fulfill God’s plan in this ministry because
we have the help of God. In this study, we’ll take a closer look at the help of God, and
what it means for us in the days of trouble.

We all have low points for one reason or the other, times of difficulty. David in our key
text today reveals that when such times come, he goes to the rock that is higher than
he. Difficult days for him were not days of murmuring or complaining, but days of
seeking the Lord. Every one of us would need this at one point or the other in our lives,
and just like David, when overwhelmed, we ought to go to the rock that is higher. This
was the help that Jesus sought in the garden of Gethsemane. He knew the
responsibility and the suffering that awaited him, but there was a strengthening that
was necessary, and God’s help was available.

The man who will do God’s will can be rest assured that it won’t come easy, insisting on
God’s will in any capacity will, most times, come at a heavy cost. When the price looks
difficult to pay, when the world mounts its pressures, go to the rock that is higher than
you. Go and be strengthened with might.

Prayer: Dear Father, fill my heart with your Holy Desires, with a passion to win and
reach this world for You. Help me to see possibilities and be full of hope for what is
possible by Your power.

Day 17 17th April, 2024

INSISTING ON GOD’S WILL

Key Text: 2 Chronicles 14:8-14

Today we continue our study on insisting on the will of God. Yesterday we saw what
David described as going to the rock that is higher than he. Looking at our key text for
today, you’ll notice that these men had certain convictions. They were sure of what the
outcome would be if they had the help of God. It didn’t matter the obstacle or the
number of soldiers they were up against; they were sure of victory if God was
involved.

In 1 Samuel 14:6, we see that Jonathan had the same persuasion as well. They knew
well enough that God had no problem working in difficult circumstances or impossible
situations. Like these men, we must be optimistic. We must see possibilities in the
power of God.

Much can change when the hand of God is involved in any matter, and our lives are not
different. The toughest situation you would face would probably not be as hopeless as
the Israelites between the Egyptians and the Red Sea, but God’s power has worked in
such difficult situations for as long as you can think, and your case won’t be different.

It’s important to note that there is a virtue of sincerity we must have in dealing with
God. There’s no possibility of getting past Him or beyond His knowledge. Sincerity is
to bare yourself before God as a man who needs help, and when you pray this way,
instructions will come. Be disciplined enough to carry them out. In God’s instructions,
we see His wisdom to arrive at the outcome we seek, hence you must act in
obedience to those instructions. In doing so you will see your desired results.

Prayer: Dear Father, I trust You; I trust Your power that is able to save and deliver no
matter the circumstance. Today, I dig in to make that power available to deal with
whatever situation I face. Thank You, Lord.

Day 18 18th April, 2024

INSISTING ON GOD’S WILL

Key Texts: James 4:7, James 5:13
Yesterday we saw the conviction of some men in the Bible, that God is well able to do
mighty things when He gets involved, and this drove them to prayer. We can clearly
see that through the insistence that men like Jacob had. It’s like a nagging child that
just won’t go away till he gets what he wants. James says that his prescription to the
afflicted man is to pray! This can’t be the type of prayer you stop or give up on. If
you’re still afflicted, then the word of God to you is to keep praying. There’s no room
for complaining here, the man/woman of God that wants to win must insist.

Have you found parts of your life that ought not to be, an issue you want to get rid of,
a lingering problem, the afflicted man is instructed to pray! It’s a culture we must
develop, be the overactive believer, and escalate things very quickly. Fix a 7-day fast
the moment you see lust at the door, confess the word for 1 hour at the slightest
headache—that’s resisting the Devil.

James assures us that if we resist the devil, He will flee. That’s taking for granted that
the devil will show up with his usual intention (John 10:10). You can be sure he won’t
play nice, he’s not about to pity you or become soft. The believer must also show up
in a way that makes it clear that he came for war. You did not come this far to settle
for less or to let the devil win.

Be ready for things to get tough. The devil mostly puts up his biggest attack to get
you to quit when he sees that you’re about to win. Stand your ground and take the
posture of a man who has no option but to win. What has the Lord told you is
possible? Insist on it. Stand your ground!

Confession (An excerpt from Metamorphosis): I am called by God to reach the

world. God has ordained for men to hear my voice. I won’t quit on soul-winning and
discipleship. The earth is the Lord’s. I am Jesus’ man sent to recover His inheritance,
and I will win.

Day 19 19th April, 2024

INSISTING ON GOD’S WILL

Key Text: James 5: 13-18

Yesterday we saw the assurance of God’s word to us that if we insist, the enemy will flee.
So, if the devil is still in the scene, then it’s not over yet, it’s over when he flees. One very
important place where we fight this warfare is in the place of Prayer. James says that if
the righteous man can pray effectively and fervently, he will make tremendous power
available (James 5:16 AMP). This means there’s no situation too bad to pray about,
there’s no situation, and no man that cannot be changed on bent knees.

When you spend time feeling frustrated or complaining, it is completely wasted. But
when you spend time praying, you’re getting God’s power involved, and things change
when God’s power is involved.

David spent more time focusing on God than on the problem (Psalm 121:1-4). He spent
more time deliberating on God’s power than on the might of his enemies. Brother/Sister,
you must be persuaded that God did not bring you this far to fail. It must be a certainty in
your mind. At times, the circumstances around you will not look like the prophecies that
have gone ahead of you, but that’s when to insist in prayer!

Elijah was so sure of the word of God that he could request for the last meal of a widow
and her son. The Lord had sent him there, and the word of God had gone forth (1 King
17:12-14). That’s something to bank on, it may look like the end, but God is involved, so it
can’t be the end!

Confessions (An excerpt from Metamorphosis): I can’t fail, I will succeed. I reject
discouragements. The power backing me is too powerful for me to be defeated. The
stakes are too high for me to fail or quit. I am sent by God, and I will win!

Day 20 20th April, 2024

INSISTING ON GOD’S WILL

Key Text: James 5: 13-16
As we round up this topic today, it should be clear by now that you are at war with
an adversary, one that doesn’t like you at all. But this adversary is also utterly
powerless against you if you just choose to stay in the fight. You’re built to outlast
the devil in every area of your life. You don’t have to lose on any front at all. It’s not
a bargain, it’s refusing to allow that thief to steal your victory. Don’t be afraid to tag
God in. Many times, believers are so scared of things not working out that they
are unwilling to pray or believe for anything. But God is faithful, so we can count
on Him.

You can rest assured that if God has asked you to do something that you
naturally cannot do, then He will supply the ability. He’s an ever-present Father,
which means you can go to Him when you feel overwhelmed. You can call on Him
when things are clearly not working out, and He’ll be there to help.

Be determined to win at all cost, be determined to pray until the strength of God
consumes your weaknesses so that you don’t go through life and ministry at the
mercy of the devil. As God’s children, we have been called to live a certain
standard of life—the life Christ lived, spoiling principalities and powers and
running the devil out of people’s lives.

We must live according to this standard, so if you gave up on any part of your life,
pick up your sword and get back in the war. God’s word has gone ahead of you to
reveal the victory that is possible in your life and ministry. Insist! Believe the Word!
Resist the devil, and Win!

Prayer: Dear Father, I believe Your Word that You have strengthened me with Your
might, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. I will be tough as I ought to
be, I will not give in to the devil’s lies and deceptions. I will win. Thank You, Lord.

Day 21 21st April, 2024

ABLE MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL

Key Texts: Matt. 28:18-20, Mark. 16:15-20
Every believer has been called to be a minister of the gospel. You don’t have to be a
pastor or a bishop or any of the big titles. When you believed the gospel, you received a
ministry and became a minister (2 Cor 5:17-21). Every time we hear the word ‘minister,’ we
often think it’s some honorary title, and that discourages us from the very start. But let’s
look at the actual meaning of “minister.” It’s from the Greek word “diakonia,” which means
“a servant”.

So, ministry is service. When we say you’re a minister of the gospel, it means you serve
others in the gospel of Christ. God has called every Christian to serve. He doesn’t have a
special call for a particular set of people or gender. It is God’s call, and He calls everyone in
spite of what you think disqualifies you.

A lot of people feel they’ve been disqualified from ministry because of their moral failings
or physical inabilities. But Jesus doesn’t call based on merits. Christian ministry is a thing
of power. The power of the Holy Ghost is the drive behind anything we do in the ministry
of Jesus. So, God is your ability. This means that you have all you need to succeed in the
ministry. If the requirement for ministry was physical, we’d all vary in our abilities. But, since
God is our ability, we can all have it. We can all go out and reach the world for Jesus
despite our physical failings.

It’s a universal call. Everyone who has received the Holy Ghost has been called to be a
witness of Jesus. (Acts 1:8) God will always use men. The men might have flaws,
inconsistencies, weaknesses, and imperfections but God will still use men. Your failures or
humanity doesn’t mean that God will not use you. God will use you. All you have to do is
trust Him and be available. Hallelujah!

Confession: I am a minister of the gospel. God has called me to reach the world with
the gospel of Jesus. I will go out trusting His ability to help me. Amen

Day 22 22nd April, 2024

ABLE MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL

Key Text: Phil. 2:5-11
In the ministry we have received, our Patron and example is the Lord Jesus. He is the
example to follow and the one to be served. We cannot talk about ministry without
talking about the ministry of the Lord Jesus. Let’s look at how Jesus served.

The life of Jesus in the Bible was primarily a life of ministry. The apostles who wrote the
four gospels gave us very little about Jesus’ life outside the ministry. We don’t know
Jesus’ height or complexion or His likes and dislikes. In fact, apostle John entirely skips
the ceremony of Jesus’ birth and childhood. The primary information in the Bible about
the life of Jesus was His ministry. The emphasis on Jesus’ life was how He came to the
world to serve.

So, when a man is following Jesus, one cardinal thing you’ll see is ministry. Every time
you say you want to be like Jesus, you should want to be a minister. Jesus was a solid
minister, a disciplined, committed minister. He gave His life in service to the world. God
as a man came to serve. Think about it, if God in the flesh was a servant, you who’s a
son of God ought to be nothing less.

Jesus is the king who served. He served by giving His life. His work and his victory were
in His service. And just like our key text says, we are to follow Jesus’ example. We are
to serve like He served. Jesus prayed a lot. We can’t do any less. He taught His
disciples and loved them. Jesus served with love and compassion for the lost. You are
to be that way in your own ministry.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to be just as You were in service to the world. Help me to
love as You did and to pour out my life for the world I’ve been sent to reach. Thank you,
Lord.

Day 23 23rd April, 2024

ABLE MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL

Key Text: 2 Cor 3:1-18

In our key text, Paul calls the Corinthian church the epistle of Christ, ministered by the
Spirit of God. In other words, they were Christ’s artwork and message to the world
but were written by Apostle Paul. This simply means that as the apostles preached,
they brought the influence of God's spirit to the Corinthians such that their lives
began to reflect Christ. He also said that they didn’t do it with ink but by the Spirit of
God.

This means that in ministry, the Spirit of God is a cardinal partner that works in the
hearts of the men you minister to. Christ’s work is done by Christ’s sufficiency.
Ministry is by the spirit of God. Vs. 5 and 6 of our key text says that we are not
sufficient of ourselves but our sufficiency is of God. Our competence and ability are
of God. He didn’t say we’re not sufficient. He says that our sufficiency is of God.

This means that in the work of ministry, you are sufficient and able of God. He has
made you a competent minister. Everyone who’s born again is a competent minister
of the gospel because he has the spirit. You’re to serve with God’s ability. He is your
sufficiency and competence. Ministry begins with knowing that the ability is His.

Ministry is spiritual. It’s not in eloquence or grammar. Every time you go to preach, the
Father is there with you. Jesus wants you to always be conscious that in your
preaching, the Father is there with you. He’s the one supplying the ability. You must
learn to depend on Him every day and every time.

Confession: I am a minister of the gospel. When I go out to preach, I bring the Spirit’s
influence to the lives of men. I show forth God's power and glory through my words and
life. Hallelujah.

Day 24 24th April, 2024

ABLE MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL

Key Texts: 2 Cor 4:1-8

There’s one major ingredient for being an able minister of the gospel. That is the
indwelling of the Spirit of God. He is the treasure you have in you. In your
humanity is God’s divinity.

We have this treasure in our earthen vessels so that the excellency may not be of
ourselves but of God. A lot of the time, God is in the habit of using the simple
things of life to show forth His glory. Christ was born in a manger. So it’s in God’s
nature to use unattractive things. God has hidden something mighty in us.
Something that can outlive this world. We are of God and have overcome the
world.

Think about it for a moment, your ability is of God. Every day, take a minute or
two and remind yourself that your ability is of God. Tongues have a way of
reminding you of God’d supernatural ability in you. So, pray in tongues often. In
the work of ministry, the Spirit is supreme. You’ve got this treasure. The gospel of
power is on your lips. If your ability is of God, then you won’t fail. It’s not
dependent on anything but God. So, you have all you need.

You are enabled for the work. You know what to do and how to do what you
have to do. You’ll not fail in the work of ministry because you’re depending on the
unseen one. Dear servant of the Lord Jesus, go and reach the nations in His
name. Disciple them, bring them into the work of ministry. The Spirit is your
ability. Hallelujah!

Confession: I have this treasure in my earthen vessel. I have the Spirit of God in me
and that changes everything. He is my ability and my sufficiency.

Day 25 25th April, 2024

ABLE MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL

Key Text: Luke 5: 1-11
When Jesus met Peter, Peter’s excuse was that he was a sinful man. This is what a lot of
us think when we hear anything about the ministry of Jesus. Like Peter, you may be quick
to point out deficiencies and weaknesses you think disqualify you from being used by
God. But Jesus didn’t take cognizance of Peter’s past failings. He didn’t seem to care
about what Peter had said. In that same instant, Jesus invited him to the life of ministry.
Jesus told him that from then henceforth, he would catch men.

A lot of times when God calls us, we act like Peter, trying to explain why He can’t use us.
The truth is that ministry has never been for the able. Ministry is not politics or business.
Ministry is the work of the Holy Ghost. Ministry is service and God doesn’t look primarily
for ability.

In 2 Tim 2:2, Paul told Timothy to commit to faithful men who shall be able to teach others.
This means their ability to teach was a futuristic thing. The only thing about them at that
point was that they were faithful. They were available. God doesn’t use able people. He
uses the available. His question is, who’s available? Because He’s God, He can use
anybody.

He uses the available, not the able. What matters is that you’re available when He calls.
The available may be flawed but they are God's best for the job. So, it’s okay if you think
you’re not qualified for the work God has called you to do. Nobody is qualified based on
their abilities. Your focus should be your availability and faithfulness. God is the God of all
ability so He can make you able as long as you’ve proved to be faithful.

Confession: I am available for the call of God. I don’t allow my past flaws to rob me of
God’s plan for my life. I choose to follow God and be a faithful minister of the gospel.

Day 26 26th April, 2024

GOD’S DESIRE FOR THE WORLD

Key Text: 1 Timothy 2:1-6
God’s desire for the world is clear. Even though many people confuse it for other things,
God’s plan and purpose for the world have been made clear in His Word. We will be
looking at it in the next few days.
God’s will is to have ALL men saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. This will is
absolute and clear.

What God wants is that men be saved from sin and its consequences. The knowledge of
the truth in this context can be seen as—there is one God and one mediator between
man and God. Jesus mediated between man and God by giving Himself as a ransom for
the world. The desire of God drove him to do something. It was not a passive desire but
one accomplished by an action. God’s plan is the salvation of all mankind, and He did
something about it.

The major dream of God is not to give free food or do philanthropy. Jesus, while on earth,
healed the sick, cleansed the lepers, and raised the dead. But all these were pointers to
the main thing He came on earth to do, which is to pay for the salvation of men. In Luke
10:17-20, the disciples came back from outreach and were excited to have seen blind
eyes open and demons cast out. Jesus told them their joy should be more about their
salvation. In God's scale of preference and priority, the salvation of men comes first.

This is the purpose for which God was manifested in the flesh. This is why God became a
man, and this is why He died the sinner's death. This is why He went to hell to suffer for
sins. His love drove him to do this great act. That same love has been shed abroad in our
hearts, and it should propel us to tell the world about Jesus's sacrifice and His great
provision.

Prayer: Father, open my eyes to see and acknowledge the most important purpose for
which Jesus came to the world and my part in making all men know Him.

Day 27 27th April, 2024

GOD’S DESIRE FOR THE WORLD

Key Text: 2 Corinthians 5:16-21
Yesterday, we started looking at God’s desire for the world. His will is that all men be
saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. From our text, if anyone puts their
faith in Christ, they become a new creation. The old man has passed away, and
everything has become new. Everyone who has been reconciled to God has been
given that ministry of reconciliation. God has called us and given us the responsibility
of preaching. The same news that saved you, is what will save others as well. In the
simplicity of the gospel is the power of God to save mankind.

The fact that you have heard the gospel means that you are supposed to tell it. You
don't have to know all the Word of God before you start. You will improve as you go.
You have to see yourself as part of God's plan, which is to have all men saved.

We are ambassadors of Christ on earth; we are His representatives. An ambassador

acts in the interest of his nation. In the same way, we carry the message of God to
this dying and needy world. All we say is what our Lord has sent us to say.

When we are talking to the sinner, we are bringing God's offer of eternal life to them.
We are not wasting our time preaching the gospel; we are doing our Father's
business. We are actualizing His plan. God dreams that all men will be saved. God
wants to have spiritual children, and you should be desirous of seeing another
person come into your family.

Prayer: As an ambassador of Christ, I don't live for myself and my selfish desires. I am
committed to my ministry of reconciliation

Day 28 28th April, 2024

GOD’S DESIRE FOR THE WORLD

Key Text: Luke 15:1-7
Jesus was found sitting and eating with publicans, who are present-day politicians and
sinners. The scribes and Pharisees murmured because He was associating with those
kinds of people. Then He gave a parable to explain why, Jesus emphasized that the
salvation of one sinner brings heaven joy.

God wants all men, but He is also thrilled when one soul is saved. The Father's joy is in
saving lives and in seeing men move from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of
His dear Son. God's joy is Christ in every heart. As you are saved, your response is to
save others so you can participate in heaven's joy. God wants the whole world saved.
He is not excited if anyone goes to hell. So He saves you so you can go out and reach
others.

Jesus was found eating and sitting with sinners because He was the only hope for
their salvation. In John 14:6, you see that He is the only way to the Father; no one can
get to God except through Him. Salvation is in no one other than Him. If a believer is
still confused about this truth and believes there are other ways to salvation, they
cannot give themselves wholly to God’s desire to save mankind. A believer with this
opinion will not preach the gospel, and without a preacher, no soul will be won to the
kingdom of God.

If you’re going to be part of God's dream you’ll have to change. Prayer will no longer be
only about yourself and your needs; most of your prayers will be for others. We saw
Apostle Paul pray for the different churches he planted and reached in his missionary
work. He prayed that they be filled with the knowledge of the will of God. He prayed for
revelational knowledge of who they had become in the faith. That is the Christian life,
and you can be that way.
Prayer: I will bring heaven joy by going out to the unsaved and telling them about
Jesus. In my prayers, I focus on God’s desire.

Day 29 29th April, 2024

GOD’S DESIRE FOR THE WORLD

Key Text: Luke 15:1-7, Romans 10:9-15

Even as you want to prosper in your field or career, you should also desire to actively
serve in the kingdom of God. Every day you wake up, your desire should be “One more
soul, Lord!” If there is still one unsaved person going to hell, your desire should be to
get them saved. God wants to claim every heart; this dream should be alive in your
heart. You want to stand before heaven and know that you did your best.

From the parable of the lost sheep, you see that God will go for the lost soul. He is not
satisfied that anyone is lost. As far as there is one soul unsaved, He will go after that
one and bring him to the fold. The Father's ultimate joy is to see men saved, and He
wants you, the believer, to partake in this joy.

In Luke 19:5, Jesus encountered Zaccheus and showed him the Father's love, his life
never remained the same, He turned to a new leaf, refunded those he cheated upon,
and experienced the love and salvation that God gives. There, Jesus made His mission
statement known to the world—He came to seek and save the lost. There are many
today who need this salvation, but Jesus can only get to them through you. When you
go out to meet them and share God’s love with them, they will respond like the man
Zaccheus; they will heed your words.

God desires that everyone receive the gospel. The gospel of Christ is the power of
God for salvation. The gospel has in itself the power to change a man. It is potent and
is always working. Our work is to go and present it. We are to announce it, like a town
crier. The good news is no benefit to those who have not heard. God has sent us to
herald His cure for the world's sickness.

Confession: I stay committed to the preaching and teaching of the gospel. I recognise
that I carry God's cure to the dying world and God's answer to the world. The gospel in my
mouth is humanity's answer.

Day 30 30th April, 2024

GOD’S DESIRE FOR THE WORLD

Key Text: 1 Timothy 2:3-6

We have seen from the previous days that the desire of God is for all men to be
saved. We clearly see that God's desire is not a passive one. He gave Himself a
ransom for us. He loved the world, and He did something about it. Humanity’s
common need is the sin problem. Romans 3:23 says “For all have sinned and
come short of the glory of God.” When God gave His son, it was a response to
His love. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son. Love drove
Him to give His best for you.

This has been the age-long desire of God, which He spoke of by the mouth of the
prophet in Habakkuk 2:14 “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the
glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”

The glory of God, as prophesied in the Old Testament by the prophets, is the
gospel of Christ. God dreams that the knowledge of the gospel of Christ will
cover all the earth. God’s intention is for all men to hear the Gospel and be saved.

This light won't shine on the hearts of those who have not heard this glorious
gospel. Without you—the preacher carrying the gospel to the dying world—they
won't see this light, hear about it, and become one with the author of it. Get
involved, get to work!

Confession: The world needs Jesus; He is the answer to their sorrows. I make
Him known to them. I am the preacher; I am the sent one; I will do my job.
