Valentine’s Day
2024
Every year, Aware Group has
a tradition of giving roses and
chocolates on Valentine's Day. This
activity is to tell all Aware friends
that Aware loves you and you
are important to us. This year on
Valentine's Day, we captured the
atmosphere of our team delivering
roses and chocolates to our friends
right at their desks at each worksite.

Today, we have pictures of the

Valentine's Day, there was a delicious
meal and a delighted moment. Let's see
how happy they were.

The Origin Of the Red Roses,

Where Do They Come From?

The red roses originate from the Buaktoei village, a small community
of the Hmong hill tribe located in Tambon Pong Yaeng, Mae Rim
District, Chiang Mai Province. It lies at the border between Mae Rim
and Samoeng districts and is overseen by Khun Nu Thawornwijit, the
village's agricultural leader. For this activity, Khun Nu personally drives
down to deliver the roses from the mountain gardens to the Aware
office. Consequently, we have had red roses in our Valentine's Day
event every year since the year 2010.

Buaktoei village enjoys an average temperature of about 20 degrees

Celsius, with a comfortable cool climate throughout the year. With its high
mountainous terrain, it is suitable for flower cultivation. The rose cultivation by
the villagers here has been promoted by the Royal Project Development Center,
which provides guidance on cultivation, care, and variety development, leading
to a year-round income from selling roses. This has become the main occupation
of the villagers nowadays.

Aware Group is delighted to be part of supporting farmers and will continue to

support the community's produce of Buaktoei village.
