Dear Cricket Enthusiasts of Chandgad Taluka,

Subject: Invitation to Participate in Underarm Turf Cricket Tournament Organized


by Western Cricket Club

We are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to all passionate cricket aficionados from
Chandgad Taluka, residing in Mumbai, to be a part of the upcoming Turf Cricket
Tournament hosted by the Western Cricket Club. This event promises an exhilarating
display of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Event Details

Date: Saturday, 27th January

Time: 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Venue: Mira Road (Tentative)

Please note that participation in this tournament is exclusively reserved for players of
Chandgad origin residing in Mumbai. This initiative aims to unite individuals from
Chandgad under the umbrella of cricket, fostering a sense of community and
camaraderie.

Team Composition: Each team will consist of 10 players, all of whom must belong to
Chandgad Taluka and be residents of Mumbai.

Match Format: Matches will be 5 overs per side.


Tournament Structure if participation received for 4 Teams: The initial stage will be a
round-robin format where each team will play against every other team once. The top
two teams from this stage will qualify for the finale.

Tournament Structure if participation received for 8 Teams: The initial stage will be a
knockout round format where 4 teams in each group will play against every other
team once. The top two teams from every group will contend in the semifinal stage.
Winners from the semifinal will qualify for the finale.

Tournament Rules:
Bowling Restrictions: The opening pair will not be allowed to bowl. One over per
bowler. Additionally, only 2 bowlers from each team can be repeated in the following
match. In each subsequent match, at least 3 new bowlers must be introduced.

Fair Play: The tournament places a strong emphasis on fair play and sportsmanship.
Any form of unsportsmanlike conduct, including verbal abuse or aggressive behavior,
will not be tolerated.

Umpire Decisions: The decisions made by the umpires will be deemed final and
binding. Participants are expected to respect and abide by these decisions without
dispute.

Registration Deadline: The deadline for team registrations is [Insert Registration


Deadline]. Please ensure your team completes the registration process before 10th
Jan 2024 to secure participation.

Code of Conduct: By participating in the tournament, teams and players agree to


abide by the tournament's code of conduct and rules, promoting a respectful and
enjoyable environment for all.
