Double Tee Flooring Guide

Double tee floors consist of two prestressed concrete ribs and a connecting top slab that is typically 200-600mm deep and 2400mm wide. They are well suited for large floor spans with services suspended below. Double tees provide fire resistance up to 90 minutes and can reduce noise transmission. Proper lifting, storage, and seating in mortar are required for safe installation.

DOUBLE TEE SECTION PROPERTIES

Section properties are based on a 2400mm wide section of floor with a 65mm thick concrete topping. The modular ratio for topping is
assumed to be 0.67 for 20MPa concrete for calculating the composite section properties Al, Ybl, Il, Zbl, and Ztl.
Section properties are indicative only since the unit widths vary at the different manufacturing locations.
