SHIFT KEY When pressed, you can changeover from group parameters to group
alarms. Also if acknowledge key is pressed followed by shift key, you
get into setting mode. In this mode you can view & alter Date & Time
parameters. To change press shift key, parameters will be selected
then to change setting use UP or DOWN key. To skip press shift key.
DOWN KEY
a) To decrease any value during setting.
b) To see the set of parameters or group which is DOWN in order to
that which is displayed presently.
RTC SETTING With Date & Time parameters on LCD display, Press first acknowledge
key, then shift key to enter in RTC setting mode. Use UP/ DOWN key
change the setting of day, date & time. SHIFT key is used to select
day, date & time.
STORED FAULTS In alarm group, using DOWN key, we can see the stored faults in that
group. To see previous fault press DOWN key & see recent fault stored
press UP key.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Scope
The UPS shall provide high quality conditioned AC power to the equipment loads. The UPS shall automatically
provide continuity of electrical power, in case of failure of mains (AC utility source) within the defined limits. The
system consists of a solid state Converter with Battery Charger, PWM Inverter, Automatic static bypass transfer
circuit, and integral maintenance bypass circuit.
There can be various configurations of UPS systems in single phase or three phase output as per requirement
with following configuration,
1. STANDALONE UPS SYSTEM
2. HOT STANDBY UPS SYSTEM
3. PARALLEL REDUNDENT UPS SYSTEM
1. STANDALONE UPS SYSTEM:
Normal Mode Operation:
In normal mode of operation, load is connected to mains power supply through dc converter. Inverter
continuously supplies stable conditioned AC power to the critical load. The rectifier cum battery charger converts
AC Input power to regulated DC power. This DC is in turn used for inverter input as well as for the charging of
battery connected to it. With the inbuilt CVCC charger control circuit, these batteries are always maintained in
fully charged and optimum operational condition.
Battery Mode Operation:
When the AC utility input voltage drops below the specified limits or in case of power failure or in case of rectifier
malfunction, the inverter will continue to supply constant voltage to the equipment load utilizing the battery as a
power source.
Static Bypass Operation
The continuity of power to critical load can further be maintained through static bypass in case the Inverter fails /
trips. The transfer from Inverter to Bypass takes place without any interruptions if the Inverter is properly within
the synchronization band. The retransfer operation from Bypass to the Inverter is possible, only in the
synchronized condition.
Manual Bypass Operation
This feature gives the maintenance facility for UPS system by transferring the load bypass manually.
