supplication of ours becomes an avenue for us to realize our own giftedness, blessedness and the
holiness that we aspire for us to continue our journey as a church. As we commenced our
activity, may this activity produce an immense fruit of grace and satisfaction as we encounter
you once again. Allow us also to reach and feel your Holy presence, for us to feel your love,

OPENING PRAYER: (c/o Jose)
O God, whose spirit fills the world and holds all things together, we come as children of
the earth yet created for incorruption, as born from our mother’s wombs yet made in the image of
eternity. And so, we gather here today looking for peace that is deeper under your stillness. We
seek the spirit that never dies, and which day by day renews the life of the earth. We seek the gift
of wisdom; O God, which no darkness or power of confusion can overcome, and pray that in
seeking wisdom we may find it, and in finding it find friendship, communion and stillness in
you.

Gospel Acclamation. (c/o Barry)
The Gospel According to Matthew
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told
them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus
came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Closing Prayer
Guide us, O God! Lover of us all! That we may journey the unknown. Whether it is a
blessing or danger, save us from a deep forgetfulness that does not remember your guidance in
the past and of many before us. Like those who passed through the waves of the sea and through
wasteland and wilderness, guide us too the places of promise and grant us eyes to see the flame
of life that we are to follow. May the glimmerings of the imperishable light that glisten within
and around us strengthen our hope in the long-awaited day when goodness of creation and your
angels of light will overcome evil like a mighty tempest winnowing away all wrong. Then, O
God, the life that is rooted in you will stand secure. AMEN
