 Accommodating - The third conflict resolution strategy is accommodation, in which you


acquiesce to the other party’s needs. Use accommodating in instances where the
relationship matters more than your goal.
 Avoiding - Avoiding is a strategy best suited for situations in which the relationship’s
importance and goal are both low.
 Compromising - Compromising is a conflict resolution strategy in which we and the other
party willingly forfeit some of our needs to reach an agreement. It’s known as a “lose-
lose” strategy, since neither of us achieve our full goal

8. List three strategies that can be used for negotiating.

Sometimes for certain conflicts, there will be a need for the involved parties to think of a
middle path wherein both parties decide to give up something and identify a resolution.

In some situation one of the parties in the conflict may decide to retract from the
discussion and allows going with the other person’s opinion.

9. List three communication methods.

 Verbal Communication is one of the most commonly used forms of communication in


business—and it makes sense. Talking (whether that’s in face-to-face interaction; a
“face-to-face” interaction, like a video chat; or a phone call) is one of the most natural
and comfortable forms of communication for many people—and can feel more personal,
collaborative, and engaging than other methods of business communication.
 Nonverbal Communication - the majority of communication is nonverbal—and everything
from your facial expressions to our body language and the gestures we make while
speaking can actually send a stronger message than what we’re actually saying.
 Written Communication - Written communication is just as common as verbal
communication in business—particularly when you’re dealing with team members,
colleagues, customers or clients that are in a different location (which, during COVID-19,
rings true for almost every business)
