SECTION A

1. Diagram 1.1 shows the apparatus set-up to purify impure copper through electrolysis.

6. A student intends to electroplate iron spoon with silver metal.
(a) Suggest a suitable electrolyte and write the half equations at the anode and cathode

(b) Table 6.1 shows the result of experiment, set I and set II, to study the effect of metal X
and metal Y on displacement of copper.
