1. Introduction:

o Explain the importance of technology integration in modern education.

-When students are taught using the emerging or current technology, those students in
future, will be comfortable and confident in using new technologies in the future.

-Students who are taught on how to use technology appropriately, will have an advantage
since technology has high probability of enhancing students’ achievements

-Technology when used appropriately by students will help the meet learning objectives
efficiently

-It supplements the way teachers convey knowledge and the way student’s intake that
knowledge, since students in this generation are fascinated by ICT in this way, it will grab
their attention.

o Discuss the benefits of using Moodle or other tools for creating technology-enhanced
lessons.

-Students can easily access their course materials and also easily complete their
assignments there.

-Teachers can set up and create assignments there for learners, they can also create and
manage courses and they can track each learner’s progress.

-It can be motivational for students as well, and help them keep their attention to meeting
learning objectives.

2. Selecting a Subject and Topic:

o Students choose a grade, subject and topic for their technology-integrated lesson.

Grade: 10

Subject: Physical Science (Chemistry)

Topic: Atomic mass and the mole concept

o Emphasize the importance of aligning the lesson with relevant curriculum standards.

-This can ensure that teachers give learners an all-round comprehensive education and
ensure that teachers meet expectations set by the Department of basic education

-It helps teachers maintain a workload that is balanced and manageable.

3. Identifying Learning Objectives:

o Students define clear and measurable learning objectives for their lesson.

1.Remembering: The learners should remember how to write avogadro’s number with all
the zeros to get a better concept of the amount.

2.Understanding: The learner must understand how to express the relationship between
molecular mass, Avogadro’s constant and the number of moles

3.Applying: The learner should be able to calculate the mass of a compound based on
the number of moles it contains

4.Analysing: The learner should be able to analyse and identify the units, either unit of
molecular mass, units of Avogadro’s constant and units of the number of moles.

5.Evaluating: The learner should evaluate what is a mole is and what is its relationship to
Avogadro’s constant
6.Creating: A learners should be able to create a mind map linking the mole, molar mass,
Avogadro’s constant and their units.

o Emphasize the role of technology in helping achieve these objectives.

-Technology will assist in enhancing the learning experience, since students today are a
generation of technology (digital natives).

-Technology also helps create learners who engage actively with learning objectives,
since they will be repetitive in each content.

4. Technology Tools Exploration:

o Students explore various tools for technology integration, such as discussion forums,
quizzes, assignments, and multimedia embedding.

You are not required to provide an answer but explore tools you will use, see next bullet
point.

o They choose the most suitable tools based on their learning objectives.

List the tools you will use here, e.g. quiz/forums:

-Assignments: They are more convenient and do not require a lot of time.

-Quizzes : They are engaging and also do not require a lot of time.

5. Lesson Plan Creation:

o Students use Moodle's interface or other tools to create a detailed lesson plan.

Make use of Learning Management System (LMS) such as Moodle and create a lesson
from there:

o They integrate technology tools, ensuring they align with the learning objectives.

You are not required to type anything here, but make sure you’re the tools you have used
in your LMS align with your learning objectives you have set in number 3.

6. Peer Review and Feedback:

o Students work will be peer reviewed.

Once submission closes you will be required to assess 2 to 3 students work.

o They provide feedback based on the rubric, highlighting strengths and suggesting
improvements.

You will be required to provide constructive feedback to your fellow peer’s work.
