አጠቃላይ ዓላማ ፡- ተማሪዎች ይህንን ትምህርት ተምረው ሲጨርሱ ፡-
፩. የሃይማኖት ምንነት ይገነዘባሉ
፪. የሃይማኖትን አስፈላጊነት ያብራራሉ
፫. የሃይማኖትን አጀማመር፣የክርስትና ሃይማኖትን ፍጹምነት ይገነዘባሉ
፬. ምስጢረ ጥምቀት፣ቁርባን እና ትንሳኤ ሙታንን በሚገባ ይገነዘባሉ
፭. ሌሎች ቤተ እምነቶች ከኦርቶዶክሳዊት ተዋህዶ ቤተክርስቲያን ጋር ያላቸውን የትምህርተ ሃይማኖት
ልዩነት ይገነዘባሉ
