christmas in
Argentina. It is made

THE HISTORY FOR CHRISTMAS

Although the Armenian


Apostolic Church
celebrates it on January
6, together with the
Epiphany (in most
churches that date is
celebrated on the day of
Kings.) Except the
Churches of Alexandria,
Romania, Bulgaria,
Albania, Finland, Greece
and Cyprus They do
celebrate Christmas on
December 25.
TRADITIONS
This celebration means for the
Argentines the birth of Jesus,
so it is common that in the
previous days they go to the
Church or participate in the
well-known Misa del Gallo,
which is celebrated on
Christmas Eve. Although the
dances are not too typical in
the rest of Argentina, in the
north they are. Here the
dance of ribbons or braids is
celebrated. Children dance
and spin around a stick. Each

THE DECORATION
The houses are
decorated with lights
and Christmas trees
with balls, the red,
white and green colors
so typical of these
dates predominate and
fireworks are not
missing at midnight. A
red Christmas sock is
usually placed at the
entrance to the houses.
TYPICAL FOOD
A traditional dish is
roast. It is made with
grilled beef,
