AZON TEX PRO SERVICE MANUAL Parts & Description
1.1. Overview
Azon Direct to Garment printers (DTG) adopts digital printing mode
that can be used as a substitute of screen printing and transfer print-
ing. They obtain color printing without plate making or repeated color
register, while are highly waterproof and wearing resistant. With Azon
DTG you can print beautiful full-color prints on light and dark coloured
textiles like: T-shirts, towels, jeans, aprons, bags or else, with superb
adhesion of ink. It is very easy to use and has a high profit return.
Azon Tex Pro is cost effectively digital printing system that contains 4
CMYK and 4 whites with an intelligent laser beam print head protec-
tion. Azon water-based white ink is specially developed for printing on
dark garments by creating a solid surface on the printing area before
applying the CMYK inks. This white layer is digitally applied directly
onto the desired location on the garment, allowing to immediately apply
the CMYK colors.

Pump Unit
Ink is sucked from head nozzles by having the pump driven through the
cap (closed). This performs normal ink absorption, initial ink charge,
cleaning, etc. Waste ink from the pump is sent to the Maintenance Tank
through 2 small pipes.
Head Cleaner
A structure of offsetting rubber and felt is used. By wiping/rubbing, ink
and dirt adhering to the head nozzle surface is brushed off.
Cap Assembly
When not printing, the Print Head (should) rest on the Cap Assembly to
ensure that the nozzles don’t clog. Also, the Print Head is in the capped
position during ink charging, cleaning, and so on.
Flushing Box
This receives ink ejected during flushing (dummy printing). The flushed
ink flows through the pipe to the Maintenance Tank.

AZON TEX PRO SERVICE MANUAL Parts & Description
     Operation Explanation
•This is the operation where the head is filled with ink for the
first time. When the first ink cartridge is inserted (after all 8
colors have been inserted), the initial ink charge operation is
                      performed automatically.
 Initial Ink Charge
                      • The initial charge flag is set when the printer is shipped
from the factory, then after this operation, the initial filling
flag is reset. The initial charge flag is also set after the “Input
                      Rank” is run.
                      • In order to prevent the viscosity of the ink inside the head
nozzles from increasing, the ink inside the Flushing Box is
                      flushed out.
     Flushing
                      • Flushing is done when paper is set, when printing from
the standby state, during continuous printing, during paper
                      Eject, during paper cutting, etc.
The Carriage Unit is moved from right to left along the
rubber side of the wiper (the right half of the Wiper Blade)
                      incorporated in the
Pump Unit so that the head surface is rubbed with the rub-
Wiping Operation ber of the wiper.
                      Purpose:
                      • Before ink suction, removes the ink and other substances
                      adhering to the head surface.
                      • Ensures close contact of the cap
The Carriage Unit is moved from left to right along the felt
side of the wiper (the left half of the Wiper Plate) incorporat-
ed in the Pump Unit so that the head surface is rubbed with
the felt of the wiper. For easy removal of adhering substanc-
es, the nozzle surface is wetted before rubbing operation by
    Rubbing
suction of a small amount of ink.
    Operation
                      Purpose:
                      • Removes ink and other substances adhering strongly to
                      the
                      Head surface.
                      • Ensures close contact of the cap.
In order to prevent the ink viscosity from increasing while the
Capping printhead nozzles are not used, a rubber cap is placed over
the Print Head nozzles when entering a shutdown operation.
                                                                                                 Page 22

5.3. Laser Adjustment
Laser has transmitter (the beam) and receiver. It is much better to move
transmitter up (if you need to make sensors higher because they stop
the table too soon) or down (if they stop the table too late).
2. Use a 3 mm Allen type screw to move laser up or down (2). You will
move the laser up (clockwise screw rotation) if you need to make it stop at
lover distance, and move it down (counterclockwise screw rotation) if it needs
to stop at higher distance.
If the screw doesn’t move the laser, you can loosen it and then gently
move holder by hand.
3. It is best that transmitter laser beam hits receiver laser sensor lense 1
in the middle. Try to adjust the laser to achieve this. Also, it is best that
laser is at same height from left to right side of the table.
4. (OPTIONAL) If you can’t adjust the laser to hit the middle, the nut is
too loose or it is too much out from holder you can use key 17 to rotate
the nut and move it. Sometimes you will need to use another key 17
(alternative is French key or Needle-nose pliers) to tighten or loosen
the nut. Be careful while moving the nut because laser is very sensitive
and you could lose aim to receiving end resulting in extension of time
required for adjustment.
5. (OPTIONAL) in some cases you will need to lover the receiver sensor.
