Purpose: To establish a formal procedure for receiving and storing of Sleeve films.
Scope: Any incoming Sleeve film shipment.

Mandates:
• Sleeve film must be purchased from valley approved suppliers.
• In case of new supplier online trial, stacking and shipping must be conducted before start
ordering.
• Data must be available for each delivery of sleeve:
– Supplier providing COC/COA with every lot.
– Testing being performed at valley plant.

Receiving Process:

• Obtain bill of lading.


• Truck should be provided with cooler.
• Verify truck internal cleanliness, odor, and evidence of package damage.
• Verify the COC & COA.
• Verify cartons core diameter and its status.
• Check the wall thickness of the film , print color & data Vs. to the approved specifications.
• Check the part which detected for opening.
• Try one reel on the machine to ensure its machine ability. “if applicable “
• Record all results in packaging material inspection form.

COC & COA Requirements:


• COC (Certificate of Compliance)
– Stretch specification requirements.
• COA (Certificate of Analysis)
– is required for each lot which represents the following critical data for the bulk of
Sleeve being delivered:
• Film thickness “Micron”.
• Film width. ”mm”.
• Cut off
• Batch # and production date

Storing condition:
– A clean and dry area.
– Away from any contaminants.
– Operate “First in, First out” practice in the warehouse.
– Good manufacturing practices should be followed.
– Temperature 18-35 C°.
– Relative humidity below 60%.
– Stack Maximum two pallets height.
– Technical shelf life one year.
