DRUM AND LYRE POLICY AND GUIDELINE

1. RECRUITEMENT

A. Any male or female enrolled in HS and SHS shall be accepted provided;

1. That the parent or guardian are willing to let their children practice
4:00-5:30 M-W-F and Saturday 8:00 – 11:30 am. or even more time if
necessary.
2. That the parent/guardian is willing to pay P30.00 per practice for the
trainers’ honorary even if their children is absent, monthly dues,
contingency funds etc.
3. That the parent/guardian will sign the waiver giving the trainer
authority to implement band practice policy.
4. Three consecutive absences is the minimum and five is the maximum
without valid reason or a written excuse letter shall be resulted to
termination of membership.
5. No member shall shift any position without the consent of the trainer.
6. Academic excellence shall be observed in all regular member by
submitting a photo copy of their class grading card.
7. Members who failed to maintain their grades shall be discourage to
continue doing the corps activity for academic purposes.
8. The instruments, uniform and props shall be provided by the
parents/guardian of the member.
9. Since the tenure of the Association officers and members is annual
likewise after the school year all shall manifest to continue its
membership.

2. ENGAGEMENT

1. Likewise members who did not practice at least 70% of the attendance prior
to the time frame of the event can not join the engagement/activity.
2. The Corps has 2 kind of uniform a.) Gala b. T- shirt should be comply by the
regular member otherwise can not join the engagement/activity.
3. No member should join the engagement/activity who does not have a
companion to attend to its need during engagement/activity unless
delegated by any of guardian/parents who are willing to accept the
responsibility.
4. Snacks and transportation fee shall be handled be the parents/guardian
attending unless the association will subsidized booth.

3. TERMINATION AND RE-ACTIVATION OF MEMBERSHIP

1. Old or in-active members are welcome to continue their membership


Until the last week of September.
2. Parent/guardian shall sign a waiver if intending to stop or cease in joining
the corps otherwise monthly dues, trainers fee and other payment will
continue.
