needed to construct a box-and-whisker plot from the Excel worksheet provided and enter
those numbers below.

What type of Test Statistic did you use and population standard deviation unknown; t-test
why?
Value of Test Statistic 2.12197
P-value 0.02125
Critical Value 1.69913
Conclusion: Is the claim supported? Why Since the p-value (0.02125) is below the
or why not? significance level (α) of 0.05, we may
definitely reject the null hypothesis and
establish a significant difference in averages.
The company provides speeds over 12 Mbps.
5. Evaluate the results of the hypothesis test and communicate the suggested solutions based
on those results. (This section should be 1–2 pages). Provide the following discussion
based on the conclusion of your test:

a. Provide a detailed explanation to your supervisor of how the results address
the concern.
In my role as a network engineer for a prominent broadband provider. Customers have begun to
express dissatisfaction with the company's download speed, which is equivalent to or below the
minimum claimed speed of twelve (12) Mbps. I conducted a random sampling of 30 customers
and performed speed tests on them. The minimum and maximum download speeds are 10.51 and
14.79, respectively. The download speed range is 4.28. The standard deviation is 1.1013 and the
mean download speed is 12.43 Mbps. The mean discrepancy in download speed is 1.1013.
The download speed exceeds 12 Mbps, contrary to the boss's belief that it is more than that
value. The velocity exceeds 12 Mbps. The boss was accurate. Customers express dissatisfaction
with the company's download speed, which falls below or matches the guaranteed minimum
speed of twelve (12) Mbps. As a result, their complaints are dismissed.
b. What is your suggested solution based on the results?
Our organization provides downloading rates above 12 Mbps, notwithstanding any client claims.
Given that the p value (0.02125) is below the significance threshold of 0.05, we reject the null
hypothesis and conclude that the average speed provided by our firm exceeds 12 Mbps.
c. What decisions should be made based on the results? What should the next steps
be?

Our investigation indicates that the download speed exceeds 12 Mbps. Therefore, it is essential
for customers to reboot their devices and remove any unnecessary applications and programs.
Disconnect all other devices, download each item individually, and scan for malware.
Additionally, update the firmware, drivers, and cookies. In order to enable them to download
data at rates exceeding 12 Mbps.
