1.1 General
JLQ20/35 emergency brake as the car speeding and accidental

movement to protect the car parts, is one of the most important

security components in elevator system! Allow only qualified

maintenance personnel for maintenance and maintenance work.

Users should regularly check to ensure that clip on wheel

work under the following conditions:

a. Protect brake piece, avoid the oil, rain and snow and ice;

b. Ensure that brake shoes do not contact with any solvent;

c. Traction wheel on both sides of the brake surface shall not

have oil, residue and other pollutants;

d. Don't allow continuous to stop, brake piece must be cooled

to below 60 ℃.

1.3.2 Performance Characteristics

JLQ20/35 emergency brake as the car speeding and accidental
movement to protect the car parts。When the system detects the
car speeding or unexpected move, give a clip on wheel switch or
relay contact disconnection，braking action and stop the traction
wheel, fast response, reliable braking stability。

1.3.3 Matters needing attention

JLQ20/35 emergency brake is a ACOP and UCMP system
to stop the parts, does not participate in the normal operation of the
elevator control speed or slow down, stop the car or to stop the car.
The method of using the power supply of the device is not allowed
to be used as its trigger mode。
System must give JLQ20/35 emergency brake continuous
power supply (AC220V) traction machine operation. Its own action
switch loop to Safety circuit。

1.3.4 Wiring
1.3.4.1 Power and trigger signal wiring

JLQ20/35 emergency brake terminal blocks as shown in the

figure below，Port 1 and 2 connect power (AC220V)，Port 3 and
4 connect Trigger signal (This signal is without
power,disconnection switch or relay) 。 lead specifications ：
0.5~1.0mm2，Lead stripped length or the length with needle type
terminal metal parts need to be more than 10 mm。
Trigger signal of the device can only be connected graphic
terminals 3 and 4, 3, and 4 end is closed from normal state, ACOP
and UCMP 3 and 4 is in off state.

When wiring, rectangular button below the port (above arrow),

you can insert line port.
1.3.4.2 Action switch wiring
JLQ20/35 emergency brake is equipped with a detection
switch with a safety contact point for detecting the movement state

of the wheel. The switch is required to be connected to the safety

circuit .The two sets of connecting terminals are normally open and
normally closed. Our factory take normally closed type (forcibly
disconnected) contact with the lead on a docking with two wiring,
Terminals can be connected to lead specifications：0.5～
2.5mm2。As shown below，NC1 and NC2 are normally closed
contacts。

JLQ20/35 emergency brake every three months should check

project are as follows：
a、Ensure the elevator stop cases, inspecting the surface
traction wheel brake (clip on wheel clamping surface, below arrow)
whether there is oil, residue and other pollutants, if any should be
timely to remove it.
b、Brake surface antirust device, belongs to the wearing parts,
need to check the wear of rust antirust device, felt to be felt more
metal to keep more than 1 mm, otherwise you need to change felt
components, avoid felt metal box and brake surface friction sound.
Replacement, with 3 mm / 5 mm Allen wrench M4 / M6 screw, and
then use 10 mm opening plate twist lock nut M6, drew felt parts
and replace, then the rest parts installed back to the original
position.

1.3.5.2 Brake lining wear check

JLQ20/35 emergency brake every three months or have
triggered after stopping should be according to the following,check
the brake shoes wear.
JLQ20：
Machine stop，the clip on wheel under the condition of
electricity, on both sides of the feeler from arrows into the end
clearance of brake shoes and brake surface location (as shown in
the figure below 1 and 2), on both sides of the addition of
clearance must not exceed 1.5 mm, if more than the need to
replace the brake lining。Replace the brake lining steps are as
follows: keep brake device electricity, with 8 mm open end will
be shown below M6 flange bolt screw, upward out of brake
components for replacement. Brake installed back to the original
position, four M6 screw on flange bolts bolt.

Machine stop，the clip on wheel under the condition of
electricity, on both sides of the feeler from arrows into the end
clearance of brake shoes and brake surface location (as shown in
the figure below 1 and 2), on both sides of the addition of clearance
must not exceed 1.5 mm, if more than the need to replace the brake
lining。Replacement brake shoe steps are as follows: keep wheel
clamp energized, 10mm hexagon wrench to below shown M12
hexagon screws under, draw out the brake shoe pressure block,
then draw out the brake shoe assembly to be replaced; traction
wheel on the other side with 8mm open spanner will be shown
below M6 flange bolts, to come up with a brake component
replacement. After the completion of the installation of replacement
brake back to its original position and screw the bolt。

1.3.5.3 Braking performance testing and

adjusting
JLQ20/35 emergency brake according to the "elevator type
test rule" and GB 7588 "elevator manufacturing and installation
safety standards", the device should carry out a routine braking
performance test once a year. If the car is not reached the car
speeding protection or car accident movement protection
requirements, according to the following method to adjust the
wheel。
a、Power on (AC220V) or device with handle (red) pull up。
b、Braking force is too small, with 10 mm Allen wrench
shown below adjust screw M12 exit a counterclockwise circle,
braking force is too large, vice versa. With 18 mm on both ends of
the open end wrench locking nut M12 (both adjusting screw to
adjust, adjust the quantity consistent)。
c、In accordance with the requirements for type testing
inspection rules related to the device braking performance test
again。

1.3.6 Reset instructions

JLQ20/35 emergency brake as the car speeding and
accidental movement to protect the car parts, is one of the most
important security components in elevator system! Manual
reset in just under the condition of the elevator and power to
rescue operations shall be conducted by qualified maintenance
personnel。
Please click the following method to reset operation for
JLQ20/35，take JLQ20 as an example(two steps)：
1、If there is power, to restore control signals, and energized
to clip on wheel device (AC220V); Without power or malfunction,
can clip on wheel device with red handle up to position as shown in
the figure below.

2、The starting motor: motor power according to the speed of

driving machine 0.15m/s to move the reverse operation, after
successful reduction to stop running; using disc wheel: the right set
of traction machine as an example, in the face of motor stand, if the
brake position away from the side of the motor, motor clockwise
brake can be reset, and Shun clockwise rotation, specific methods

Note: use the reset screw M12 * 55 for brake block reset operation,
after using, please send the screw out back to the original state.
