Circular - Extent Validation

The Chief Commissioner of Land Administration issued instructions regarding recording land extents with 3 decimal places in acres in all databases during online subdivisions. This is to address issues with area validation and integration of online subdivisions with other land records. Specifically, extents of individual parcels will be rounded to decimals (e.g. 1.111 acres rounded to 1.111 acres) and the total extent before and after subdivision must be the same within 0.001 acres (e.g. 1.111 acres can be rounded to 1.112 acres or 1.110 acres but recorded as 1.111 acres). These modifications and decimal extent recording must be implemented in phase 1 resurveyed villages and for all future records.
