Chapter 1 - Try This First on Everything!
I used to turn to the spiritual realm for solutions only after I had
exhausted all the physical options available to me. In a last-ditch attempt to
make things work, I would apply whatever spiritual technique I knew back
then to the situation. Perhaps it was my full faith in the process out of my
desperation, but that usually worked.

One day, I realized how I had been doing it backward all this time. What
if the first thing we try, in every situation regardless of the specifics, is to
tap into our innate manifestation abilities? What if, before doing anything
else, we tap on these powerful Universal forces to help us? That was the
day my life changed. Life became easy and effortless for me. I no longer
called upon God last. Instead, I called upon the Universe first before taking
any physical action. I no longer make a distinction between the physical or
non-physical. I try this first on everything.

Most readers read my books wanting to learn how to manifest a narrow

set of things in their lives. These could be things they have tried to manifest
for the longest time without success. Very often, my books and teachings
represent their last-ditch attempt to achieve what they want. While these
teachings are highly effective (judging from the results of students
worldwide), they have the potential to take your life to a whole new level if
you apply them to every area of your life.

I used to be hesitant when applying these techniques to my work. I was

quite good at my day job and thought I could manage on my own. Guess
what? It wasn’t until circumstances forced me to apply these techniques that
I experienced a flourishing of my career. By applying my own insights
along with Universal assistance, my work began to take a whole new
direction on its own. Everything flowed while I remained a part of the
action. My work flourished and flowed through me.

It can be the same for you as well. Give up any distinction between areas
of your life where this material could apply and other areas where you do
not see the need to use them. Try this first on everything! I promise that
your life will flourish on a whole new level once you adopt this new
mindset. These teachings work on everything.
Chapter 2 - How Can I Demonstrate the Infinite
Nature of Life?
The question I like to ask myself nowadays is, “How can I demonstrate
the infinite nature of life?” This question takes the pressure off things as it
does not presume or presuppose a particular end result. I am not asking for
life to be a certain way, neither am I looking to change things. Instead, the
question keeps my eyes and heart open to ways I can demonstrate these
teachings in all areas of my life.

I use the word demonstrate because we are all masters in this material.
There should be nothing to learn and no new knowledge to acquire. Instead,
we already have a direct connection to what I call the Universal Internet.
This is the source of direct intelligence that guides us and provides us with
ongoing impulses. Being an effective creator means being in-tune with
these Universal impulses and what they are trying to tell us in each
moment. When we allow ourselves to indulge in fear or worrisome thoughts
or become overrun by emotions, our connection to the Universal Internet is
greatly diminished (or cut off completely). Depression results from a
disconnection from the Universal source and leads to lethargy. When that
Universal connection is restored, the innate creative life force is restored as
well. This is the nature of our being.

This book will contain step-by-step lessons that allow you to

demonstrate the infinite nature of life. Life is infinite because your
manifestations are ongoing and endless. There is no limit to what you can
ask for. In fact, what you ask for is also due to Universal impulses, so in
essence, there is no difference between the asking and the receiving. What
you receive is also from this Universal wellspring of life. I often teach that
the Universe responds instantly to your energetic intentions. In the
beginning, this teaching has to be repeated and reinforced because many of
us are so outwardly oriented that we do not recognize the inner energetic
impulses that constantly guide us. Put more specifically, we do not
recognize the instantaneous nature of these impulses. As you become more
familiar with these teachings, you will realize that the Universe responds to
your energetic directions with zero delays.

Physical manifestation (and therefore your life) is a series of energetic

directions. Those who are not aware of their own power scatter and diffuse
their own energy. They direct their energy in different directions,
squandering it on thoughts of worry, fear, or other negative emotions. Those
who are aware of these teachings become highly focused on directing their
own energy. We learn how to become masters of our own lives by directing
our energies to the areas that matter the most, hence making our
manifestations automatic.

There is no need to make long lists of things you want that will improve
your life. Of course, it is alright to make a list of things you want if you
enjoy the process. However, anytime something feels like a chore, you
should drop it immediately. I no longer feel the need to have a list of goals
in my life. Even though I have stopped the practice for years, my life has
continued to flourish and thrive in all areas. Why is that possible? It’s
because I am constantly looking to demonstrate the infinite nature of life. I
demonstrate it not to anyone in particular but only seek to be a full
expression of life. In turn, this intention is reflected in my works and
teachings. When you allow these Universal forces to carry you along, you
will often be surprised at where you can end up!
Chapter 3 - Automating the Manifestations
Process
What does it mean to automate the manifestations process?

Simply put, it means having life fulfill all of your deepest intentions and
desires without even asking for them. It means creating physical
manifestations without even embarking on a deliberate process. Whatever
you want is instantly delivered to you, with very little time lag, and you step
into the fullness of what you have asked for.

Is it possible to live this way? Absolutely. All of my books and teachings

(including this one) have been aimed at simplifying the manifestations
process. In the early days, I often discussed the importance of making lists
and following certain steps. As the consciousness of all my readers has
increased (along with my own realization), I have simplified and shortened
the process along the way. The simplification is, in itself, a form of
manifestation and demonstration of the Universe’s creative nature. Every
work takes these teachings further beyond where they have been previously.
Every book pushes the boundaries of what is possible. As more readers
apply these teachings and demonstrate them in their own lives, it benefits
all students of this material.

Why would you want to automate the manifestations process? First, it

simplifies your life and allows you to directly enjoy your manifestations
instead of fretting over the process of creation. You no longer need to focus
on the steps it takes for you to get there. It also frees your consciousness up
to do a lot more creation. You can be more deliberate in how you use your
energy and the available time in your life. But doing so requires a shift in
how you currently operate. If you are someone who is very used to
following a set of procedures or steps, then things could seem abstract for
you at the beginning. My advice is to keep at it. You will soon see a
structure emerge from what appears to be an abstraction. The order will
become apparent to you once you start applying this material faithfully in
your own life.
Chapter 4 - Knowing Your Intentions Without
Stating Them
The first step to automating your manifestations is to know your
intentions. When I use the word “know,” I do not mean listing or specifying
all of your intentions. You already intuitively know what you need to
improve your life and make it more comfortable. You already know all the
physical and non-physical conditions needed to thrive. However, this
knowing may not always be stated or formulated in words.

If I asked you to formulate this knowing in words, one of your intentions

(for example, in the area of finances) could appear as: I would like to make
$10,000 a month. This stated intention is an outward expression of that
inner knowing. In turn, you could have many other intentions which are
unstated verbally and yet still very active in your energetic vibrations.

The art of automatic manifestations is not to state these intentions

verbally (in words) but instead to simply know them energetically. This may
seem a bit impossible in the beginning. How do I know what I am asking
for if I do not spell it out? But this is where the beauty of this method comes
in. When you keep your intentions active at an energetic level without
actively specifying them, you put in place a few conditions needed for
miraculous manifestations.

The first condition is that the thinking, logical mind is kept completely
out of the way. Because you do not actively state the intention in words or
images, the mind is not invited to help you “figure out” how to get there.
This ends any self-sabotage from the mind. The second advantage is that
your feelings and emotions do not get mixed up with your intentions.

The biggest advantage is that by keeping your intentions open-ended,

you make it easy for the Universe to fulfill them in your life. You become
completely open to anything and everything that happens, including how
this particular manifestation will occur in your life. When you become
completely open to demonstrating the infinite nature of life (remember the
question from earlier?), then life will surprise and delight you. This is the
responsive nature of the Universe. This is why I encourage you to keep
your broader intentions unstated and just know that they exist. The specifics
will be filled in by the Universe.

It is alright to sometimes think about your intentions. For example, you

could have an intention to make $10,000 a month, and this thought could
enter into your awareness. However, after pondering about it, you should
always let it go… back to where it came from, which is nothingness. You
do not want to hold the stated intention for extended periods in your mind.
Rather, the key is to dismiss it from your mind whenever it is not needed.

Again, this goes against the conventional teaching that we need to be

focused on our goals one hundred percent of the time. However, what I am
talking about here is the manifestations process. It has nothing to do with
conventional goal-setting. When you set a goal, you are expected to do all
the work to make it happen. Goal-setting is a process where the emphasis is
on the individual (the doer) rather than on the Universal whole. In fact,
goal-setting is a very narrow part of the manifestations process! If I were to
place a number on it, what is covered in traditional goal-setting is less than
one percent of these teachings. Little wonder it is so limited in terms of its
effectiveness! We want to move beyond goal-setting to achieving infinite
manifestations in our life. While goal-setting only allows you to work on a
handful of goals at a time, the process of automatic manifestations allows
you (and the Universe) to work on infinite intentions at a time. Your life
will be one manifestation after another in an infinite sequence!

It is time to elevate our consciousness such that we do not rely on the

tools that have been used for the longest time. Tools such as affirmations,
visualizations, meditations, setting of goals have all been not very well
understood by even the teachers who advocated them! Why is that the case?
Most people do not understand the true nature of manifestations. Physical
manifestations have to be strongly supported by underlying energetic
conditions that will create the desired changes. When we use any of those
outdated tools without creating energetic changes on the inside, we
experience limited results. When we attempt to use these tools while
allowing our minds to run wild and sabotage the process, the end result is
often nothing, even after lots of wasted effort. Let us be effective and
precise with our manifestations and what we like to create!
Chapter 5 - The Only Time to Think
Spend as little time as possible thinking about your intentions. At first
blush, this sounds counterintuitive. Conventional wisdom tells us that we
need to think about our intentions all the time, preferably every single
waking moment, so we have the drive to achieve them. But as explained
earlier, the art and science of true manifestations is not conventional goal-
setting. When you free up your consciousness instead of thinking about
your intentions and desires all the time, you create a space for the Universe
to work its magic. Put more precisely, manifestations happen the fastest
when they occur from the perspective of NOT-MIND.

The only time you want to “think” about your intentions is to clearly and
precisely define them. I have already covered this step in my previous
books. This is the only step of the process when it helps to get your mind
involved—in terms of crafting and defining what you want. Once you have
stated your intention as clearly and simply as possible (without emotions,
associated thoughts, or feelings), then it is time to let the intention go from
your mind and awareness completely. This does not mean you suddenly
lose your memory and forget what you have asked for. On the contrary, you
can still recall the specifics of your intentions when needed. But there is no
need to bring those to mind at all. Once you have specified your desires
clearly, all you need to know is that there is something there. Keep your
intentions and desires as unstated as possible, and the faster they will
manifest in your physical life experience.

Right now, I am not actively thinking about all the intentions in my life. I
am not even aware of how many intentions I have. But I know that there is
something there. I know that if I want to, I can be as specific as possible in
clearly stating each of my intentions. I can turn to each aspect of my life
and list out the various intentions I have for my career, relationships, or
finances. However, I do not do so. I am open to demonstrating the infinite
nature of life in each aspect of my life. That is all I need to know and the
open state that I operate from. Only when operating from this completely
open state do I create a clear space for the Universe to work its miracles.

Contrast this with a mental attitude where the mind is constantly used to
monitor each intention. When your mind interferes with the manifestation
process, very little can change because your mind is maintaining a tight grip
on current reality and hence perpetuating the current circumstances! Your
mind places expectations and limitations on the future. In fact, each thought
by the mind, even thoughts of freedom and creation, are limited thoughts
delineated by mental boundaries. By not invoking the mind in the creation
process, you recognize your truly unlimited creative nature.
Chapter 6 - The Stateless State of Manifestations

At other times of the day, you should be immersed in what I call the
“stateless state” of manifestations. This is also what I call NOT-MIND. The
stateless state is one in which your conscious awareness is not on any of
your intentions or desires in particular. You just know that they are there in
the background. Instead, you place your light and sustained focus on the
current task in the foreground, but not too heavily. For example, my current
task is writing these words. I have a brief intention for this chapter that sits
gently in the background of my awareness. I recognize and know that it is
there. My gentle awareness is placed on this page and the words that I am
writing. As I write, I do not exert any effort or strain. I let the words flow
out of me naturally onto the pages.

Later, I will prepare my lunch. I let my hands and feet take me wherever
I need to be in the kitchen. My hands prepare the dishes and heat up the
food effortlessly. There is no thought, struggle, or strain to any of that
activity. When I finish my lunch, I will settle down and reply to my work
emails. If there is an issue at work that needs my attention, I apply my
directed mental energies to resolve them, but I do not dwell on the issues
for longer than necessary. I work on one issue at a time, resolve it as
necessary, and then move it out of my awareness immediately. Throughout
all of that physical activity, I feel that something is aware and moving my
body. I am one with the life force (Universal intelligence) that operates
through this physical body.

This does not mean that I am detached from life. On the contrary, I am
one with life in every moment. When there is action to be taken, I take it
strongly. When there is an issue to be resolved, I resolve it in the present
moment. When I receive an impulse to act or do something, that impulse is
acted upon clearly and without question.

This was not how I always operated. A few decades ago, I would have
been gripped with fear and worry all day. I would go about my day
constantly worrying, with a sick feeling in my stomach that something
would go wrong. I would constantly be jumpy, on the alert, in case
something “bad” happened to me. Where do all these thoughts come from?
They are nothing more than ruminations of the conditioned mind. If you
pay more attention to them and act on them, your mind begins to control
you over time. It begins to tell you what to do, and many end up completely
controlled by their minds.

Experience the silence when you live and work from NOT-MIND. This
silence is completely alive. It is the sound of pure awareness and of pure
Universal intelligence. Contrary to the belief that there is nothing there, this
silence is actually pulsing with Universal energy. This is your direct
connection to the Universal wellspring. You are already experiencing some
of it as you read these words. When reading, you suspend the active
thinking mind and what emerges in between these words is that pure
Universal intelligence. But you do not have to be reading to be aware of this
pure, unconditioned awareness. It is always here. As you make a conscious
intention to operate from NOT-MIND, allow yourself to live in and from
this stateless state. Different teachers may call it by different names—pure
formless awareness, the power of quiet, the zero-point field. Each of these
names points to the essential nature of this stateless state. Quiet, zero, or
empty are words pointing to the perceived absence of something.
On a certain level, this is true. This is a “state” marked by the perceived
absence of anything. None of your worrisome thoughts, fears, observations,
forms, or matters are here. There is “nothing” here. On another level, this
state is entirely alive and brimming with Universal consciousness. So out of
this nothingness and emptiness is the fullness of life. The fullness, of which,
is expressed as the infinite nature of life as you move through your day.

So now we have come full circle. I said to live your daily life from the
stateless state where there is apparently nothing. But living from this state
means living beyond one hundred percent when everything is so abundant
and rich to the point of overflowing! Your mind cannot even begin to
conceptualize the fullness and abundance that flows from this stage! Your
mind cannot even contain or comprehend the riches that flow from this
abundant source. There is really infinite energy here.

In the beginning, give up all your thoughts about the specifics of what
you are asking for. You may want an abundant life, but stop holding in mind
the specifics of what you want every moment. Doing so only tires you out! I
know because I stubbornly held on to my intentions and goals for several
decades! Was I any closer to achieving them? At times, I made tangible
progress but holding those intentions constantly only made it more apparent
that they were not yet fulfilled in my life. So bring them up as little as
possible or not at all. Use NOT-MIND to dissolve the fears and negative
worries that nothing will happen if you do not constantly monitor them.
There is no need for constant monitoring. The Universe is holding
everything together, and you are an expression of the Universe. It would not
be the least bit inaccurate to say that you are the Universe, so live like it
now!
Chapter 7 - Manifesting More Energy and Better
Sleep
How long do you want to delay your happiness? The only thing standing
between you and your desired abundant, completely fulfilled life is the
unwillingness to give up your current way of living. Your current way of
living stems from your old ways of thinking. I often have people fight me
tooth and nail when I tell them to give up their thinking minds completely
—yet they spend their energies convincing me that the mind is useful! Why
argue for your limitations? In fact, do not even argue for anything at all.
Just become fully aware and recognize what needs to be removed from your
life. You will notice that everything non-essential melts away and what is
left will sustain you through life.

You can transform your life at any time, even right now. You do not have
to wait until you finish reading this book. This is what I have broken this
book into short, sharp, and directed chapters. Each chapter is an invitation
for you to explore a theme of infinite living and manifestations. Each
question either contains a question that opens you up or an invitation to
jump into the direct experience of living. Other chapters show you
something from your old way of living that you can do without. Resolve to
live as NOT-MIND starting right now. If you get out of it and snap back
into your thinking mind at times, or find yourself carried away by old
worries, use NOT-MIND to dissolve those worries immediately. You will
find the intensity and effect of those negative thoughts to be greatly reduced
each time you apply the process. In time to come, you will recall the
thought without any of the related interferences in your inner state. That is
when you will physically realize this really works!
Things are always working for you, whether you come to a conscious
realization or otherwise. Our conscious awareness often lags behind what is
happening energetically. It takes some time before we see the negative
physical manifestations we have created through our subtle mental energies
a while back. Most people never make the connection. As a student of this
material, I encourage you to recognize this connection right now. Realize
that how you direct your energies in this moment creates tangible changes
in the formless field of Universal intelligence. Every energetic inflection
you make creates a corresponding effect that may not be instantly perceived
in the physical world, but the effect is there. When you step into NOT-
MIND and the stateless state, you no longer allow the mind to run you and
diffuse all of your energies. You no longer allow your thoughts to run wild,
sending all kinds of thought energy and feeding them into future unwanted
manifestations. Instead, you become very pointed, directed, and strong with
how these energies are directed. The best way is to be as efficient as
possible in terms of directing the energies. Use them as they are needed for
the issue at hand. Use them as they are needed when there is something
ahead of you. For the rest of the time, be completely open to the stateless
state and where it takes you.

In the beginning, you may feel sleepy when you try to operate in this
manner. This is completely normal because there is no “tangible” mental
content for the mind to focus on. The mind perceives this nothingness as
nothing to work on, which is similar to the state of falling asleep. It is
alright to drift off into sleep as you explore this process. Over time, you will
stop interpreting it as a signal to sleep, and a new sense of aliveness comes
over you. As you settle more into NOT-MIND, you will begin to feel
infinitely alive, and episodes of tiredness or a lack of energy become things
of the past. When you directly connect to NOT-MIND, which is really
Universal Intelligence and the source of all things, you directly connect to
the life force that flows through all things. It becomes impossible to feel
physically exhausted in this state. In fact, the very connection energizes and
refreshes you.

When it comes time for you to fall asleep at night, you will do so easily.
You will not fall asleep from mental exhaustion but as part of the natural
rhythm of life. Your physical body will still get the rest it requires, but sleep
no longer becomes a big issue in your life. You will then have the conscious
choice of sleeping as much or as little as possible. Living from NOT-MIND
not only speeds up your manifestations, but it also brings about tangible
benefits to the quality of your waking and sleeping hours.
Chapter 8 - Moving from Linear to Non-Linear
Time
By now, you know that the concept of time is an artificial construct
imposed by the mind. In the realm of the mindless and thoughtless, there is
no such thing as time. Everything exists as infinity or as a single “point,”
depending on how you conceptualize it. Either way, thinking of time as
infinite or as a single point (in other words, the now moment) is not very
helpful when living our daily lives. For certain activities, linear concepts
like time or making ordered lists and schedules could still help manage our
lives.

Linear concepts become less helpful and more of a hindrance when we

talk about the subject of manifestations. That’s because manifestations take
place outside of time, and as I commonly teach, beyond the realm of the
mind. The process of physical manifestations and these energetic
transmutations is beyond the grasp of our minds. We can only know that
something is there, but we feel hard-pressed to explain it physically in
words. The way to bridge the gap between linear time and the concept of
having no time at all is to consider living life non-linearly.

What does it mean to live in a non-linear fashion? First, it means

recognizing that time is an artificial construct. Second, instead of giving up
your concept of linear time completely, you use the concept of non-linear
time to bridge this gap between our conventional understanding of time and
where we want to be. Non-linear time means understanding that everything
happens in the present moment. The linear timeline we use is very much
like a filing cabinet. We use a filing cabinet because it helps us organize our
documents in the most interpretable way possible. Still, the papers
themselves can be arranged in literally any way.

Similarly, time provides a structure that holds all the individual threads
of our life together. When viewed this way, time becomes the thread that
holds the fabric of life together, but it is not life itself. You are always free
to interpret time (and the myriad of events in your life) in other ways.

I have found it helpful to keep my linear timekeeping activities to a

minimum, just what is needed to maintain some structure in my life. For
example, I still use a daily planner that lists all the work activities I have to
do and some of my ongoing projects. I enjoy making lists and assigning
activities to my days. However, beyond this basic structure that I have put
in place, I leave much of my day open for spontaneity and the Universe to
create with me. Instead of filling up my schedule with endless tasks, I keep
my days open-ended. There are three major and most important things that I
know I need to get done for the day. Beyond that, my day is free to creating
magic and miracles.

How do I open myself up to live non-linearly? The answer may surprise

you. The first is to ensure that certain linear activities (like the three most
important tasks of the day) always get done. These are most often related to
work or your current business projects. These tasks (done linearly) keeps
one part of me grounded. But at a higher level, it gives me permission (and
space) to explore for the rest of the day. Some spiritual readers make the
mistake of having totally unstructured days filled with meditation or
relaxation. This often achieves the opposite effect. One becomes spaced out
or even floaty after spending hours in that relaxed state, which is
counterproductive to our manifestation potential. When manifesting, the
most effective way is to be properly grounded to the physical activity so
that you can be a part of any Universal action that occurs. The three major
things a day that you check off your task list will help you achieve that.

Beyond my three major activities for the day, I do not write or plan for
other manifestations. Over time, you will develop a good sense of intuition
for what can be broken down into smaller pieces and what should be left
relatively unspoken. For example, suppose I intuitively feel that certain
steps should be taken to move a project forward. In that case, I ask myself if
those steps are small enough for me (or for someone else) to act on. If they
are, I immediately make it a point to get them done. If the steps are not
clear enough, then I do not take physical action. Instead, the “action” that I
take in this case is to ask for greater clarity and insight. Direct NOT-MIND
to connect directly to the project to receive direct clarity and insight. This is
moving into the realm of non-linear time, so do not expect to receive an
immediate answer in linear response to what you have just asked for. You
might, but you also may not. Just simply making the connection using
NOT-MIND is sufficient.

The act/intent of making a connection between whatever you want to

achieve and NOT-MIND is the most important step. Readers are often
amazed (from the countless testimonials and personal stories I have
received over the years) at how the mere act of connecting their intentions
to NOT-MIND makes things happen automatically when they least expect
it. They walk into the office, and someone is there. They walk into a store,
and someone is there. These serendipitous encounters cannot be planned in
any linear fashion as they are beyond our mental coordination. They have to
be made in a non-linear fashion, with everything happening at once. But
because we are so used to controlling and linearly using our time, we may
not give up enough control, at least in the beginning, to allow for these
happenings to occur.

When you connect your intentions directly to NOT-MIND, it can seem

like nothing is happening. It will be accurate to say that nothing is
happening in linear time. But everything is happening in non-linear time or
even beyond time. Your directed intentions and thoughts represent powerful
energies that create directed effects, so do not squander them needlessly.
Make sure that you direct and connect NOT-MIND with the important
things for your life instead of connecting them with frivolous fears and
worries.

One common topic related to time is procrastination. In my experience,

the most common reason for procrastination is lack of clarity. You know
you need to do something, but it is unclear what exactly you need to do.
The lack of clarity makes it difficult to direct your energies towards that
task. The most effective solution I have found is to directly connect NOT-
MIND with the task. Very often, this dissolves the task into smaller
energetic steps that you can start doing immediately. You can also connect
NOT-MIND to the completion of the task. This instantly takes linear time
out of the equation and brings your energy directly to its successful
completion.

The second most common reason for procrastination is a sense of dread

that doing the task will not be enjoyable. I have found that this sense of
dread about the task itself, rather than the nature of the task, keeps us
trapped. The more we feel we will not enjoy doing something, the longer
we will put it off. On a practical level, I would see if there is a way I can
delegate this task and get someone else to take care of it. For example, I do
not enjoy making certain administrative phone calls and have delegated all
of these to my assistants. So the solution to an issue can often be having
someone else take care of the issue. At other times, I have directly
connected NOT-MIND to completing these tasks and experienced a surge
of physical energy that allowed me to complete them efficiently. This works
so well for me now that procrastination has become a thing of the past for
me. Whenever I am faced with something not done, I connect it to NOT-
MIND and get it done. I realize, after the fact, that doing it is like nothing
my mind has imagined. This is another reason to eschew our use of the
mind and turn to the infinite connection that NOT-MIND provides!
Chapter 9 - Moving from Physical to Non-
Physical
A common mistake made by many spiritual seekers is to live exclusively
in the spiritual realm. I made this mistake myself for many years. I spent
most of my day meditating, engaged in spiritual practices, or mentally
rejecting certain activities I deemed as non-spiritual. Did this lifestyle make
me any happier or bring me closer to my desired state? It did not. I can also
say that it did not bring about the desired answers for many others as well.

The reason behind this is a lack of balance. Placing too much emphasis
on the realm of the spiritual / non-physical makes us spaced out and causes
our lives to be unstructured. The more spaced out we become, the harder it
is for us to direct our energies and hold clear intentions in our awareness.
Therefore, this chapter is one to bring you back into balance. Look at your
own life. How are you spending most of your day? Do you find yourself
spaced out and engaging in spiritual pursuits for most of the day? Most
importantly, does this way of living feel the same or better than before?

Of course, suppose an individual has been living a life filled with say,
heavy drinking or unhealthy physical activities previously. In that case, this
phase of spiritual rejuvenation and renewal could be helpful. However,
suppose one suddenly withdraws from physical living and plunges straight
into a completely spiritual lifestyle. In that case, the lack of balance could
throw up some issues.

You can maintain a sense of balance by grounding yourself in a couple of

physical activities that you schedule daily. We talked about this in the
previous chapter. For example, writing has become a physical activity that
is a regular fixture in my calendar. Even though I predominantly write about
spiritual matters, the act of writing and putting these words on paper is
physical and keeps me grounded as part of the action. Physical exercise, in
which we move all parts of our body and feel the movement of fresh air in
and out of our lungs, is helpful. These physical activities remind us that we
still have our bodies to bring around and take care of. As a famous teacher
puts it, realizing that we are not our physical bodies does not mean that we
do not have a body. As I put it, the realization that we are not our car does
not mean that we do not have a car! We still need to take care of it and
ensure that it receives regular maintenance. Most importantly, let’s have fun
driving it!

Use your body to explore and enjoy your physical manifestations. In the
early days, I often could not understand what Abraham-Hicks meant when
they taught that we are meant to enjoy the fruits of our manifestations with
our bodies. I often thought about how that could be possible. Aren’t we
supposed to work with our bodies? Aren’t we supposed to do things and
make things happen? It was only until later that I realized that the most
effective way to create is to do so non-physically but to physically
experience the fruits of these manifestations. So there has to be some
balance in life.

You can start adding this sense of balance to your life today. First, take a
look at which area needs strengthening. Are you placing too much emphasis
on your physical body and wearing things out? For example, are you
putting too much emphasis on getting things done and taking physical
action? Or are you placing too much emphasis on not taking physical action
or even deliberately avoiding taking action? Most readers of self-help
material are on the physical action end of the scale, while most readers of
spiritual self-help material end up on the non-physical action end of the
scale! The most effective way is somewhere closer to the middle. Over
time, you will also develop a good sense of what is best for you.

There are immense benefits to staying balanced between action and non-
action. Because you are closer to the middle of the spectrum, your physical
body and cells are constantly revitalized and renewed. Someone who is
grounded, neutral, and balanced will have a completely healthy body. Any
physical issues will be resolved quickly without the need for intervention.
Someone balanced is also able to access both worlds at once. I see this as
the most significant benefit. You will be in touch with your intuition (the
realm of the non-physical) and your physical abilities. You’ll be like a
wizard, being able to shape and operate from both realms at once. If an
action needs to be taken, you recognize and become part of that action. If
there is energy that needs to be directed non-physically, you recognize and
direct it accordingly. Being close to the middle takes the guesswork out of
what you have to do—the solutions will always come quickly to you, and
you execute them. In fact, you’ll often find both happening at the same
time. You’ll find yourself in the physical action before realizing why you
were called to do it! Intuition and action coincide.

There is value in having a physical body, for now. Spirits and ghosts are
beings that do not have physical bodies. Consequently, they are unable to
do many of the things that human beings can do. In fact, they often have to
enlist the help of humans to do these things! So appreciate your physical
life experience for now and use it in ways that will live up to your full
infinite potential!
Chapter 10 - Integrating Manifestations into Your
Everyday Life
I often speak of the “art” of manifestations as a practical “science.”
Readers of my books will know that the best way to create physical
manifestations is to incorporate these steps into their daily lives. Instead of
creating different bucket lists, one for the Universe to work on spiritually
and another list to work on practically, why not integrate the two?
Integrating these practices into your life is the fastest way to effect physical
manifestations.

It starts with a change in perception. In the beginning, it helps to blur the

lines between the physical and non-physical world. Instead of seeing the
objects and things around you as being in physical form, start becoming
aware of them existing in the non-physical realm. In fact, the physical
manifestations and phenomena around you first existed in the non-physical
form before materializing as physical objects. Once they have manifested,
though, they continue to co-exist in all realms simultaneously. Remember
that everything exists in awareness only and is ultimately made up of pure
awareness (formless substance). Recognizing this in your daily life helps
you move between form and formlessness more quickly and fluidly.

I like to use the example of writing these words. Formlessness is when

these words are nebulous ideas and concepts, seemingly within me and
waiting to be expressed. I bring them into form through my fingers and onto
this page, where they are then printed for millions around the world to read.
In their printed form, these words go on to create physical and non-physical
changes in the lives of my readers… and the cycle continues. So everything
is constantly moving into form and out of form.

Our role in all of this is to be part of the physical action. By this, I do not
mean taking action or exerting effort to make things happen. Instead, we
want to be effortlessly and at one with any action that is taking place. Just
as I do not fight or question these words as they flow effortlessly out onto
the page in front of me, I do not question or second-guess every step that I
take in my life. Whatever action you take, no matter how insignificant it
seems to be, will be the right action for you. Since everything is always in
motion and fluid, the course of action can always be easily altered with one
directed thought! In fact, all it takes is just one directed energetic thought to
create and alter years of seemingly wrong actions or choices! Once you
become conscious of the possibilities, then there is no limit to what you can
create.

There could be things in your life to which you have not applied these
teachings to. Why delay or wait any longer? As I wrote in the first chapter,
try this first on everything! There is no need to wait till the last moment
when you run out of choices or possibilities. You never run out of options.
There are always options available to you regardless of how dire the outer
circumstances seem. Whenever you think you are trapped by external
circumstances, that simply means that your thinking mind has reached a
dead end. The mind tells you that it has exhausted all known possibilities
and can see no possible way to move forward. NOT-MIND, on the other
hand, is unlimited and knows no limits or boundaries. The being that thinks
it is trapped is the rational mind and not who you really are.
The next time you come across a dead-end in any area of your life or
work, directly connect NOT-MIND to the situation. In fact, it is often easier
to do so because the mind has given up! So you can be assured that it will
not bother you for a while. However, the mind will constantly lament that it
is stuck and worry about the situation endlessly despite admitting that it has
no way out. You only need a way “out” of the situation when you perceive
that you are trapped. If you do not see yourself as being trapped, what
situation do you need to get out of?

Everything that I speak and write about has come from my own personal
life experience and my realizations in applying these truths to them. There
is no situation I write about that is theoretical or imagined. That would be a
great disservice to my readers. Therefore, understand that while your mind
may be fighting over these words, there is always a higher path. Keep these
possibilities open, and you shall realize them.

There was a period in my life when I perceived my work situation to be

at a dead end. I was convinced that my performance was at the mercy of
external parties beyond my control. I believed that it would be fruitless no
matter how well I performed unless these people validated my performance.
Now there are a lot of work situations where this is the case. You may be in
a job in which your performance is appraised by your superiors or even
subordinates. Your promotion could be contingent on these assessments and
so on. As my mind fed me these possibilities, I became increasingly
depressed about the possible outcomes. Because my mind had convinced
me that it was futile, I ended up feeling discouraged, and my productivity
suffered as a result.
Back then, it did not occur to me to apply these spiritual teachings to my
work. Like many others, I believed that work was supposed to be practical
and that I was supposed to do things only through my own physical effort.
So I would leave those spiritual teachings to other stuff, like my
manifestations! Eventually, the breaking point came, and with nothing else
to turn to, I had no choice but to apply the teachings to my field of work.
While I did not have the words for it, I connected NOT-MIND directly to
the situation. I took my thinking mind (that caused me so much suffering)
out of the picture.

This does not mean that I completely shut myself off at work. Instead, I
became one with the physical action required at work. When getting a job
done, my concern was no longer on whether it would please those that
appraised me. My concern was no longer on whether it would get their
approval. Instead, I connected NOT-MIND to every piece of work that I
produced and let higher intelligence speak through me. I let that powerful
sense of creativity come through me and express itself through my work.
Work tasks that needed to get done were completed effortlessly. Was there
physical action involved on my part? Of course, there was. Were there
instances where I had to use my thinking mind to navigate issues and
problems? There were many. But I used my mind like an on-off switch
controlling a tool or a computer. You turn on the device when you need it
but turn it off when the job is done and put it away.

Things turned around in a matter of weeks. I knew things had already

taken a new direction when I decided to apply NOT-MIND to a seemingly
dire situation. Still, the physical signs came just a few short weeks later.
Because I let Universal intelligence flow through my work, my
performance was suddenly noticed by parties beyond my organization. I
had initially thought that I was only reporting to a small group of people.
However, allowing Universal intelligence to express itself in my work
allowed me to work with larger groups beyond my company. As a result,
my work was noticed by several companies and organizations, which in
turn led to even more invitations and opportunities. Eventually, my
reputation outside the organization was so strengthened that it became
impossible for those in my company to not recognize me. They had to! All
because I became part of the Universal action.

I often think that I would have saved years of agony and frustration had I
applied this right from the start. But the real lesson of the story here is that
you can change the course of your life in a matter of seconds. While it may
take a couple of weeks or months for the physical signs to appear (or it
could happen in an instant), the moment you direct something—it is done!
There are no ifs, buts, or qualifications. All you need to do is start the
sequence of events and let things take care of themselves after that. What
can you let the Universe take care of today and every day that follows in
your life? What is one thing that hasn’t occurred to you to let the Universe
handle? Connect it directly to NOT-MIND and let things flow!
Chapter 11 - There is Only Is-ness
Here are a few other tips to make integrating these practices into your
life easier. Each time you make a linear list of things to do, connect NOT-
MIND directly to the list. More specifically, connect NOT-MIND to the
completion of all items on the list. If you do so just after making a list, you
will notice a sense of powerful energy and flow moving through you. This
Universal source of energy will greatly support any action that you need to
take.

When you are engaged in a task, connect NOT-MIND strongly to

whatever you are doing. It works best if you break down your action into
the smallest individual components possible and apply NOT-MIND to each
step of the process. For example, if you are typing a report, first apply
NOT-MIND to the entire report. Next, break down the action and let NOT-
MIND help you write each word, paragraph, and page. If you are preparing
for a client presentation, let NOT-MIND help you with what to say and the
slides that you have to do. Finally, apply NOT-MIND to the organization of
the material and how it will be presented. Most importantly, apply NOT-
MIND to your successful presentation!

When we apply NOT-MIND to a task, we are not visualizing a successful

outcome. Instead, we want the process to be as sharp, strong, and directed
as possible. There is no need to visualize or feel the emotions involved. Just
apply and connect NOT-MIND to the end result/situation for a few seconds.
You will feel a strengthening of energy and a directed flow. This is all that
is needed. Leave everything else up to the Universe!
In the beginning, you may need to apply and connect to NOT-MIND
repeatedly as you are engaged in the task. You may need to do it several
times, for no more than a few seconds each time. That is alright, so long as
you are not engaged in excessive mental thought or thinking while doing it.
Remember that this is not an exercise in visualization or affirmation. You
are not getting to a specific end state or trying to psych yourself up for
anything. We are not trying to motivate ourselves here! Instead, all we are
doing is to direct Universal energies towards something. It could be a task
that we are doing or an intention that we wish to fulfill. All we need to do is
make that connection between NOT-MIND and whatever we want to
connect with. In turn, there are no limitations to what we can alter or
connect to. We leave the intricate details to NOT-MIND instead of fussing
over them.

Let NOT-MIND decide the best course of action in every situation. It

already knows all possibilities and every single course of action, so why let
your mind fret over a limited number of possibilities? NOT-MIND words in
miraculous ways that often can only be understood backward and after the
fact. The workings of NOT-MIND will often appear haphazard before
things happen. That is because NOT-MIND is beyond the realm of time and
works non-linearly if it can even be considered to be working at all! Stop
using the mind to understand NOT-MIND. Give up the mind directly and
move into NOT-MIND. You will look back and find your life progressing
with such remarkable ease and flow that you wonder how all of that
happened in the first place!

Of course, the mind will try and take credit for things that happened. It is
only natural. The mind will attempt to say, “I did this! I made it happen! It
happened through me!” Be very conscious when this happens. If you buy
into the lies of the mind, then you will unknowingly fall back into your old
habits of trying to make everything happen through the mind again. You
will forget that it is NOT-MIND that brought you here. You will forget that
it was the ceding of mental control, rather than obtaining control itself, that
brought everything here. But the mind has a knack for reinterpreting past
events, and that is where our mental fallacies stem from.

When the mind attempts to take credit for something, remind yourself
that the mind, working in conjunction with NOT-MIND, made things
happen. It appeared as if things happened from you (from the mind), but in
fact, they happened through you (from NOT-MIND). The distinction is
subtle initially but will become more apparent as you deepen in the
realization of these teachings. Soon you will come to see that the mind does
not exist at all. It, too, is a part of NOT-MIND. When you realize this, then
there is nothing to be done and nothing to be undone. There is no longer a
difference between doing and not doing. There is only this, and even this is
excessive. There is.
Chapter 12 - When Mental Thinking Slows You
Down
I recently bought an ergonomic keyboard. The keys are split right down
the middle, and each set of keys are angled to fit each hand. At first, the
novel arrangement of the keys took some getting used to. I had become too
used to typing on a conventional keyboard. By the end of the first week, my
fingers were flying all over my new keyboard as if I had used it forever. I
had become accustomed to a new way of typing.

Life happens the same way. We often overestimate the amount of effort
or energy it takes us to make directed changes. But once those changes are
made, it seems like we have operated in this manner forever. Of course, this
happens in both directions. We could also find ourselves slipping deeper
into the illusion of life and the daily grind, forgetting that there is something
beyond all of this.

I invite you to ponder the possibility that changes can be directed and
automatic. All you need to do is simply direct the change. I set things in
motion by buying a new keyboard and removing the old one on my desk.
That swap is all that was needed. The rest of the changes happened
naturally by themselves. My fingers eventually figured things out, and I
didn’t have to worry about the learning process. I made fine adjustments
along the way. I let physical intelligence take care of everything. If I had
made a big thing about the switch, wondering whether I would ever get
used to it (or whether it would be right for me), I might still be thinking
about it. Very often, it is the thinking (and getting caught up in reasoning)
that drains us. When we allow ourselves to be led, things happen easily and
effortlessly. They become automatic.

A large part of my message in this book is making manifestations

automatic for you. This means you hardly have to think about how they will
happen or what you should do to allow things into your life. Instead, you
want to get accustomed to a way of living in which you give the slightest
thought to something, and it happens. Just the slightest nudge in a particular
direction and NOT-MIND sets the whole sequence of events in motion.
This way of living takes some getting used to, but it is easier than you think.
It is preparing to change and the process of convincing yourself that takes a
long time. Some people spend their whole lives convincing themselves that
it is not possible. Of course, then it becomes true for them, and they become
stuck at the level of mental thinking. Others spend their whole lives
convincing themselves that it is possible. They want so badly to experience
automatic manifestations… but they never do. Because they get stuck at the
stage of “convincing” themselves.

Give up any notion that you need to be convinced or that your desires
and beliefs have to be strong enough to achieve something. The strength of
your desires and beliefs has no part to play in any of this. You just decide on
what you want, pay the slightest attention to it, and it is done! There is no
explanation required. Who are you trying to convince or explain things to?
Who or what is trying to understand all of this? I would rather that you
spend the time doing and making these directed changes in your life.

If there is one change you can take today, it will be to think less and do
more. By thinking, I am referring to the kind of damaging mental thinking
that bogs you down. Mental thinking includes worrying about whether
something can be done, what others will think, and spending time worrying
about the possible outcomes. By doing more, I am not advocating that you
rush straight on into everything. Instead, fine-tune your own sense of
perception until you have a keen sense of your inner world. Each time an
impulse to worry or mentally think about something comes up within you,
become aware of what is happening and stop it in its tracks. Then
immediately connect NOT-MIND to the situation and stop thinking. This
sounds strange and even dangerous initially since we have become so used
to using our minds to keep us safe. Unfortunately, that is yet another
illusion perpetuated by the ego.

When you become adept at removing excessive mental thinking and

mental thoughts from your life, you will become surprised at how smooth-
sailing your life becomes. The thoughts are still there, but you are no longer
the thinker. Instead, you become spontaneous and strong in your actions. It
sounds ironic at first, but try it and demonstrate this for yourself.

My mum has been a lifelong compulsive over-thinker. However, in a

period of two weeks when my dad needed some medical attention (which
thankfully turned out to be nothing major), the immediate concern of
having to tend to my dad forced her to give up her excessive thinking. She
became surprisingly decisive and even felt divinely guided during that
week. There is nothing mystical about divine inspiration or being in the
present moment. All it involves is taking your mind out of the equation.
This means stopping excessive mental thought. When the mind is out of the
equation, there is no past or future. There is only the present moment.
You do not need an emergency situation to force yourself to change.
Instead, you can apply a conscious, directed intention to produce the shift
that is needed right here and now. It will feel unnatural in the beginning,
like typing on a new keyboard. But soon, you’ll become accustomed to it,
and it will be a natural extension of your being.
Chapter 13 - Becoming Speechless About Your
Issues
My ultimate goal for this book is for you to become totally speechless
about your manifestations or problems. Becoming speechless, or having
absolutely nothing to verbalize or think about your manifestations, means
that the issue does not bother you anymore. You no longer have things to
say about it!

Therefore, the first litmus test for whether your issues have been resolved
is the way you feel on the inside about them. Most people look to external
signs like the presence of physical manifestations, but those usually come
one step later. So instead, the most immediate indication that the situation
has improved is how you feel about it on the inside. Do you still feel a need
to verbalize the issue? Does it still bother you when you think about it? Of
course, the memories related to the issue will still be there, but they no
longer have any emotional effect on you. They will just be like memories
replaying, with no effect on your inner state.

Some students of this material are confused when they get to this state
because of the conspicuous absence of desires or mind chatter. There is no
longer that pressing inner voice that compels us to do something. For a
while, you may walk around in silence. This does not mean that your
thoughts disappear entirely. You still have mental thoughts and activities,
but those no longer exert undue influence over you. You recognize them for
what they are, just some chattering in the background. You recognize that
you are something beyond those thoughts and mental energies. There is
something there. This recognition, in itself, is sufficient. Just immerse
yourself in this new state of being and enjoy your newfound sense of
freedom! You have always been free. This freedom has always been
available to you. It has been previously obscured by so much mental
activity and struggle that you couldn’t even recognize it.
Beyond (or beneath) all that mental noise is pure silence and the sense of
complete awareness unfettered by anything describable. The state of pure
inner silence is indescribable, and it can only be best described as a state of
emptiness. Yet emptiness, while an adequate description, still falls
somewhat short of describing this state of beingness. It is not really empty;
there is something there—this something is the complete state of awareness
in which no words are necessary. Everything is in complete stillness and yet
in motion. It is a paradoxical state beyond the mind’s comprehension, so do
not try to understand it with words. Instead, my intention is for you to be
there for yourself. You are already there. Now just halt all mental activities
that slow you down and experience it completely for yourself.

Whenever you face any perceived issues or problems in life, recognize

that the cause of many of these issues is excessive mental activity. When
mental thinking related to these issues cease, then the issues are resolved as
well. As I did in my early days, you may be tempted to think that these
issues have an independent existence from your mental thoughts. That is
what things seem like and merely an illusion. These issues have no separate
existence of their own, apart from your thoughts (awareness) of them.
When your mental activities cease, these perceived circumstances fall away
on their own as well, with nothing to support them. Realize this truth for
yourself.
Chapter 14 - Deal with One Thing at a Time
Whenever something bothers you on the inside, do not attempt to
suppress or live with it. You should not be putting up with any negative
feelings or circumstances in life at all. Instead, everything in life can be
instantly resolved using these simple and effective manifestation principles.

Many of us have been taught to suppress our negative emotions or to live

with difficult circumstances. Unfortunately, these negative emotions (if not
let go of safely) create unwanted manifestations in our lives and even
physical ailments over time. In fact, most pains, aches, and illnesses
(including allergic reactions) can be traced back to specific emotions and
negative life situations that have not been properly resolved. The
cumulative effect of these negative life situations can lead to an extremely
miserable life or even physical death.

It does not have to be this way. In writing this series of books, I intend to
show readers that every situation in life can be quickly and easily resolved
once we align ourselves with these Universal principles. I am not the one
who invented these principles. I merely discovered them, initially through
trial-and-error and later on by fine-tuning these techniques through the
guidance of other teachers and my own intuition. As you become more
aligned with your true self, you will find life problems being resolved
automatically within seconds. The moment a problem is focused upon, the
solution appears simultaneously (or within the next few seconds). To reach
this state of awareness, we must become accustomed to our role in the
Universe.
The first step when faced with a negative situation is to stop tolerating it.
By this, I do not mean that you fight or resist it head-on. Instead, a complete
acceptance of the current situation is needed. By acceptance, we do not
mean that we intend for things to stay the same forever. Instead, we are
saying that we accept that the issue exists right now, and we are ready to do
something about it. We accept everything as it is right now with no
resistance. After all, whatever could happen has already happened in the
current moment. Resistance is futile. The realization that you can fully
accept something as it is and yet resolve it is a very powerful one. Most
people think acceptance means keeping things the way they are. In fact, it is
resistance (non-acceptance) that keeps things the way they are. The more
we complain about how things shouldn’t be going this way, or how we
should not be treated in a particular way, the more attention we place on the
physical circumstances. This constant fixation on the problem is what
perpetuates its continued existence.

When you shift your inner state to accepting, you instantly take your
mind out of the equation. Let’s take the simple example of a colleague who
has been hostile to you at work for no apparent reason. Initially, it might
feel unreasonable to be asked to “accept” his behavior, “Why should I
accept his behavior? He should not be behaving this way!” But acceptance
here does not mean that you condone his behavior, only that you free him
up to behave in whatever way he wants. You stop trying to change him or
the perceived issue. You take your attention off the perceived issue while
resolving to change it on the inside.

The second step is to break the issue down into the simplest terms
possible. I often teach that you should simplify your intention down into
three to five words or less. Similarly, you should simplify the problem into
three or five words. If you are tempted to describe an issue using long
sentences or paragraphs, you have allowed yourself to become
overwhelmed by several things at once. Pick the issue that bothers you the
most and work with that first and then the next one. When you put all of
your issues together, you create such an imbalanced inner state that it
becomes difficult to direct your energies. Any issue can be summarized and
simplified or broken down into simpler issues.

Let’s say that you are facing negative financial circumstances. You could
be overwhelmed by the long hours and unsatisfactory pay at your job,
leading to relationship problems. It might be tempting to describe all these
problems and issues at once, but let us simplify them. What is the issue that
bothers you the most out of this entire scenario? You may think that your
financial situation bothers you the most, but breaking things down into
smaller chunks could reveal that the strained relationship with your family
throws things off the most in this scenario. You would feel a lot better if the
relationship with your spouse improved, which could perhaps create a more
supportive environment to look for a new job.

Notice how we would never have gained this insight if we merely

tolerated the negative circumstances or resisted them. It takes full
acceptance to manifest. This means a willingness to simplify the issue, put
things in the right order, and dealing with one thing at a time. Your desired
manifestations become automatic when you can simplify and summarize
the situation in just a few words. It becomes easier to direct your energy in a
focused manner. By not using your mind to describe the issue, you also
reduce any interference from the thinking mind.
Chapter 15 - Remove All Judgments and Deal
With The Absolute
All of our perceived problems arise from the artificial construct of “past”
and “future.” In this now moment, where is this supposed past, and where is
the future? Sure, you can think about the past and bring up memories from
the past, but there is absolutely nothing you can do to be back in the past.
Similarly, you can bring up thoughts about the future, but the future is just
like the horizon, always an imaginary line somewhere out there.

It is not a limitation that we cannot relive the past or experience the

future in the now moment. This is, in fact, the very nature and fabric of our
reality. The best definition of enlightenment that I often share with others is
to “fully understand the nature of yourself and of your own reality.” In other
words, what makes up the very essential essence of this life experience that
you are living? What makes up you as a person? Who are you? Who am I?
Who are you in relation to the world around you and the world that you live
in? These are not philosophical questions. They cannot be answered by the
intellectual, thinking mind because the answers are beyond the mind. The
answers to these questions point towards the infinite nature of the Universe.
The logical, thinking mind places a limitation on the infinite, and with those
limitations come our artificial (but necessary) conceptualizations of time—
past, present, and future. If you understood the true nature of your
experience, you would come to see that there is only now. It is always the
now moment, one now moment moving into the next… the now is
becoming the future.
We need to have a way to organize and understand these series of now
moments, which is why our minds have come up with a clever way of
arranging events along a time line such that it makes sense to us. When
there is a logical sequence, we can move through space and time aided by
our minds. We can deal with the physical creations around us. But that
gentle awareness in the background is always there. I call it the connection
to our source and the gentle recognition that everything is as it is supposed
to be. This connection is always there. It cannot be broken, and we are it.

There may be certain times during your day when you momentarily lose
touch with this connection. For example, you may allow yourself to be
caught up in negative emotions of fear, anger, or worry. Or you may find
yourself responding at the level of your conditioned mind. These
conditioned responses make us temporarily forget our true nature, but that
connection is never really lost. We are always connected to our essential
selves.

Most of our minds have become conditioned to engage in disputes and

fights. You may receive an email at work and feel anger rising up within
you, thinking that the other person is out to get you or make your life
miserable. Your mind (and body) is gearing up for a fight. You find your
heartbeat quickening and all sorts of scenarios running through your mind
about how to engage in this upcoming fight. If you are not careful, you will
spend a lot of time in this imaginary fight. It wears you out physically and
mentally! Very often, we go one step further and engage in a physical or
verbal confrontation with another. These rarely end well and leave us
drained. Fighting is never the way to resolve anything, but it is often a
conditioned response by our minds. A common theme is that someone or
something is out to get us.

If you allow your conditioned responses to manage your affairs, your life
will become needlessly challenging, not to mention tiring. The next time
you perceive an issue and feel something rising within you, just sit and
observe it curiously. Ask yourself whether this response comes from the
conditioned mind or from your true nature (the all-knowing part of yourself
that is connected to the source). Of course, we are not trying to over-
analyze or to be self-righteous here, but you will often experience a moment
of clarity as you realize that your first response is usually a conditioned one.
It has no truth in it. It is built through social conditioning and the perceived
need to protect your own identity.

Each time you notice your conditioned response to something (whatever

the outer issue is), you will weaken it slightly. You also begin to put some
distance between your true nature and the conditioned response. In time to
come, you will realize that the conditioned response is what your mind
offers, but it is not what the Universe offers. In other words, you have been
engaged in a war with yourself, perpetuating the inner cycle over and over
again. How often has an argument gone out of control because you mentally
rehearsed what the other person was going to say or do? Those mental
reenactments (again based on mental conditioning) caused you to react even
more negatively to the situation. They could have led to some painful or
regretful words being uttered.

As you go through your day, notice how your personal awareness is like
a container. It encapsulates all of your experience. Everything that you
experience in life happens within this giant container. This container is so
huge that it extends to infinity. It contains everything—the good, bad, and
the ugly. Then notice how everything that you perceive spontaneously
arises within this container. Whether you like it or not, it has already
happened. It is already in the container. The container is so voluminous that
it can hold anything and everything. It is an unlimited container, just like
the nature of your awareness. There are no boundaries as to where your
awareness starts or ends. Everything that has happened or is happening
occurs in this container known as your “awareness.”

There is no need to fight or push against anything. Resistance is futile.

Whatever has happened has occurred in your life experience. As you stay
with these words, you will notice that nothing that can ever happen to you
will diminish you. The ego thinks it is diminished by other people and
things, but the ego is an artificial construct of the mind. Your true nature
(which is infinite awareness) is never diminished or reduced by anything. A
colleague can be angry at you, offer harsh words, or even insults… but
everything still happens within this infinite container of your awareness.

Of course, I am not saying that you do not react or respond to the

situation or tolerate the abuse. I am saying that there is no need for an
immediate conditioned response to any perceived situation. When you
make some space between yourself and the issue, you allow the Universe
(which is infinite awareness) to step in and resolve the issue. When you
take the first response the mind offers, you can only go down a downward
and self-perpetuating cycle, with each side’s ego engaging with the other.
Just merely giving up the initial conditioned response will spontaneously
straighten out many issues in our modern lives.
Give up the need to fight. Instead, let everything pass through you
effortlessly. Again, I will preface this by saying that if there is a situation
that requires your immediate attention, then deal with it as needed.
However, I would say that ninety percent of the situations in our life do not
demand an immediate response. They do not require that we immediately
engage in a “fight or flight” situation. These are the situations where it
helps to stop reacting habitually and instead turn to a completely new way
of being. By so doing, you transcend the old, dysfunctional ways of doing
things and open yourself up to entirely new possibilities.

If you have been living all your life reactively, I would like you to try an
experiment for yourself. Try going one day (or just half a day) without
reacting or responding to anything. If things come through at your work,
just deal with them as needed without going into “fight” mode. For
example, suppose you receive an email from a colleague that irritates you
because you think he is trying to make your life miserable. Leave that
second part behind. Leave all your mental judgments about the colleague or
the situation behind. Instead, just deal entirely with the problem at hand.
Give him the information he wants or do whatever he asks for without
judgment or attachments. It will be difficult to push those mental judgments
away, but the judgments are also conditioned. Let all of those fall away
gently and be dissolved by your awareness.

I am not saying to suddenly be magnanimous or forgiving towards your

colleague for what he has done in the past. No change in belief or opinions
is needed. All I ask is that you deal with the current issue at hand without
past mental baggage or judgments. Do this for everything that comes up
during the day. Remove all judgments about any situation that arises and
simply just deal with the observable facts of the situation. You will be
surprised at how much of your day is clouded by mental judgments about
people and things, most of which are self-concocted. Sure, there is a chance
they might be true, but these spontaneous judgments weigh you down and
cause you to react needlessly to everything. They take away your true
power.

When you deal with only the observable facts in each situation, you
become mindless. The mind is taken out of the equation because you no
longer judge or criticize the situation. You no longer think about how to
preempt or protect yourself. Doing this will liberate you. What other people
think about you will no longer bother you because you no longer use your
mind to judge others. Try this and notice how your life becomes freer and
lighter. In time to come, the situation will have changed so completely that
the individuals involved become completely unrecognizable. The other
party will also become transformed by this experience. After all, we are all
one and part of the same awareness.

When you take the mental judgment out of any situation, you will notice
your mind becoming very quiet. Previously, ninety percent of your thoughts
would be related to a person's or situation's judgments, and only ten percent
or less would be related to the facts. For example, “Michael sent me this
email requesting for X” is a fact. “This Michael is trying to make my life
miserable by asking for all this information! He must be getting back at me
for the time I complained about him to the boss!” is a judgment. It may or
may not be true, but that is not the point. The “truth” is that entertaining that
series of thoughts is making your life very miserable and disconnecting you
from who you really are.

As you go through your day, distinguish between impartial observations

and judgments. I provided an example in the previous paragraph, but you
will find many spontaneous examples in your daily life. For example, “my
neighbor should not be speeding through the neighborhood” is a judgment,
while “my neighbor is driving at X miles per hour through the
neighborhood” is an observation. When we separate our observations from
judgments, we remove the mind from the picture and tap into Universal
power to make things flow for us. Each judgmental thought is a small act of
resisting what is, which is why it feels so miserable and at odds with the
truth of who we really are! Abraham-Hicks teach that when you have a
judgmental thought about someone or something that makes you feel bad, it
is a clear indication that the larger part of your being does not agree with
the assessment you have made.

The larger part of your being knows that there is only awareness and
infinite, limitless abundance in the Universe. It is your true nature. When
you use your mind to make a judgment that limits your perspective of the
situation, you pinch yourself off from the Universal flow.
Chapter 16 - How to Embed Manifestations into
Your Life
The only way to embed miracles and manifestations into your life is to
see everything from the Source's perspective. Different spiritual teachers
may call it different names. Abraham-Hicks calls Source a manifestation of
pure positive energy. Rupert Spira calls it pure, open, and transparent
awareness. Some call it God. I call it the void, the zero-point out of which
all creation springs forth. Whatever label you place on this wellspring will
be inadequate simply because the spring is infinite, never-ending, and
always flowing. We can use as many flowery words as possible to describe
it and limit ourselves to a superficial understanding at the mental level, or
we can simply experience it.

Embedding manifestations and making them an automatic part of your

life is not some mythical process. It doesn’t take years of practice. In fact,
you can do it in a single instant once you realize what it is all about. The
same theme has been running through this book, and it is this: Get your
mind out of the way! How do you do so? By giving up all the conditioned
ways of acting and being that you have been so used to. The purpose of
these teachings is to help you become completely mindless, spiritless, and
thoughtless. You want to be as empty as possible.

This scares some people because they wrongly believe that they would
not exist if they were completely empty. But as I have mentioned time and
time again, the emptiness I am referring to here doesn’t mean an absence of
everything. It simply means the lack of physical objects or mental
constructs—pure open awareness and space. This is the purest form of
consciousness before anything has even sprung forth, before all the
preliminary thoughts and judgments have even been formed. This is your
primal awareness, unconditioned and untainted by anything. This is how
Source energy (or the Universe) sees the world. Even such a description
would be inaccurate because pure awareness is all there is. There is no “one
thing” that sees another. The ability to do so would imply duality.

But for ease of intermediate explanation, let us go back to this primal

consciousness. This is the purest awareness you have before it is shaped
into any thoughts, words, labels, or objects. All thoughts and things are
formed out of this pure awareness as they pass through your conditioned
mind and conditioned responses, just as these words are flowing onto the
blank page in front of me. But take a moment to stay with the essential
consciousness, the all elementary and almost too obvious thought that I am
here. I exist. There is something here. This is the sense of is-ness and I AM-
ness that the great spiritual teachers speak about. Just stay with this sense of
being, untouched by anything else.

If you can go through your day while keeping this sense of connection to
your is-ness, then manifestations and miracles will seemingly start
happening in your life. I say seemingly because they will no longer seem
like miracles to you. Instead, things always fall in place as naturally as the
next logical step. Finally, you will reach a place of pure awareness where
you say, “Of course, how could that not happen! How could things be
otherwise!” You will line everything up without any effort on your part.
Even your greatest mental faculties will not be able to orchestrate such a
complex sequence of manifestations… yet you will look back at events and
recognize the Universal power running through all things.
Most readers of my books have a clue of what I am talking about. I
believe you should have experienced this at one level or another. Otherwise,
you wouldn’t be reading this right now. Even the spiritually uninitiated
would have had experiences of being at one with everything and having a
strong unmistakable feeling that everything was going well for them. These
realizations often occur when we are most desperate, when we give up
everything and surrender to what is. However, this power is always a part of
you. The power is you, and you can turn it into a way of being. This can be
a way of life for you.

Just as you do not fret over where the next breath will come from, why
worry over where life will take you next? Nothing that happens can
diminish you in any way. The ego thinks it can be diminished, but notice
how every experience occurs (as we mentioned in the previous chapter) in
this giant container known as your awareness. Your awareness is infinite,
and it can accept anything that happens within. Whatever contents of your
life experience all manifest themselves within this giant container, and you
are the observer of it all. Whether you (as a separate self) like it or not,
awareness always accepts everything a hundred percent without judgments
or reservations. Everything just is—there is no good, no bad, but just a
manifestation and expression of this Universe.

Of course the mind is tempted to creep in from time to time and say,
“Gosh, what a bad experience!” or comment about what a nasty situation
that is. Guess where that brings you if you engage the mind for even one
moment? That’s right, you go right back to the level of the ego, geared up
and ready for a confrontation. Give all of that struggle up and instead
transcend the current physical situation altogether. It is merely the current
situation, rapidly moving into the past. Give it some space to dissolve and
pay absolutely no attention to the current affairs. They will soon become a
thing of the past.

Do not project out into the future either. Many teachers advocate
visualizing or imagining how you want things to be. Visualizing insists that
things have to be a certain way or only happen as envisioned. Of course, the
act of visualizing is better than mulling over the current state of affairs. But
there is an even better way, which is to return to your primal sense of
awareness and just be. Instead of going into the past or projecting into the
future, just sit with the present moment and be and be and be. What are you
being? You are simply being yourself, not as a person or an artificial
identity (e.g., Bob, Sally, Paul), but recognizing that you are pure awareness
and consciousness. You are total, formless awareness beyond any name and
form. Stay with that.

As you stay with this for longer, you will realize that “Bob” is nothing
more than an identity that you have assumed in your mind. You have built
Bob up from nothing, given him names, labels, habits, and thought patterns.
Some of these identities may even have to be defended. For example, Bob
is well-liked by everyone around him. Therefore he has to perpetuate this
by going around and helping others. Notice the great lengths we go to
perpetuate these self-constructed images that we have made up in our
minds. There is no basis for any of them! You can just as easily be someone
else tomorrow.
It is alright to have an identity as it allows you to function in the world.
However, getting caught up with this identity and mistaking it for your
absolute reality will cause a lot of suffering. When you realize that you are
not Bob or Sally or Paul, as many spiritual teachers put it, there is a great
sense of liberation and freedom. You are it! You are everything there is to
be and pure open awareness.

Live your life and go through your day as pure open awareness. I like to
imagine myself as an empty container that is so big, it encompasses the
entirety of this Universe. As such, everything that happens, good or bad,
occurs within this huge container while “I” remain absolutely still. “I” never
really go anywhere. The true sense if I AM is immovable, immutable and
immanent. I AM is always balanced and neutral no matter what happens to
it. Nothing can ever happen because I AM is all-there-is and can never be
diminished or destroyed.

As you stay with these words, recognize bit by bit the I AM within you
and the I AM that you are. Soon you will realize that I AM is not just a
piece within you but actually the whole of you. I AM is who YOU ARE. It
is the absolute, and there is nothing outside of this infinite, unlimited
consciousness. However, our minds have crafted a small, limited sphere out
of the infinite and called it “Bob,” which Bob then sees the need to defend.
Chapter 17 - The Best Action You Can Take
Whenever things crop up in your life, deal with everything as pure
consciousness and awareness would. Eschew your old ways of worrying,
fear, or negative thinking. Pure consciousness would never label or judge. It
would immediately condense the situation into what needs to be done and
deal with it. If it is a response at the physical level of action, then take
action spontaneously. If it is a response at the level of the mind, in which
you have to think through several options, then use the mind expediently for
that purpose only. Sometimes none of the options will seem right, and there
is nothing to be done at the current time. Everything will become simple
and intuitive when you do not over-analyze things with your mind.

I have often written that we should not be waiting for signs or thinking
about whether we should be taking action. Another common issue is
second-guessing all the possible options and wondering whether we are
acting in the best way possible. There is no best option because everything
is energetic and malleable. Everything can be subsequently corrected and
turned into the “best” option for you. As long as you act spontaneously and
with clarity without being bogged down by the mind, you can be assured
that you are taking the “best” action.

I often see readers paralyzed by negative thoughts, fears, and mental

thinking. Inaction only leads to more inertia and eventually depression.
Depression is often an overactive mind that is not recognized for what it is.
The mind chatter has become so loud and believable that the true self is
obscured. Remember that the mind is only a mental construct. It is a bundle
of thoughts rehashed out of past memories, social conditioning, and an
artificial identity. Let the thoughts just gently fade into the background and
do not engage them. In time to come, they will bother you less and less.
You will realize that they are not your thoughts.

This is why many books advocate just taking action. Doing so disrupts
and cuts out the thinking mind. It short-circuits conditioned thinking
patterns of the mind and opens up new possibilities. That is why action, in
itself, can be so effective. However, I also teach that you want to take
spontaneous and clear action. You also want to dissolve any doubts or fears
about the action that you are taking by linking NOT-MIND to your actions.
Let NOT-MIND guide you in taking the necessary actions. A simple
directed awareness of this is all that is necessary. “I direct NOT-MIND to
guide my actions” is often the necessary starting spark you need to jump-
start anything. Hold that thought simply in your awareness. You do not even
have to visualize it. Simply bringing up NOT-MIND and imposing it on
whatever situation you have is enough to fully resolve an issue. Your
thinking mind may not recognize the immediate changes fast enough. It
may only be later that you finally observe that a solution has manifested.
Chapter 18 - Superimposing NOT-MIND on Your
Life
NOT-MIND is more than a concept. It is beyond name and form, beyond
all forms of conceptualization or rationalization. When we refer to NOT-
MIND in the context of these teachings, you instinctively know what it
refers to. NOT-MIND brings up the totality of you, or in other words, your
beingness. It brings up the essential primal awareness that is pure
consciousness and one with everything. Therefore, there is no need to figure
out or analyze what this concept of NOT-MIND is. The only purpose of
using this phrase is to help you get there and be it.

The second purpose of this phrase is to contrast it with your rational,

thinking mind. This is the limited part of you that analyzes everything, that
thinks in linear terms, and has a self-created identity (your ego). So
whenever we bring up NOT-MIND, you instantly know that we are not
talking about the mind or the mental aspects of you. Instead, we are talking
about something beyond what the mind can conceptualize or think of, just
as how the Universe or God is so big that it defies all physical description.

The directed thought of bringing up NOT-MIND is powerful in itself.

When you bring it up, you effortlessly connect with your energetic center
and the source of your being. The next part of this practice is to
superimpose NOT-MIND onto your daily life.

Whenever perceived issues or challenges come your way, simply call

upon NOT-MIND by superimposing it directly on the situation at hand. To
do so, you could think very quickly about the situation that is bothering you
(without going into details) before directing NOT-MIND to resolve the
situation. This feels very different from our usual ways of resolving a
problem, which involves carefully thinking through the various options and
carefully considering all aspects of the issue. Instead, there are no mental
thoughts involved with superimposing NOT-MIND on the situation. This is
a completely thoughtless and mindless process. All you are doing is to
direct NOT-MIND to resolve the issue without the active intervention of
your thinking mind.

You will be surprised at how quickly things clear up in your life once
you follow this method. This is not magic. Instead, it follows from an
understanding of your true nature in relation to the nature of the Universe.
When you realize that you are the sum total of the Universe, you realize that
anything is possible and that it is all good. There is nothing you have to
fight or struggle against. Instead, there is only Universal flow and
abundance. The Universe always provides for you, whether you realize it or
not.

How quickly things turn around for you will depend on how much time
you spend in NOT-MIND versus your thinking mind. Some people are so
self-identified with their minds that these teachings have zero effect on
them. They will not even allow themselves to function another way. That is
alright, as even this phenomenon is an illusion in itself. The illusion that
you have no choice and that you are subject to the whims and fancies of the
world. Ultimately, all of the physical objects around us form part of this
illusion until you see them for what they really are—as consciousness and
awareness. But while we are in this physical time and space reality,
applying these principles can make your life much easier. You still go
through life like before, but you no longer identify with your troubles or
think the world of them. You recognize that they can be very easily resolved
from the point of view of the absolute.

Life then is a matter of the perspective that you take. Who or what do
you identify with most of the time? Do you identify with your mind, which
feels like a familiar old friend, or with NOT-MIND, which is completely
new and unchartered territory since it cannot be grasped in familiar ways
that you have come to know? Identifying with NOT-MIND means giving
up a certain degree of understanding, but it does not mean that you leap
completely into the unknown. That sense of all-pervading awareness that
represents NOT-MIND is something all of us are intimately familiar with.
This primal sense of I AM is the observer who experiences all things and is
itself unchanged.

Spiritual teacher Rupert Spira likes to use the analogy of a screen on

which a movie is projected. The screen forms the basis of and is present in
all the movie scenes but is never affected by whatever is projected. The
screen is the essential substance of all the images projected on it, just as
your primal awareness is this Universe's essential substance. Without this
primal awareness, nothing would exist.
Chapter 19 - The Difference Between Apathy and
Imperturbability
Many esoteric teachings help us get to this state of mindlessness or
oneness. I have studied many of them myself over several decades. Many of
these teachings can be misconstrued by our ego minds if we are not careful.
Therefore, I often encourage my readers not to dwell too much at the level
of the mind. The moment the mind has time to think about something, it
could throw you off course entirely. For example, the teaching that
“everything is an illusion” could be misconstrued by the ego-mind to be,
“since everything is an illusion, then what is the use of taking action?” This
is not enlightenment. It is a thought concocted by the ego-mind that has
misappropriated these teachings for its own purpose. Another common one
is “I do not need to do anything since I am enlightened.”

Be very careful when your mind tries to sneak in thoughts like this all
day long. They often seem innocuous but can keep an individual trapped for
years! A common symptom is a state of apathy. “Why bother? I am not
interested in anything. I am only interested in spiritual truths.” Such an
individual often does nothing at all except reading one spiritual book after
another.

There is a difference between going with the Universal flow, being

imperturbable to things versus being apathetic. The greatest indication is the
amount of inner joy and aliveness that you feel. Someone who is
completely open and in the Universal flow constantly demonstrates the
infinite nature of life, whether he is physically engaged in something or
otherwise. An apathetic person feels miserable and dead inside, pinched off
from the Universal flow. That is not a mark of being in touch with the
spiritual side; it is a sign of depression.
Chapter 20 - Seeing the Divine in Everything
When you see the divine in everything you do, and at every corner you
turn, that is when automatic manifestations will become a regular fixture in
your life.

What does it mean to see the divine in everything? It means making no

judgments between good or bad and never taking anything at face value.
You may see a homeless man panhandling and think to yourself, “I am so
glad that is not me!” Or you may see a successful businessman and say, “I
wish I could be like him!” Who is the one making these judgments? Since
the Universal truth is that we are all one and that there is only one… we are
as much the beggar as we are the businessman. There is only oneness.
When you see the divinity in both of them, you will recognize that there is
really no separation between you or them.

I often tell my readers to place little importance on the physical world

around them. As Jesus would say, “Wear the garments of the world lightly.”
Of course, pay attention to your worldly affairs and settle whatever needs to
be done. If you have a job, do it to the best of your abilities. If you have
bills to pay, make sure that you have the money to pay them. But beyond all
that, recognize that everything is this divine oneness in motion. At times,
the world may overwhelm you with its people and things, but our focus
should never be on those people or things. Our focus should always be
placed lightly on our sense of gentle but powerful awareness in the
background. Beyond any words, name, or form, that sense of I AM is a
gateway to NOT-MIND.
When you focus on that sense of awareness, you are not qualifying your
physical life experience with anything. You no longer identify yourself with
a name or a form. All your man-made identities are temporarily forgotten
for the moment. The more awareness you place on your awareness, or in
other words, the more you are aware of being aware, the less emotional
charge you will have on the worldly affairs around you. Your attention will
no longer be drawn to external things and events that are fleeting and
constantly changing. Instead, you will settle on the unchanging truth of your
being. This is the truth that is indestructible and indescribable.

Well, if life is all about centering ourselves on this sense of pure

awareness, then isn’t there nothing left for us to do? Here’s where the next
part of the teachings comes in. After you have established yourself in this
profound sense of presence and peace, then you will find yourself much
better equipped to deal with the external world around you. In fact, you will
not see the world as something “outside” of you. Instead, you will start to
experience it as a very intimate part of your own inner experience.
Remember the container analogy we used in the past few chapters? When
you see your own awareness as an infinite container that can encapsulate all
living experiences, good or bad, you realize that this container does not
move at all. The container remains still. It is so vast and infinite. It is the
contents of the container that seemingly move and dance with the light. Just
as the screen does not move, the movement of light on the screen creates
the illusion of moving pictures. However, the screen itself always remains
still, untouched by anything projected onto it.

It is the same with your sense of awareness. No matter what happens to

you as a person, your physical awareness, this sense of I AM, remains
unfettered. It is always there, still as pure as before. You can add thoughts
and emotions to this sense of I AM. For example, you can think that you are
attacked by someone. Still, even that would be a qualification added onto
the original sense of pure awareness. You can always return to that state of
pure awareness at any time.

When you return to the world with this newfound sense of awareness,
you realize that nothing really happens to you. Instead, things really happen
in you, while your sense of awareness just stays the way it is. All of these
things that happen are just part of the Universal dance and motion,
projected on the screen of awareness. This is not to say that they are not
“real,” but these things have no objective reality. This is why physical
reality is so malleable and can be shaped and changed at any time. We
project and experience it through our own sense of awareness. Our mind
and energetic patterns further influence and often complicate things. When
we take our minds out of the picture first, we stop projecting our
conditioned fears and worries on a situation. That is when we free things up
to shift into a new reality.

The shift does not have to be groundbreaking. It can be a minor, almost

imperceptible shift initially, but even that would be enough. A little shift in
the situation is all it takes for us to look at the situation differently. That sets
into motion the process of change and manifestations.

The mind complicates things by rehashing the same limited, fear-based

thoughts over and over again. How many times have you been tormented by
the same negative thoughts for weeks, months, years, or even decades on
end? Chances are unless you realize what is happening, the content of those
negative thoughts will change very little over time. It will be the same
thought repeated over and over again until it becomes so big and believable
to you. But there is no basis for those thoughts. You tend to repeat them
because they feel familiar to you, and you have become accustomed to the
way they feel in your body.

The way to break the chain of negative (or no) manifestations is to take a
completely new approach. First, withdraw your conscious attention from
these outward thoughts. For a while, these thoughts may still be running
through your head but do not engage or pay attention to them. They are just
passing through. They will fade away into the background in time to come
as you no longer identify with these thoughts. More specifically, you no
longer identify yourself as the thinker of these thoughts. They are just there,
but you are no longer the one thinking them.

Don’t waste time analyzing the contents of another person’s mind. Over
time, each individual has built up an identity and a set of beliefs to maintain
that identity. The individual conditionings unique to a person will cause
each of us to have our own conditioned minds. When we interact with each
other at the level of our egos, these conditioned minds clash. We want to be
right, or we want to feel respected. We may even take offense at things.

Whenever you find yourself in a situation like this, gently remind

yourself that your conditioned mind is at work (or play). We are trying to
understand or influence what the other mind is thinking or saying. Give all
of that up. You will be much happier if you withdraw your attention from
all of that and center it on your own personal sense of awareness. The sense
of awareness precedes any of this. Don’t try to figure out why this person is
acting as they do. Again, we are all run by our unconscious programming
until we become aware of what is happening. Don’t try to change the
person. Let the person think of you or be whatever he wants. Instead, you
can choose to respond in the best way possible by taking your mind out of
the picture.

Once, a colleague shouted at me and gave me a dressing down over a

seemingly minor issue. That made me very upset, and as my mind took
over, I felt increasingly offended and hurt by the incident. After a while, I
regained enough awareness to realize that the colleague was reacting based
on his own conditioned response to these situations. With this realization, I
no longer attempted to change him (since we were not in a therapy
situation), and I had no desire to “get even” with him. I allowed him to be
him while I responded in the best way possible. I kept future engagements
short and to the point of avoiding similar confrontations.

This does not mean that we stand up for any sort of abuse at the
workplace or at home. Sometimes, the most appropriate response could be
to tell the other person that his behavior is unacceptable. Sometimes it could
be to walk away. Whatever response you take, be sure that it comes from
awareness (the divine) and not from the separate ego-self that wants to
strike or hit back. Sometimes the divine may say that you need to hit back,
which is perfectly alright (but be sure it is not your ego masquerading as the
divine!) Your inner awareness will know the difference clearly when you
extract your mind thoroughly out of the picture.

There is a tendency for our ego selves to adopt a victim mentality. For
example, I can say that I was hurt and offended by this incident. If I allowed
this programming to stay with me, it would have grown bigger and bigger
in my mind. I would have believed the story a bit more each day. The
emotional charge is very likely to perpetuate itself in the form of another
encounter, whether with the same or another individual that matches those
frequencies. When you give up the belief that you can be hurt or offended,
then everything passes through you, and you become utterly unaffected by
anything. You become strong to everything that happens to you, and
nothing affects you! This position of inner strength is the most powerful
position one can be in. It is not a sense of superiority perpetuated by the ego
which says, “I am stronger than you.” Rather, this arises from the inner
realization that nothing can affect this infinite consciousness that you are.
Everything that happens passes right through you and is a momentary
flicker in the cosmic dance. There is no distinction between good or bad. As
the Indian Sage Sri Ramana Maharshi says, “Everything that is, is God.”
Chapter 21 – Your New Future Starts Now
How does one experience the divine in everything? It starts by seeing
that you ARE divine. We indeed have a limited physical lifespan in this
time-space reality, but there is no time to be spoken of in the realm of NOT-
MIND. In NOT-MIND, there is only eternity, and it is always now. If we
constantly remind ourselves of our limited years, then we will be placing
more focus on this mental limitation than on who we really are.

Live a divine life by realizing that everything you touch, everything in

your experience, every energetic intention you make is predicated on this
powerful conscious awareness. This is the consciousness that makes up
everything in the Universe, and you are it. There is nothing outside of this
infinite consciousness, so every physical action you take would not be
possible without this awareness. Relish in this realization and demonstrate it
to yourself each day. Take every physical action by superimposing and
connecting NOT-MIND to it. That instantly cuts out the analyzing, thinking
mind and brings your source energy intelligence into the picture. When
every action and intention of yours is powerfully backed by source
intelligence, you can be assured that every action you take will be the best
possible action. There will be no mistakes as there are no “mistakes” in this
Universe, except misperceptions by our limited thinking minds! Therefore,
you are at the best place you can possibly be, and nothing is ever holding
you back except your own mental thoughts.

NOT-MIND is synonymous with speed. You free yourself to be way

more efficient when you align your daily actions with NOT-MIND. This
book gets written effortlessly when I align myself with NOT-MIND to
communicate the message to you, just as how my work gets done efficiently
when I connect NOT-MIND with my work. The urge to procrastinate only
comes from habitual mind patterns. When the mind is taken out of the
picture, these negative mind patterns will no longer have any power over
us.
Chapter 22 - Embedding Manifestations in Your
Life
You might have heard the saying, “Your past does not define your
future.” While most take it as a motivational statement, there is actually
spiritual truth to it. The past does not define the future because past,
present, and future are mental constructs imposed by our limited minds. In
essence, there is only the eternal now. When we recognize that the past,
present, and future are only ways to make sense of and conceptualize our
physical lives, we see time for what it is—as a practical tool for sense-
making. The rest is up to you to define.

How many times have you said, “I like or don’t like to do this because I
am a ___ person.” I used to carry around this identity with me a lot. For
example, I don’t like to interact with others because I am a shy person. I
don’t like to voice my views because no one listens to me. Sometimes these
statements are used in the positive sense: “I always arrive early because I
believe in punctuality.”

While the positive statements are better than the negative ones, these
self-imposed statements and beliefs keep us stuck in the past. The shy
person will forever be a shy person. Likewise, the individual who does not
like to voice their views will rarely attempt to do so in future. But who
dictated all of that in the first place? Well, at some point in time, your mind
has made a choice and stuck to it. This choice can just as easily be changed,
right here and now.
Think about similar statements you have made in the past week. All of
them have very little basis for truth. You might have been a shy person
growing up, but that identity can just as easily be changed. You may resist
the process of change, but this does not mean that change cannot happen in
an instant.

Perhaps the greatest permission you can give yourself by reading this
book is that you have the absolute right to change at any point in time! If
you are unable or unwilling to give yourself that permission, then let me
give it to you! You can change this very moment, and you do not have to
ask for permission from anyone around you. This means giving up what
your family, friends, or co-workers will think. How they think is none of
your business! Remember that we cannot control the content of other
people’s limited minds, including their thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions of
you.

Starting today, you can shift into a whole new way of acting and being.
You can begin experiencing life in an entirely new way. Wouldn’t it be fun
to completely experience and live your life the way it is meant to be lived
for once? Up till this point, you may have believed that you are a
homemaker, an employee, an employer, or a mother to your children. Those
identities define your roles and responsibilities, but don’t let them define
you. You can begin to choose your state of being differently, starting from
this moment.

To do so, first let NOT-MIND take care of everything, even the process
of change. In fact, this whole process of change is also an illusion. It is just
the inner resistance and thoughts associated with change that is creating all
the turmoil. When you finally decide to let NOT-MIND take care of your
new limitless identity, then NOT-MIND will surprise you each step of the
way. Right now, resolve to have NOT-MIND express your infinite identity
beyond everything you have held in place or recognized before.

The mind is going to interfere in the beginning and say, “Oh no! I am
going to start acting berserk in front of everyone! My behavior is going to
start becoming out of control.” Notice who or what is saying that. In
realizing that it has to give up its self-created identities, the limited ego-
mind never lets go without putting up a fight. Recognize these thoughts as
stemming from the fear of dissolution and gently let them go. Someone who
is in touch with the infinite consciousness of the Universe will always act in
the right ways at the right time. Only the ego can act “out of control” as a
way of drawing attention to itself.

We see evidence of this in our daily news. Some individuals just cannot
seem to get out of the news! This happens at the local and international
levels, no matter where you look. Some individuals are so ego-driven that
they take all kinds of action to draw attention (whether consciously or
unconsciously) to themselves. This drama can be bypassed altogether when
you connect directly with NOT-MIND and give up the self-imposed identity
that is you. Even seemingly positive or innocuous identities are best given
up. For example, you may think that there is some merit in being polite,
honest, or spiritual. Give all of those up, as they are, after all, self-perceived
identities. What defines a polite person anyway? Is it a person who says
please and thank you? Is it someone who holds the door for others ten times
in a row? When you recognize all these games you have been playing with
yourself, you automatically give all of that up.
Allow yourself to be guided by NOT-MIND in every moment. NOT-
MIND is loving (because it is love) and non-judgmental. This means it is
not based on the ethical or moral standards of any religion or society. It is
just as it is, completely open, free from limitations and judgments. When
you live from the perspective of NOT-MIND, you too become an
expression of this loving oneness. The essential qualities of NOT-MIND
will permeate and fill your everyday life experience without you having to
reinforce or artificially impose it.

The person who has to repeatedly remind himself to be kind or

compassionate is not really kind or compassionate. He has become subject
to the moral norms and rules imposed by society. Life becomes restricting
when we think we have to live up to specific standards to be accepted by
others or God. We become unhappy because it goes against our true, infinite
nature. Instead, suppose we will first give up these man-made identities and
standards. Then we can be completely open to any experience that happens
in this moment. We will always respond in the most perfect ways for that
situation.

As you slowly integrate into your daily work or life situation, you will
find your state of inner awareness clouded by the mind instead of NOT-
MIND. This is to be expected since you have spent decades of your life
associating with your thinking mind instead of NOT-MIND. Therefore, the
mind comes back (or even dominates) from time to time. On the other hand,
when you read these words, you are increasingly associating with NOT-
MIND as these words and my energetic directions orient you to a new way
of being.
So the key is to be in touch with these teachings and this stateless state
often. At any time, if you forget or get carried away, just close your eyes
and center yourself for a moment. You can do it at any time in the course of
your day. If you are interacting with others and it is impossible to close your
eyes or be away, just superimpose NOT-MIND on the present situation for a
second or two. This happens quickly (just a couple of seconds) in terms of
our human perception of time, but the effect is infinite. You would have
touched every individual related to the situation at a deeper non-physical
level without having to say or do anything to resolve the situation. You can
do this no matter your physical relationship or hierarchy to the situation.
These tools are always at your disposal.

In time to come, you may develop such a newfound sense of awareness

that you no longer need to pause to center yourself during the day. You will
be eternally centered and strong from your position of Universal awareness.
Nothing that happens can knock you over, no matter the turmoil that is
happening on the outside. Others can be right in your face, and it will not
matter. Whatever happens will go right through you.

If you stick at this even longer, then people and events that bother you
start fading away from your life. They will no longer be there because you
no longer attract them, and they no longer have any power over you. When
the undesired falls away, then everything that appears in your life will be in
line with your deepest desires and destiny. You will have completed the
process of embedding automatic manifestations in your daily life.
This is an ongoing process. Sometimes we forget and let our minds take
over, but that is alright. We all have the power to let the mind go and
identify with NOT-MIND again. Sometimes we forget for even longer until
the mind takes over and makes a seeming mess of things. But, even that is
alright because everything is reversible. Physical conditions, illness, and
undesirable conditions can be reversed and restored to wholeness once with
allow NOT-MIND to deal with the situation. In fact, the longer we let the
mind deal with the situation, the lesser chance of resolving the situation
because the mind only knows what it has done in the past. It knows of no
higher alternative out of a situation.

As you go out into the world around you, take it very lightly and let
NOT-MIND deal with the minds of others. Observe their thoughts, words,
and deeds. Then let those flow past you with no negative effect. Only when
you impose your mind and labels on those actions, do you get thrown off
balance. Receive everything openly as NOT-MIND would receive it, handle
it as NOT-MIND would handle it, and respond as NOT-MIND would
respond. How would you respond in any situation? There is no need for
extensive planning or preparations. When you give up the need to be
prepared, NOT-MIND will often surprise you and provide you with the
most appropriate things to say or do at any moment. You will also be
communicating with all parties involved at a non-physical and non-verbal
level. This is the most effective form of communication since you also
bypass their thinking minds and go directly to source, so there is no need to
deal with any emotional reactions or responses. This is the most perfect and
efficient way of functioning in the world.
If your time is not spent engaging with others and clearing things up,
what do you spend with the rest of your time? This is when you have all the
time in the world to enjoy the fruits of your manifestations. Enjoy the
pleasant physical surroundings that you have created for yourself. Enjoy the
wealth and nice things that you have manifested. There is no need to justify
how you manifested all this stuff or why you should have them. All that
matters is that you enjoy them fully without reservations. As you play in
this wonderful time-space reality that you have created for yourself, more
goodness is added to your experience until your life becomes just the best
never-ending experience possible! When you stop to label and notice the
seemingly undesirable portions, they become magnified, such that the flow
of pleasant things becomes interrupted.

So, here’s what I want you to do as we end our time together:

(1) Live life fully from NOT-MIND. Spend more and more time each
day enjoying the goodness in life from the perspective of NOT-
MIND.

(2) If any situation feels like it needs changing, condense it into a few
words but do not engage it with your mind.

(3) Let NOT-MIND handle it by making a quick, energetic direction.

Then go back to enjoying your life!

(4) Judge no-thing and bless everything as pure awareness.

(5) Repeat for automatic manifestations!
