This document describes an online attendance management system created by three group members. The system allows teachers to take attendance for classes that is stored and can be accessed by students. It was created using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL. The purpose is to computerize the traditional method of taking attendance and generate reports. It has modules for administration to create user accounts and a user module for taking attendance and generating reports.

INTRODUCTION
 Attendance Management System is a software developed
for daily student attendance in schools, collages and
institutes. If facilitates to access the attendance in a particular
Class. information of a particular student

 The information is sorted by the operators, which will be


provided by the teacher for a particular class. This
system will also help in evaluating attendance eligibility
criteria of a student.
An online attendance management system is an innovative way
to monitor and track the attendance of student / employee.
Also this provides a transparency in the system so that each
student can view their attendance from anywhere anytime.
As soon as a teacher or a student joins the institutions , he/she
is requested to sign up to the online attendance management
system. After this ,admin is required to review and approved
their account activation.As their account gets approved , they
can access to their account.

The scope of the project is the system on which the


software is installed, i.e. the project is developed as
desktop application, and it will work for a particular
institute. But later on the project can be modified to

OVERVIEW
Attendance management system basically has two main models
for proper functioning –

 First module is admin which has right for creating space for
new batch. Any entry of new faculty , Upadating in subject if
necessary , and sending notice .

 Second module is handled by the user which can be a faulty


or an operator . User has a right of making daily attendance ,
generating report.

 Attendance can be taken in two ways :


 1. On the basis of
subject and month
 2. On the basis of class
