Writing A Comparison And Contrast Essay

Writing a comparison and contrast essay can be a challenging task that requires careful thought,
organization, and analytical skills. The difficulty lies in the intricacies of juxtaposing two or more
subjects, identifying their similarities and differences, and presenting these findings in a coherent and
compelling manner.

One of the challenges is selecting appropriate subjects for comparison. It requires a keen
understanding of the topic and the ability to choose elements that are relevant and meaningful. Once
the subjects are chosen, delving into the research phase becomes crucial. Collecting sufficient
information about each subject and ensuring a balanced representation is essential to provide a
comprehensive view in the essay.

Structuring the essay poses another hurdle. Crafting a well-organized and logical flow of ideas is
vital for clarity and comprehension. This involves creating a solid thesis statement, establishing a
clear purpose for the comparison, and deciding on an effective structure—whether to organize the
essay by subject or by point.

Moreover, the writer must navigate the challenge of drawing insightful comparisons and contrasts.
This demands a nuanced understanding of the subjects and the ability to identify meaningful
connections. It's not merely about listing similarities and differences but providing a thoughtful
analysis that adds value to the reader's understanding.

The art of transitioning between points without losing coherence is yet another aspect that makes
writing such essays demanding. Smooth transitions are necessary to guide the reader through the
essay effortlessly, ensuring that the comparison remains clear and the overall argument is well-
supported.

In conclusion, writing a comparison and contrast essay is a multifaceted process that demands a
combination of research skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication. Successfully
navigating these challenges leads to a well-crafted essay that provides valuable insights. For those

Life Should Be Better And Richer And Fuller
Life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each
according to ability or achievement , that was what writer, historian, James Truslow
Adams defined the American Dream as in 1931. And it means that everyone has the
same opportunity to become success in life and that if they strive for it, and if they put
everything they got into something, they would have a better life. However, looks at the
society today, can t anyone dare to say that the motto is still relevant today?
Unfortunately, no is the only answer. As the society continue to evolve over time, the
basic core values of a human being, such as trustworthy, kindness, forgiveness, ... are
continue to be replaced by materialistic ideology, hence,... Show more content on

In short, education is the first criteria to achieve the dream. Then, if the person has
good characteristics, such as honesty, bravery, and generosity, the chances for them to
shine will appear and it will be the stepping stone to launch them to succeed. In Dick s
case, after he showed his valor by rescuing a drowning kid without any hesitation and
ignoring his own life, Dick was rewarded with some new clothes, a new job, and an
unbelievable salary offer. And what is his response to those? Ten dollars a week was to
him a fortune, and three times as much as he had expected to obtain at first. Indeed, he
would have been glad to get a place at three dollars a week. He could save up at least half
of it, then he was to be advanced if he deserved it. It was indeed a bright prospect for a
boy who, only a year before, could neither read nor write, and depended for a night s
lodging upon the chance hospitality of an alley way or old wagon (Money Changes
Everything, 126).
Meaning that if a person willing to improve themselves, and if they stay true to who they
are, they will have the chance to become successful no matter where they start at.
Moreover, kindness, bravery, honesty, and modesty are much more important than any
amount of money or material that anyone can attain. But looks at the society nowadays,
what can be seen? No matter how hard people work, they still stuck in their own bubbles

SOLUTION MHR Brewster Seaview Case Study Essay
The Brewster Seaview Landscaping Co. Part 1 During the summer of my freshman
year in college, I worked for a small private landscaping company planting shrubs,
seeding new lawns, cutting grass, and tending flower gardens. The company was
located in my hometown of Seaview, N.J., which is a rural community on the coast about
80 miles from Philadelphia. The company was owned and run by Joe Brewster, a 45 year
old man who had lived in Seaview all his life. He had started the company some years
ago and not only handled the paperwork (payroll, bills, estimates, and so on), but also
worked along with the crew six days a week. The crew consisted of five guys ranging in
age from 17 to 20 years. We all lived in towns around Seaview and had gone... Show

We were always willing to work overtime for Joe when he needed us to do so. Part II I
returned the following summer to work for Joe because of the strong satisfaction I
had with the job the summer before. So did the others. However, we were in for a
surprise. Many things had changed. Joe had increased the number of workers to 10,
bought another truck, and hired two young college graduates from Philadelphia as
crew supervisors. His plan was to concentrate on the paperwork and on lining up new
customers, leaving the direct guidance of the two work crews to the new supervisors.
Joe had hired the two supervisors during the early spring after interviewing a number
of applicants. Both were young (23 and 24), from the city, and had degrees in
agricultural management from Penn State, but had not known each other previously.
We old timers were assigned to one crew and five new workers were hired for the other
crew. Because the job market was tighter this year, we were hired at the same base pay
as the five new workers, but we were told that we would still be able to make bonus
money based on referrals but the new people didn t have this option. These new workers
had little experience in landscaping. Except for the working hours, which were the same
as during the previous summer, the two supervisors were told that they could run their
crew in any manner they wished as
