1. INTRODUCTION TO INTERNSHIP

I have selected the topic of this report as “Data Science”. I tried to

integrate my theoretical and practical knowledge of ML , Python. I have
tried to cover all the major functions of Data Science and convey my
understanding of the different functions of Data Science through this
project.

At the end of the report, I have done a Project on the Research

Analytica in Codsoft followed by discussing critical points. I have also tried
to provide some recommendations based on my knowledge followed by the
conclusion which I gathered during my internship.

5.MOTIVATION/SCOPE OF INTERNSHIP

This report has been prepared through extensive discussion with company
employees. Information provided by the management of the company helped
in preparing the report.

At the time of preparing the report, I had a great opportunity to have an in-
depth knowledge of all the coding activities and other activities practiced by
the Suvidha Foundation. Each and every member of the department helped me
in making this report on “Data Science in Codsoft”.

6.METHODOLOGIES LEARNT IN INTERNSHIP

Following methods are used in this project:

1. Data Collection and Cleaning: Understanding how to collect data from various
sources, including databases, APIs, web scraping, etc. You would have learned
techniques to clean and preprocess the data to make it suitable for analysis.

2. Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): EDA involves visually exploring and

summarizing datasets to gain insights into their underlying patterns, distributions,
and relationships. Techniques like summary statistics, data visualization, and
correlation analysis are commonly used.

3. Statistical Analysis: Basic statistical concepts such as hypothesis testing,

regression analysis, and probability distributions are fundamental for
understanding data and making inferences from it.

4. Machine Learning: This encompasses a broad range of techniques used for

predictive modeling and pattern recognition. You might have learned about
various algorithms such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees
random forests, support vector machines, clustering algorithms, and neural
networks.

5. Feature Engineering: Feature engineering involves selecting, transforming,

and creating new features from raw data to improve model performance.
Techniques might include normalization, encoding categorical variables,
feature scaling, and dimensionality reduction.

6. Model Evaluation and Validation: Learning how to assess the performance

of machine learning models using metrics like accuracy, precision, recall,
F1-score,ROC-AUC, etc. Cross-validation techniques and hyperparameter
tuning are also essential for model selection and optimization.

7. Time Series Analysis: If your internship involved time-series data, you would
have learned techniques such as decomposition, smoothing, forecasting, and
anomaly detection specific to temporal data analysis.

8. Natural Language Processing (NLP): If your internship involved text data,

you might have learned about techniques for text preprocessing, sentiment
analysis, topic modeling, named entity recognition, and document classification.

9. Big Data Technologies: Depending on the scale of data you worked with,
you might have been exposed to big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark,
or distributed computing frameworks for processing large datasets efficiently.

10. Deployment and Productionization: Understanding how to deploy machine

learning models into production environments, including considerations for
scalability, performance, and maintenance. You might have worked
with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for deployment.

11. Version Control and Collaboration: Utilizing version control systems like
Git for managing code changes, collaborating with team members, and
Maintaining project reproducibility.

12. Communication and Presentation: Effectively communicating your findings

And insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through
reports, dashboards,and presentations.

Remember, the specific methodologies you learn during your internship

can vary depending on the organization, project, and your role within
the team. However, these are some common areas that most data science
internships cover.

9.CONCLUSION

The Internship Program gives the students an opportunity to prove their

knowledge and confidence; however, the time limits are a key problem to face
the real world challenge for the first time. The short time Internship was really
a pleasant and thrilling experience. This experience surely will be a cherished
moment at the beginning of building a career.

Research Analytics was chosen as the internship project since it provided the
opportunity of working in a professional Software Development environment
with a group of experienced IT professionals.
