PRIVACY STATEMENT

Infosys Foundation, its associates and affiliates (collectively referred to as “us”) are committed to process your
personal data as per the laws of your jurisdiction. We hereby notify you the following information about your and
your child’s (collectively referred to as “You, Your, Yours”) personal data processing.

If you are registered to this Infosys Foundation’s Scholarship platform through your respective
university/organization/ educational institution then your initial registration data may be shared with us by such
organization/ educational institutions for which they will be the data controller along with Infosys Foundation and
they would also be accountable and liable for ensuring compliance to the DP laws of your jurisdiction such as
taking Your consent before sharing your data with us, etc.

Your respective university/organization/ educational institution will have access to certain personal data on this
platform, and as the institution managing your fees and course structure, they also define the means and purposes
of processing of your personal data and hence, would be considered the data controller for such purposes along
with Infosys Foundation. As such, they will also be accountable and liable for ensuring compliance to the DP laws
of your jurisdiction while collecting and processing your personal data through Infosys Scholarship Platform.

Personal Data elements collected/processed:

▪ Personal Information such as Name, DOB, Domicile, Gender, Recent passport-size photograph,
Government- Issued Identity Proof (such as Aadhaar card/ voter ID card/driving license/PAN card etc,),
Introductory video submitted by you.
▪ Family member/Guardian details such as (relationship, first name last name), Marital status, declaration
on being first generation undergrad (if applicable)
▪ Contact Information - Email, Contact Number, Communication address (including Pin Code), Address
Proof, Present residence address, Emergency address, Past addresses (and duration of residence),
Emergency Contact Number, personal mail ID.
▪ Education details- School details, year of Passing (for 10 th and 12th) and related documents such as
marksheets and passing certificates along with the JEE / CET /NEET score card, Rank obtained in
NEET/ JEE / CET or other equivalent Competitive Exams, College/University Details including
Degree, Marksheets/CGPA details for each semester, and Tuition fee structure, Current year admission
proof (such as fee receipt/admission letter/institution identity card/ bonafide certificate), Education
certificates (where applicable).
▪ Financial details such as Electricity bills (if applicable), Family income proof certificate issued by
appropriate Govt. offices / BPL or similar card / Ayushman Bharat card Family income and related
certificates, Bank account details of the applicant (bank passbook/cancelled cheque etc)
▪ Your facial image, FaceDescriptor (128-d embeddings for the face), Video Anomaly Images, keystrokes
anomalies (browser-related
▪ Your audio video call recording
▪ Additional information such as disability certificates, category certificates, etc., where applicable.

Purpose of Processing
Infosys Foundation may hereinafter be required to collect, receive, possess, store, deal or handle Your Personal
Data for the following Purposes:

• To enable your Child/ Ward to apply and register for scholarship program initiative from Infosys
Foundation.
• To identify and shortlist eligible candidates (12th passed girls students) for scholarship program.
• To enable your identify Child/ Ward’s verification using the facial verification techniques
• For conducting eligibility checks and relevant verifications of your Child/Ward’s Scholarship
Application via Audio calls
• For internal management of the program and sharing updates between authorized users.
• For inviting your Child/Ward to webinars organized by Infosys Foundation
• For creating a community platform to disseminate your Child/Ward’s knowledge/opinions, interact
with their peers etc.

• For complying with any Legal obligations on us, including any applicable laws and protecting our legal
rights, seeking remedies, and defending against claims.

Data Recipients

You hereby understand that the following recipients shall be collecting and retaining Your Personal Data:

• Internal departments within Infosys Foundation: Authorized members of functions such as Infosys
Foundation team, development/STG team, etc.
• POCs from various educational institutions, as applicable.
• Authorized service providers of Infosys Foundation for this Scholarship program
• Auditors (Internal/External) and Authorities.

Data transfer and Storage: If necessary for the above stated purpose, the Personal Data listed above may be
transferred to our offices, our partner institutions/colleges, our authorized service providers, and such data will be
stored on our authorized cloud service providers’ servers.

Security Measures
Infosys Foundation adopts reasonable and appropriate security practices and procedures including administrative,
physical security, and technical controls in order to safeguard your Personal Data.

Retention Period
Personal Data will not be retained for a period more than necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy
Statement, unless a longer retention period is required by law or for directly related legitimate business purposes.

In case of any queries/concerns related to your data processing or for exercising your data privacy rights as per

Parental Consent:
I confirm that I, the undersigned, am the parent or legal guardian of ________________.
I confirm that any data provided by or on behalf of my child/ward on this Scholarship platform is accurate and I
warrant that I possess all the rights in the capacity of a parent or legal guardian necessary to provide such a Privacy
Consent on behalf on my child/ward.
In pursuance of the foregoing, by signing below, I hereby acknowledge and understand that the Personal Data of
my child or ward and me may be processed in the above-mentioned manner and hereby consent to such processing
of Personal Data. Additionally, I acknowledge that any personal data/documents of other individuals are shared
by me only after seeking consent from the person to whom the personal data/documents belong.
If I do not consent to such processing, Infosys Foundation will not be able to onboard my child/ward with their
scholarship program.
