Conditions of carriage
Issued subject to National Express Conditions of
Carriage which are available to view online here.
Luggage allowance & labels
Included in the price of your ticket is a luggage
allowance of up to two medium sized suitcases
weighing no more than 20kg each. Extra luggage
includes additional or outsized items, and can be
taken subject to charges and availability, and is
limited to 3 extra items per person, For more
details, please click here.
We also highly recommend labelling all your
luggage, which you can do by downloading our
free handy labels here.
You can also add extra luggage to your ticket in My
Account for an additional cost. However, please
note that we will never carry unaccompanied
luggage (or other item of property, including
parcels) in any circumstances.
Insurance

Departure information
Please be at your departure point ready to board
your coach 10 minutes prior to your scheduled
departure time.
Refunds
Refunds are only available on our Fully Flex fare
tickets, you can check your fare type on your ticket
and your confirmation email.
Restricted and Standard fare types are not
refundable. Fully Flexible fare type is refundable.
The majority of fully flex tickets can be cancelled
and refunded within My Account.
If you hold a Standard fare ticket you can amend
the date and time on your ticket. If you hold a
Restricted fare ticket, no changes can be made to
these tickets.
Other information
Please note that your seat is only guaranteed to
and from the points specified on your ticket.
Customers aged 14 years and over are legally
required to wear seatbelts at all times on coaches
where fitted. Certain child ages require specific
arrangements such as booster seats or child seats,
but this is the responsibility of the parent with
assistance from drivers.
Most National Express coaches are white with red
and blue writing, however, we do use other coaches
to meet demand at busy times. Please look out for
National Express window stickers. Our European
services from London Victoria feature light blue
coaches with a National Express logo but if in
doubt, ask a member of staff.
