Dear Sir/Madam,

Greetings from Mwana Group Pvt Ltd. My name is Dr. Kuda Mutenda, and I am writing to you
in my capacity as the Festival Director of Mwana Group International Rugby Schools
Festival. This festival is the oldest and biggest Rugby Festival in Africa, running since 1986.
Previously it was called the Dairiboard Schools Rugby Festival, before that, it was called the
COTTCO Schools rugby festival.

In 2024, the Rugby Festival will be held at Prince Edward School (The traditional venue since
1986), on 28 April till 4 May 2024. This festival will be happening with the blessings of the
Zimbabwe Rugby Union, with support from World Rugby. Zimbabwe Rugby Union is affiliated to
the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) which reports to the Government of Zimbabwe,
through the Ministry of Sports, Arts and Recreation.

The 2024 Festival will have participation from over 100 teams which include Primary Schools,
Developmental Schools, Top Rugby Schools in Zimbabwe, International Touring teams and also
the Girl Child’s Participation. On average, over 100,000 People come to watch and celebrate
the culture of rugby at this festival, every year. While over 1,000,000 people will watch through
various free online streaming portals.

This International festival has established itself for the following reasons since 1986:
1. The bedrock for Rugby Development in Zimbabwe
2. The most attended festival in Zimbabwe, over 100,000 people over 7 days
3. The biggest gathering of youth and school children in a healthy family environment
4. The most impactful campaign against substance abuse
5. The most interracial gathering of the people of Zimbabwe

I am inviting your school teams to come and be a part of this prestigious rugby event in Africa.
We invite your;
-Senior Teams (U19, those born on or after 1 January 2005)
-Junior teams (U16, those born on or after 1 January 2008)
-Colt Teams (U13, those born on or after 1 January 2011)

These age groups will be for both boys and girls. Please feel free to send as many teams as
you can. Due to the large pool of teams (100+ teams), we will able to match all your sides
(strength for strength) to get a competitive, safe and pleasant healthy rugby experience. All
teams will play three games each over the 7day Rugby Festival.

2. There is limited Accommodation available at Prince Edward School Hostels, available on
first come first serve basis.
