Basically, Hyattsville is a little town on the outskirts of a big
metropolis, approximately 8 miles away.
In Hyattsville, there are several neighborhoods, the majority
of which are named. The 'neighborhood app,' which can be
downloaded on cellphones, enables the whole community to
connect. Each community is included on the app, and you
may use it to make notices or alerts that are specific to your
neighborhood or the wider Hyattsville region. In this region,
political borders exist. Polygon characteristics are used to
depict the borders. There are no sub-communities in the
neighborhoods since they have names.

provide a place for adults to rest as well as a play area for
children. Here, you'll only find safe, well-kept gardens. There
are many community facilities in this area, one of which is
located immediately adjacent to a college. Teenagers and
young adults are the primary users of these devices.

being carried out to widen the main road leading into the

in the number of urgent care centres. Shortly, I may use an
urgent care centre that offers a broad choice of medical
options for emergencies. Besides, there are also some food
processing industries within the community.

The main reason for the diversity in religious practices in
Hyattsville is its diversity in growth and ethnicity which

half of the population being immigrants. University of
Maryland may also have influence on the religious practices
in the area.

illness (etc.)? Young people's drug use is a problem in Hyattsville. From
my observation young people are abusing drugs currently in
this region. There is a number of treatment centres and free
rehabs around Hyattsville which indicates that drug abuse
and addiction is a major problem in the community.
The community is highly affected by infectious diseases

including those caused by viruses, bacteria, parasites, and
fungi this is evidenced by the large number of infectious
disease specialists in Hyattsville.
The elderly people are suffering from underlying medical
conditions and mental illness and among women, there is
also a high rate of severe maternal morbidity (SMM). In my
neighborhood there are few elderly group who are taken care

anxiety in the political world about the general public's
interest and collective will. Unless individual interests are
shared by the majority of the community, public interest in
politics requires putting one's own self-interests on hold for
the sake of the group as a whole. Good schools, greater
wages, and reduced taxes are all examples of personal
interests. The political class is preoccupied with how their
districts are run.

What effect has COVID19 had on your community?
COVID-19 has affected the livelihoods, health, and food systems of people in Hyattsville
community. The community is being advised to reach the Prince Georges County through 911 if
they experience symptoms of COVID-19 like cough, shortness of breath, and fever. There have
been ongoing vaccination and the vaccinated people can now walk freely with some wearing
masks. There are printed signs of COVID-19 guidelines such as mask signs in the stores and
public places. Due to economic unrest caused by the pandemic there are still vacant storefronts
despite the rental assistance to the affected group by the Emergency Rental Assistance Funds
from the Prince George’s County, although most of these vacant shops are reopening. Generally,
the effect of COVID-19 is yet to be recovered most of stores have empty shelves and number of
people visiting places in the city is increasing with time unlike before vaccination.
What effect has it had on shopping?
During the COVID-19 period and precisely before vaccination people within my
neighborhood have been shopping things online. Deliveries were being made by the online
business and most of the shops opted to advertise and sell their items online. Currently people
are able to move around without restrictions and shop from places of their wish.
