Rules & Regulations
Accelerated Pairing system will be followed for first two rounds.
The event will be FIDE TITLE NORM category tournament with players above 1800 ELO
Rating.
Organizers reserves the right to add players below 1800 rating under special circumstances.
The event will be played in 10 rounds.
The time control is 90 minutes with addition of 30 second per move starting from move one.
All electronic items including mobiles and wrist watches (all type of watches) are not allowed in the
tournament hall.
FIDE Fair Play Regulations will be in force and players are obliged to respect the rules.
Hotel & Accommodation
All invited GM/IM/WGM/WIM will be provided free boarding & lodging on double/triple sharing
basis.
For all other players, accommodation on chargeable basis will be available at the venue, The Emerald
Heights International. The dormitory (8/12 beds) facility will be provided with boarding (Bed Tea,
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) with a nominal charge of Rs. 6000/- for a period of March 31 (2 pm) to
April 8 (7 pm); contact Mr. Deepak Soni (9617324610).

AICF Registration 2023-2024 for Indian Players
Indian players should be compulsorily registered with AICF. Players not yet registered can do so by
remitting a sum of Rs. 250/- online on https://prs.aicf.in Entries from unregistered players will not be
entertained.
Default Time (Walkover Time)
The default time will be 30 minutes.
The Drawn Game
The players shall not agree for a draw without consent of arbiter before each player makes 20 moves.
Tie-Break
The following tie break rules will be applicable for all the FIDE Rated Swiss Events under AICF.

iii. Sonneborn-Berger
iv. Direct encounter
v. The greater number of wins including forfeits vi. Number of wins with Blackpieces
Appeals Committee
A 5-member Appeals Committee (inclusive of 2-reserves) shall be formed from players. The decision of
the said committee shall be final and binding on all the participants.
Protest
Protest if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter, shall be made in writing with a protest fee of Rs.
1000/- (Rs. One Thousand Only) within 30 minutes of the occurrence of the incident. The amount would
be refunded if the appeal is upheld.
Interpretation
For further interpretations of the rule(s) and deciding any aspect not covered by the said tournament
prospectus, the decision of the Tournament Director shall be final and binding on all the participants.
The Tournament Director has every right to make any addition/deletion/amendment to these rules.
However, such changes shall be displayed on the noticeboard.
Players are not allowed to carry bags, mobile phones, wrist watches and other electronic devices to the
playing arena. Arrangements have been made for players to deposit their bags, mobile phones, etc.
Force Majeure
The Organizing committee are bearing no responsibility in case of a force Majeure Which might
cancel or postpone the event.

Notes
The prizes shall not be shared and a player would be eligible for one higher prize only.
If applicable, as per Income Tax regulations of India, tax shall be deducted at source (TDS) from
the prize money above Rs. 30,000/- [TDS rates - for foreign players: 20.80% & for Indian
players: 10%].
All Indian players are required to submit a copy of the PAN card and AADHAR card.
For players who fail to submit a PAN card, TDS would be deducted @ 20.80% irrespective of
the prize money won.
All payments to Indian players would be made by cheque /RTGS and will be issued in the name
of the concerned prize winner only.
Payment of prize money awarded to foreign players would be made by SWIFT to their bank
accounts.
Prize winners from foreign countries would be required to submit a copy of their passport &
VISA.

COVID Protocol
1. All players are required to mandatorily adhere the Covid Protocol issued by Government of
India /Government of Madhya Pradesh at the time of tournament.
2. Any symptomatic players will be removed from the tournament as pre-caution.All players are
obliged to obey this rule and no protest can be made against this decision of Organizing
Committee.
3. Players are obliged to undergo random RTPCR/Antigen Test conducted by theorganizing
committee.
4. Preference in entry will be given to fully vaccinated players.
5. All Officials and Arbiters will be fully vaccinated.
6. Parents and accompanying persons are not allowed inside tournament hall at all times.
7. Organisers will take all the measures for safe tournament environment. However, in case any
untoward situation arises, theplayers will not ask damages from Organizers.
8. By enrolling for the events, the players are abide by all the terms and conditionsof the
Tournament for participants.
