To whom it may concern,
allow me to introduce myself, I am Naval Architect and Marine Systems Engineer currently
working in Navantia, S.A., S.M.E (Spain) as production engineer, working on tasks such as
designing in Rhinoceros / SolidWorks, developing technical documentation, maintenance
procedures and solving day to day troubleshootings in the workshop.
I am writing to you because, despite having just studied a master degree in naval engineering
and loving and enjoying what I am carrying out in my current job, I would like to focus my
career even more in the design and 3D modeling field. In addition, I want to move abroad to
keep growing not only personally but also professionally.
As a naval architect, I am really keen on the design feel, in which I have been growing since I
started University, not only in different subjects of the degree and the master but also by
myself what I have really enjoyed and still do.
In my carrier, I have worked with a wide variety of CAD softwares but the ones in which I really
feel comfortable working with are Rhinoceros, Maxsurf and Solidworks. I am confident working
with these softwares and I have achieved an expertice level not only because I have worked
with them a lot during my studies but also because I usually use them at work and at home in
personal projects as well.
Despite having got some courses about hull modeling and design, I feel the need to enrolled in
this course as I want to understand all the designing procedure in yachts, sail boats and
generally in small crafts since from my studies I just have a broad understanding of the design
part which I know is not enough in order to focus my career in this matter.
Aside from my professional career, I like to spend my free time reading and learning new
languages but what I really adore is to spent time in nature, practicing my favourite sports, kite
foiling and rock climbing.
Finally, I would be delighted to share with you more information or even to attend an
interview.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Yours sincerely,
José Luis.
