IPC Template

Before Engine Start

Brief Departure for expected runway, Set up GPS including Flight Plan

Use Checklist to start.

Taxi Call:

PF Ground, CBG, Baron 55, 2 POB, IFR to Yppf, at Southern Apron, PF9 DEP, Received information
“Delta”, Request Taxi.

RUN UP:

Set 1500 RPM, Check Feather both Engines

Set 1700 RPM, Check Mags

Set 2200 RPM, check Governor 3 times.

Idle RPM

Check Auto Pilot

After Complete, Request Clearance.

DO AN EFIS BRIEF and Take off Safety

Brief Approach as required

Before Take-off Checklist

TAKE OFF:

Full Power, T’s P’s in the Green, Airpseed Alive Rotate at 84 kts.

At 400 ft, Proactively set 25 inches 25 RPM (aware that Manifold will rise with decrease in RPM)

If Engine Failure, Control the yaw, Phase 1 checks, feather. Assess performance and continue with
the SID.

After TAKE OFF checks at 1000 ft.

Comply with ATC instructions.

Levelling off in the Baron and wanting to slow down:

Two Engines: Proactively set power to 15” 23RPM, then after established set 17” use Flap as
required.

1 Engine: Proactively set power to 17” 23 RPM, then after established set 20”
TOP OF CLIMB

CLEAROFF CHECKS

C: Compass and HSI aligned

L: Complete LOG

E: Engine T’s and P’s Green, Lean as required.

A: Altimery and Airspace checked

R: Set up necessary radios

O: Orientation

F: Check tanks, change if necessary

F: Forced Landing Possibilities

After CLEAROFF, MINI-brief and set up approach charts again:

After Chart Briefing, Complete CAAMRA Checks: (PRE APPCH Checks) * Get Latest Weather Before

C: Compass and HSI aligned

A: Altimeters both checked

A: AIDS are tunes, Tested and Identified, GNSS RAIM Check

M: Mixture Rich

R: Monitor CTAF, CENTRE active

A: Approach Brief Given

HOLD:

When cleared direct to Waypoint, most likely WP, Direct to, then OBS it. HOLD as required. (Hold at
apporx 18’ 23 with FLAP APPCH.
APPCH:

After Holding is Complete and we are cleared for the approach, don’t forget to UN OBS it. Proceed
with approach. Power setting on descent?

If engine Failure, Control the yaw, keep the descent going while going through Phase 1 checks,
maintaining blue line. Once in control and engine is feathered, set power as required to maintain
100-120 kts for the Circling approach.

ON FINAL

PUFL Checks:

P- Pitch Full fine

U: Undercarriage Down 3 greens

F: Flaps Set (below 300 ft set FULL)

L: landing clearance
