Rx: Vitals need moderation, order, calming influences, and purification. They need to learn trust, re-
lease, and finding purpose in their lives. For life lessons, Vitals need to learn to live with change, work with joy,
and bring soothing music and color into their life. Emotions should be released via utterly frank, candid, deeply
personal, let-it-all-hang-out discussions with loving members of the same sex whom they trust—and who will
hold them accountable and require them to be hold to agreements.
Vitals should be in the company of people who uplift their being and their energy (“Good Company”).
They are well to build self-esteem and to keep a positive attitude. Best of all is for them to do real Spiritual study
to build trust and faith. Among the disciplines appropriate for Vital Personality types, or those for whom the Vital
Personality dominates as an egoic strategy:
Giving a presentation requires the Vital to use the mind and to feel those with whom he or she is talking.
Being accountable for the diet gets the Vital Personality right where they live—in the sphere of vital or gross
indulgence! The adolescent aspect of the Vital wants to get into the goodies when no one’s looking, to hide out
(like an adolescent) and indulge him/herself with food, sex, or anything else that’s physically fun to do—even to
the point of pain and sickness.
Vitals need to adapt to release into the spheres, becoming less grounded, and not so locked into the earth.
Like all other Iris-2 Personalities, Vitals need The BIG 7 + right use of the LQF’s, emphasizing (in their case)
all-raw vegetarian diet, daily Spiritual study, deep breathing, real meditation (on the Very Divine—see Appendix),
Vitamins B-Plex and C (as crystal), magnesium, liquid colloidal minerals, GranMed Calming Formula, St. John’s
Wort, Valerian, relaxation therapy, massage, mental and emotional rest, outdoor activities, R-M Exercise, avoid-
ing loud noises and eating late at night, Dry Brush Massage (Skin Brush), Chamomile tea before bed, and walks
in Nature.

The Combination Structures & Personalities
Introduction
Flowers, Jewels, and Stream-like fibers are, more often than not, combined in an iris. These will pro-
duce a number of Structural combinations that correspond to the various human Personalities, all of which are
combinations or permutations of the basic three, the Vitals, Peculiars, and Solids. These combos include such as
(1) Jewels with Flowers, and (2) lesser numbers of structural qualities, such as fewer Flowers on Stream bases,
fewer Jewels on Stream bases, and so on. Certain compensatory and other iris characteristics (see “Areas”) may
modify the interpretation for a given individual. However, the descriptions noted will generally hold true as the
original or genetic sign.
Note: On reading the following chart, take into account that personalities can and do change in varying
degrees. Therefore, someone born with a mildly Flower Structure can, with the addition of a few Jewels, turn into
a raging Radical-Solid-type Personality. Also, everyone’s Personality contains all three basic strategies or types.
Most, by far, emphasize one or the other of the three types. We estimate that only about 1.3% of the world’s
population is actually balanced in the three types.
Since no one on Earth represents a pure example of the Solid, Peculiar or Vital Personality type, every-
one, therefore, demonstrates some combination of all three while emphasizing one of these. So, one type will
always be dominant—at any given time. This means that it can change—and usually does. However, approxi-
mately 77% of people maintain the same basic dominant personality strategy thru-out their lifetime. Therefore,
the dominating aspect (S, P, or V) tends to remain the same for most people, with some fluctuation in all three
strategies from time to time.
There are several factors involved in this process, including genetics, environment (especially the influ-
ence of those around us), karma, and so on. Someone may show early signs of one or the other of these types as
early as 3 months old. As an adult, a person can change jobs from one that emphasizes manual work to one that is
more mental-oriented, and then from there to one that involves him or her in sensitive emotional relations. Such
changes can have an effect on personality varying from mild to profound.
The optimum circumstance, as Denny Johnson rightly points out, is a balance of the three, actually being
able to use the three attitudes appropriately and completely consciously. Regular and serious Spiritual practice—
which necessarily involves Divine-Communion, or Communion with the Spiritual Master—undermines the un-
conscious aspects of Personality and brings the whole process of egoity into our awareness, where it can be at first
understood and then transcended.
The true Shaker Structure is another name for the Structural combination of Flower-Jewel or Jewel-
Flower. But neither of these two Structural names takes into account the relative Vital quality that is inherent in all
personalities. That is to say, one can be born with an extreme Flower Structure and yet develop into a raging Vital
Personality—whereas, trying to find any “Streamness” in his/her Structure could be futile. You want to look for
the relative closeness of the fibers. Granted, those fibers that are relatively straight could be few and far between.
But, they will be there. The entire eye cannot be made up of Flowers.
There is really little point in making much of the combination Structures in terms of Personality types
they represent because there are so many possibilities that changes are taking place in Personality or that they
have already been made. The differences between the descriptions of the basic three Personality types and the
41
IRIS-2, Personality Iridology Copyright 2010 by Grand Medicine
combination types as seen in the Iris-2 markings is necessarily general due to the wide variety of influence possi-
bilities—which are only in some measure described by the inherited or genetic Structural signs. Therefore, how
much more description is needed on the combo types? The combos are only various mixes of the basic three.
No eye that we’ve ever seen demonstrates absolute purity of Structure—although some have come close.
Likewise, we’ve never witnessed a perfect example of a Personality strategy, one that is devoid of any vestige of
the other two. Neither have we seen Structures that show a perfect balance of markings. However, we have seen
a very few personalities that not only have achieved a rather stable balance (rare enough), but (even rarer still)
some who have been able to transcend their Structural suggestion and their developed personalities. This last is
a demonstration of their real Spiritual practice.
The Iris-2 Structural and other eye signs are thus necessarily secondary to the behavioral aspects because
the Structural information (especially) tends to fascinate and console the ego, whereas understanding the bases
of behavior can lead to preparation for self-transcendence. This having been said, let’s look at some general ten-
dency descriptions of the basic combination personalities.

The Shaker Structure / The Radical Personality
Sign: This Structural iris sign is shown by a combination of
Flowers and Jewels, the number of each of which should be approximately
equal (see chart). With one or two more Flowers than Jewels (but not
vice versa), we can still call the sign a Shaker. Look for a minimum of
four Jewels and a minimum of five Flowers. An exception to this could be
(e.g.) five or so Flowers and one rather large Jewel. Similarly, 2-3 large
Flowers can be combined with the requisite Jewels to form a Shaker pat-
tern.

The strength of the radical influence is determined by (1) the degree of the particular dominant Structure, and (2)
by the individual’s environments. The genetic (structural) factor only provides radical potential. The question of
whether the individual actually develops into the radical behavioral personality all depends on his/her environ-
mental influences and how they impact his/her sensorium. It is postulated (by Grand Medicine researchers) that
the biggest factor in such movement to the radical is the Oedipal influence(s).
IMPORTANT: In determining whether the individual has actually developed the radical personality, it is
important to note the other somewhat less likely possibility: they may have successfully combined the qualities of
the Solid, Peculiar and Vital in adapting to societal norms. In that case, they will appear variously “normal”—and
therefore “radical” (in their behavior) only to one or another relatively minor degree. Therefore, the practitioner
must carefully assess the individual by asking specific questions and observing behavior characteristics in order
to see which way—normal or radical—the adaptation has gone. Their response to questions regarding their at-
titude toward self and world will usually tell the tale. Below is a description of the more radical adaptation. In
any case, there will always be at least some signs of radicalization in the behavior or attitude of persons with this
structure.
Radicals tend to learn subconsciously thru bodily experience, while being in motion, and via feeling-
intuition. For example, when talking on the telephone, they tend to want to physically walk about, apparently
getting better ideas, promoting their concepts, or otherwise facilitating communication thru this bodily motion.
Conscious communication is via alternating or unified visual and verbal signals, and by gesture. In mate relation-
ships, the Radical’s best partner tends to be the Vital. Travel is highlighted as an activity. The Radical energy
pattern tends to be one of motion, the direction of which is up and out. Their natural positive expression involves
drive and motivation.
Pathology Tendencies: When stress imbalanced, the tendency of the Radical is to become autocratic.
When finding their cause, Radicals typically demonstrate plenty of enthusiasm. They tend to intensely dislike
being controlled and manipulated. If their natural expression toward drive and motivation is even mildly sup-
pressed, frustrated, or otherwise blocked, they will let you know in no uncertain terms! They tend to be impatient,
especially when they see that change is sorely needed and no one else seems to be moving in that direction. In
fact, they tend to find it almost inconceivable that anyone could not see what they observe to be an obvious crying
need for change.
Radicals tend to be somewhat negatively Sattvic. They also tend to be stuck or otherwise alternate be-
tween extroversion and introversion, between hot and cold energy. They are sometimes wildly enthusiastic and at
other times show low energy toward life (in this sense, more like depression). The expression in element terms is
toward air and fire. The orientation is toward the mental-intentional and reactivity, and also the conscious, exclu-
sively waking mind, both of these like the Solid. Their life-stage orientation tends to be more in the range of the
vital-physical. The rest of the ego strategies for the Radical are a mix of the 3 basic tendencies. The body areas
that tend to be vulnerable include the kidneys and Urogenital system, the Endocrine and Generative systems, and
the lungs.
Rx: Meditation is most important (see Appendix). Like the Vital, the Radical needs moderation, order,
44
IRIS-2, Personality Iridology Copyright 2010 by Grand Medicine
consistency, calming, stability, and purification. Life will continue to bring opportunities for lessons in these
areas to be learned for the Radical—until they are learned. When Radicals learn to plan, join in cooperation with
others, and connect in relationship (with people, etc.), they experience positive change and growth, and develop
a sense of purpose. The adaptation that can serve the Radical most is the quiet calm and relative inactivity of
meditation. They need genuine Spiritual study and heart-deep submission to the Divine. They need the discipline
of The BIG 7 + right use of the LQF’s, emphasizing the Green Smoothies, RMVJ, colloidal minerals, selenium,
Vitamins A, B-Plex, C, & E400, and Chiropractic (or better: daily Hatha Yoga).

The Stream-Jewel Structure /
The Vital-Solid Personality
Sign: On a Stream field, we see a few Jewels, perhaps as many as
five, if they are small. (More than that and of sufficient size on a Stream
field or base, we have a Jewel Structure.)
Rx: The BIG 7 + right use of the LQF’s, emphasizing Careful chewing of all foods, yearly full GI
Cleanse (with GranMed GI Cleanse caps, fasting/liquid dieting and enemas/colonic irrigation), fresh raw garlic
(in RMVJ), Slant Board, Vitamins B-Plex and C, Spiritual chanting and song, deep breathing, and early bed-
time.
47

The Stream-Flower Structure /
The Vital-Peculiar Personality
Sign: On an essentially Stream base or field, look for several
Flowers and no more than one small Jewel, if any. There may be as many
as seven Flowers if the base is weakly Stream, more if strongly Stream.
As with all Structure determinations, it is a judgment call. (Perhaps more
important is that the original Structure is the current Personality, which can
be quite different from the Vital-Peculiar tendency they were born with.)
Physical Pathology Tendencies: The weak areas in a Vital-Peculiar tend to be the back, spine, vertebrae,
neck, kidneys, and (in women) the ovaries. The Nervous and Endocrine systems seem generally more vulner-
able.
Rx: The BIG 7 + right use of the LQF’s, emphasizing Astragalus, GranMed Calming Formula, Vitamin
C and B-Plex, colloidal minerals, and always pray over your food.

The Shaker Stream-Jewel Structure /
The Radical Vital-Solid Personality
Sign: Between the two irises, a total of at least six Jewels and a
minimum of four Flowers: always more Jewels than Flowers, varied in
size, but at least one or two of the Flowers must be of some size, not all
tiny (like the one shown here at 3:00 in the L iris). In this particular case,
one parent had heart disease and diabetes, which tendencies he inherited.
Also note that there is a preponderance of Stream in these irises, which
dominant quality gives a strong emphasis to the Vital aspect of personality.
Therefore, we can rightly think of him as essentially a Radical Vital-Solid,
to which personality characteristics he readily confesses to. He will be
more of a Vital than a Solid, but the Radical qualities will in some ways
overshadow both of these.
50
IRIS-2, Personality Iridology Copyright 2010 by Grand Medicine
In mate relationships, they tend to work best with Vital-Peculiar types. In activities and disposition, they
tend to go for individual sports (like gymnastics), and the conceptual. Their energy pattern tends to build and
direct. They tend to sleep mainly on their left side, with their partner on their right. Their positive expression
is tenaciously sticking with the goal and leading the way. Radical Solids tend to have a strong, firm handshake.
They tend to be misunderstood by society—until & unless, via real Spiritual practice, they learn to conduct them-
selves rightly.
Physical Pathology Tendencies: Emotionally, the lessons to learn (where they tend to be weak) include
social empathy, simplicity, and regular submission to an intelligent and growing same-sex group. They are in-
tensely passionate about personal freedom and seem naturally reclusive. Stressed, they tend to be sarcastic and
intolerant. Physically, the systems most affected appear to be the Nutritive, Generative, and Eliminative.
Rx: Learning compassion, Radical Vital-Solids can be persuaded to genuine Spiritual study and prac-
tice—which must always comes first with them. Thus, thru attention and submission to the Spiritual Divine, they
will be less misunderstood by society and will grow for real. The BIG 7 + right use of the LQF’s, emphasizing
prayer thru the meal and careful chewing of all food, a full GI Cleanse with fasting each year, employing the
GranMed GI Cleanse Formula &/or liquid dieting, Vitamins B-Plex and C, daily Spiritual study, Meditation, and
various forms of relaxation therapy—especially music.
This particular case (named Ralph, shown as the two blue eyes), in Iris-1 terms, shows a skin/exocrine
affection as seen by the darkness in Z7, especially lateral and lower. He is prone to certain skin rashes and sweat
gland sluggishness that manifests as slowness to perspire. His Structure/Personality type is actually a Shaker-
Stream-Jewel/Radical Vital-Solid, which began as a Stream-Flower at birth. The first appearance of the Jewels
was approximate at age 17. Mother issues dominate (see large Flower with attached Jewel, L3:00Z3). Several
other Jewels followed as he changed jobs from one with an orientation to social toward one that emphasized the
mental—with lots of details.

The Shaker-Flower Structure /
The Radical-Peculiar Personality
Sign: On a varied base, look for more Flowers (a minimum total
of six) than Jewels (a minimum total of three).
Pathology Tendencies: On the physical level, Radical-Peculiar types tend to have problems with their
knees, heart and circulatory system (high BP is fairly common), kidneys, endocrine organs, and nutritive sys-
tem.
Rx: The BIG 7 + right use of the LQF’s, eating slowly and chewing well, daily exercise and sticking with
a schedule, checking with your same-sex group before going off in some bizarre direction with your life; Astrag-
alus, fresh raw garlic in your RMVJ, red raspberry leaf, cayenne, Hawthorne berry, colloidal minerals, Vitamins
B-Plex, C, and E, Rejuvelac, and real meditation on the Divine.
Important note: It is to be strictly understood in this illustration that we are using one iris for our ex-
ample of each Structure only for illustration purposes. When actually looking to determine Structure, giving a
label to Structure, or otherwise differentiating Structure by observing live irises or even images, we must see
both irises. And a note of reminder about these two different qualities: the physical inheritance, which is mostly
genetic and doesn’t change much, and the Personality characteristics, which are certainly more plastic and can
possibly change quite a bit.
53
IRIS-2, Personality Iridology Copyright 2010 by Grand Medicine
Since the Stream Structure and the Flower Structure are genetically fixed and do not change thru-out life,
one can only inherit these Structures. Jewels can appear as early as 3½ years of age. Re: Jewels, there may or
may not be genetic factors involved. Apparently, Jewels result or develop from past life karmic and/or present-life
cultural/environmental factors, which latter especially include diet and mental/emotional stimulus. Therefore,
Jewelness/Solidity is essentially what develops, either as simple Solidity per se or as the Solid aspect of the Radi-
cal Personality.
• You cannot become a Stream; you can only be born with this Structure via genetics/karma
• You cannot become a Flower; you can only be born with this Structure via genetics / karma
• You cannot be born a Jewel; you can only develop it as a result of karma and/or culture /
environment
Therefore, if you were to merely look into a person’s irises to learn the Structure, then try to describe his
actual inherited and developed Personality (Vital, Peculiar, or Solid), you might be way off. For example, take
a person born with a Stream-type Structure. The Oedipal starts making changes in the Personality. The family
moves to a different country and culture. All the behavior in one’s relationships takes on an attitude shift. Al-
though one’s Personality can in some ways remain true to the Structure suggested by their inheritance, there can
possibly be relatively minor modifications (in the Structure). Alternatively, there could be moderate alterations
in the person’s circumstances and Personality can shift dramatically. Our Stream Structure can wind up being a
raving Peculiar!
54
IRIS-2, Personality Iridology Copyright 2010 by Grand Medicine
The person pictured here “should be” a Vital (Stream Structure) Personality—but, he’s actually a Pe-
culiar. A Vital (suggested by the Stream Structure) is what he is by inheritance—and he does have certain Vital
characteristics in his behavior. But, his Personality has changed significantly. One cannot change their basic
genetic inheritance, the body. Mike came into this life with a Vital tendency based on his Stream body—for
whatever karmic or other reasons. The change that took place involved his Oedipal, and is further demonstrated
by his Rings. The Rings here are the sign of a gesture toward Peculiarity, the egoic strategy stuck between the left
and right-sided tendencies, or L and R sides of the brain. How does this happen?
All three basic Personality types are always able to be viewed in our behavior under this or that circum-
stance. The Oedipal is usually the biggest factor for change. As noted, the O sets the Personality stage for the rest
of our lives—unless and until certain stronger factors come into play.
Life experiences, for example, can be quite strong forces for change: childhood depression, delinquency,
and behavioral inhibition, major residence/culture change, job change/loss, marriage/divorce, the death of loved
ones, brain injury, powerful hunger / starvation, extreme weather exposure stress, military service, and even thru
vicarious means: the imagination, or sympathetic participation in the experiences of others. There are signs that
show a person has inherited certain tendencies, and signs that show he or she has developed those tendencies.
What are the chances people will move beyond a given percent of their Iris-2 Structural pattern? What is
the rate of change? There are so many factors to take into account, it’s extremely hard to say. At best, we can only
guess. We do know that a large percentage of people experience a very small personality change, a very small
percentage of people actually undergo a bit more of a personality change, and of that last number the change is
rather small. In Iris-2 terms, the average time in a person’s life at which they tend to make the biggest Personality
change may be age 60.
Personality changes notwithstanding, something else is possible for human beings—something wonder-
ful! It is possible to transcend Personality altogether in and thru most profound and loving attention and devotion
to Reality. This means fundamentally moving beyond the often irritating limitations and social challenges inher-
ent in Personality. But, the percentage of people who actually transcend their Personality (and psycho-physical
life altogether) has been infinitesimally small! This is because self-transcendence involves real Spiritual practice:
there are extremely few people currently doing such effective practice—or even interested in it. But, that can
change.
The patterns of Iris-2 Categories demonstrate the various signs of and modifications to the behavioral
personality. These include the effects of Jewels and Flowers, Streamness, Emotional Polarity, Brain Dominance,
the Iris-2 Rings, and the Iris-2 Areas. While the Oedipal both creates and modifies personality (as seen in the
Structures via the DP), certain other qualities contribute to the modification of ones behavior. These include the
Oedipal Relationships, The BIG 7 Disciplines, and Life Experiences.
We know that by age 2½ or so, most of the Oedipal-based personality is already formed. Add to this the
notion that there are certain ages in human life at which personality is most vulnerable to change. At age 4, e.g.,
perhaps 94% of all Stream Structures begin to demonstrate Vital characteristics, as much as 98% of all Flower
Structures begin to show Peculiar signs, and by age 17 an estimated 96% of all Jewel Structures begin to reveal
Solid uniqueness. In our 1st few years, all of these Structures and “future” Personality types are basically little
55
IRIS-2, Personality Iridology Copyright 2010 by Grand Medicine
“Vital” characters in the First Stage of Life. This is very preliminary, but our observations suggest that Jewel pat-
terns tend to maintain their Solidity longer or at a higher percentage rate than the other types.
Also, although Structural patterns tend to stay with their appropriate Personality type, when they do
switch, both Stream and Flower patterns tend toward the Solid, while Jewel patterns tend toward the Vital. Why?
We don’t know. And we don’t know if the same is true of different time eras. Is it a survival technique? Could it
involve the powerful current of world cultural influences that emphasize the importance and value of “practical”
left-brain intelligence, ideas and concepts that can be brought into the material-based work-a-day marketplace to
obtain the goods of life?
Once the individual is born and growing, changes in the irises are generally in the area of color (pig-
ments) and shading (increased Darkness, films), and less in fibers. The changes for Iris-2 Structure, then, essen-
tially involve Jewels, which, as we’ve stated, can increase in number with age. After the birth of the individual,
the personality changes are therefore essentially all about environment, not genetics.
First-Level Combinations
1 – Stream-Flower / Vital-Peculiar
2 – Stream-Jewel / Vital-Solid
3 – Shaker-Flower (or Flower-Jewel) / Radical Peculiar-Solid
4 – Shaker-Jewel (or Jewel-Flower) / Radical Solid-Peculiar
The Flower-Shaker is the same as the Shaker-Flower (a Radical Peculiar), and the Jewel-Shaker is the
same as the Shaker-Jewel (a Radical Solid). The Stream-Shaker and Shaker-Stream configurations seem by
definition contradictory: “Stream” implies no appreciable Jewels or Flowers, while “Shaker” implies both Flow-
ers and Jewels, and in significant amounts of each. However, what we are really considering is the percentage
of Streamness. Therefore, the designations for each personality is determined essentially by the relative number
of (or amount of) each and any of the three basic structural signs—and modified by the potency factor of these:
Jewel = 48%, Flower = 38%, Stream = 22%. The percentage of marker availability makes the biggest difference,
allowing Stream to be successfully combined with Shaker—and hence Radical with Vital.
The more sensitized, clear and aware we are to our Personality pattern, the more intelligence can be freed
up from the confusion, bondage and uninspected entanglement of egoity. There is no need to struggle with early
life events. Just notice the pattern of happenings now, in the present. In the case of genuine Practice Consider-
ation Groups, the focus is how and in what ways attention is or is not going to the Divine.
In contrast to true self-observation, there is self-watching. This is simply the occasional or even constant
turning of the attention to the so-called “self”, “me”, the problem. This is egoity. It is Narcissus admiring his
own reflection in the pond. This is the constant concern for what “I” am doing, being, and how “I” am behaving.
All this does is add volumes of data about the “self”, the separate one, Narcissus. It’s like what happens typically
in the psychiatrist’s office: You lie down on the couch (or sit there) and relate to what is being asked, which over
time produces a huge dossier of information about your “self”. Little, if anything, is gained in terms of real self-
understanding. Here (below) are some questions that can be helpful in locating your Personality pattern.
• How do I tend to feel about things? (Am I generally positive or negative; radical, conservative or middle-of-
the road; angry, fearful or sorrowful; hopeful; hopeless; frightened of terrorists; worried and anxious;
anticipating difficulties in life; etc.?)
• How do I tend to be characterized by others? (Do they see me as popular; a radical; a milquetoast;
manly/womanly; strong and forceful; a weakling; of little value, just a face in the crowd; good looking;
sexy; plain-looking; ugly; a social or political climber; irrelevant; a geek or nerd; an intellectual; a
jock; a tomboy; a loner; etc.?)
• How am I being characterized relative to anything I’ve done? (A failure, a success, unproven, up-and-com-
ing, a nobody, a hero/heroine, lackluster, etc.)
• How do others tend to characterize my decisions? (Rash, painfully slow, emotional, thoughtful, way
out there, conservative, rational, spontaneous, scary, radical, intelligent, deluded, etc.)
• What does the way I consider things say about me? (Do I come from a place of fear; hoping for acceptance;
spitefully; relaxed and careful inspection; basically hopeful attitude; basically hopeless; in full faith
of a positive outcome; more or less doubtful; with excessive caution and hesitancy; with reckless
abandon; without much forethought; with tedious inspection; basically, without much thought and
simply accepting authority; etc.?)
• What does what I believe in say about me? (If I believe in a “just Divine” who will protect good people and
punish bad ones”, what does this say about me—especially in the face of factual events in the world?
What does this suggest about me? How about fairies and devils? Have I ever seen these things?
What does that say? Do I believe everything scientists say? If so, how does this describe my
Personality?)
57
IRIS-2, Personality Iridology Copyright 2010 by Grand Medicine
• What do I tend to be satisfied with to any degree at all? (With my living circumstance? Those around me?
My hobbies? My marriage? My relationship with my children? My work/career/job? My love/sex
life? Am I always working on these to improve them? Am I continually frustrated with them? Am I
feeling stuck with some of them? Do I feel like I’m regressing, going backwards with some of these?
What is my typical way of dealing with these items? Do I tend to be complacent, lazy, aggressive,
blaming, excitable, or taciturn about all or some of this? What does this say about my personality?)
• How does my religious association tend to show my predilection, tendency, or fixation on life events? (Have
I simply accepted the religion of my parents without inspecting it at all to see if it’s worthy of my time
and energy? If so, do I also tend to go along with other “official” dogma of the state and country in
which I live? Do I tend to believe that everyone who isn’t in my religion will go to hell when they die?
Do I tend to believe whatever my priest/rabbi/minister says? What does any of this say about my
personality pattern?)
• What does my “picking and choosing” participation in religion or sex play or other areas of life—stronger
in some respects and weaker in others, random applications and self-guruing—say about me? (Most
of us tend to pick and choose what we will do (self-guru) when it comes to our participation in groups
and associations of almost any kind. We tend to either [1] adolescently resist authority, or [2]
childishly accept authority, or [3] vacillate between these two attitudes. What does this say about us,
about our Personality?)
• What tended to bring me satisfaction in the past and is still bringing me satisfaction now? (What really gets
me off, rings my bell, makes my tail wag, stimulates pleasure in me that started when I was very young
and has continued until now? Is it simply eating my favorite foods, having sex the way I like it,
watching sports—and seeing my team win!, believing that the future will bring happiness, like my
pension or savings will allow me to have a safe and comfortable retirement; being with relatives, like
parents/siblings/children/grandchildren; etc.)
