Bancay First Elementary School's Catch Up Fridays

Introduction:
Bancay First Elementary School started to implement the "Catch Up Fridays" , a
comprehensive educational initiative aimed at promoting all-around development for
students. The activity focuses on improving reading skills, instilling values,
deepening understanding of health concepts, and incorporating peace education.

Improvement in Reading Skills

The "Catch Up Fridays" program has seen significant progress in enhancing


students' reading skills. Through engaging activities such as reading words, phrases,
sentences, paragraphs, and stories, students have shown marked improvement in
their reading comprehension and speed.

Values Education

The values education component of the program has been successful in instilling
important values among students. Teachers have observed noticeable changes in
the students' behavior, demonstrating increased respect, responsibility, and integrity
- clear indicators of the program's effectiveness.

Health Education

The health education aspect of "Catch Up Fridays" has fostered a deeper


understanding of health concepts among students. Students have become more
aware of their well-being and the importance of a healthy lifestyle, as evidenced by
their active participation in health-related discussions and activities.
