Asset Installation Guide for Dummies

By Liindy

(I tried to make it as easy to understand as possible for people with no unity experience)

Alternatively watch the video guide, but the video guide does not actually explain the steps like this one
does.

Things you need:

You must have Poiyomi Toon shader version 7.3.050 (newer versions should be fine).
You can download it free here: https://github.com/poiyomi/PoiyomiToonShader/releases

You must get Avatar 3.0 Manager v2.0.6 (newer versions should be fine)
You can download it free here: https://github.com/VRLabs/Avatars-3.0-Manager

You must also have an avatar ready to install it on, this guide will not teach you how to upload an avatar,
only how to attach the Revolver correctly to it.
Finally, you must have the “RevolverUnity.unitypackage” file ready

Step 1 - Importing
Step 2 – Armature placement

Step 3 – Placement and resizing for your avatar

*even if you did not scale the asset, if your avatar scale is not exactly 1, this may be misaligned and you
need to put it back like seen here:

If the Revolver_Parent is correctly inside the handle/you did not resize, skip until next step
Step 3.5 – Placement
Step 4 – Changing texture(s)
Step 5 – Merging Animations and parameters
Step 6 Final – menu buttons

You can now upload your avatar.

Here is a reminder of how the gesture controls work

 Thumbs up to fire.
 Reload by opening the chamber -> pointing finger inside the chamber to push it out
 You can close the chamber with peace sign while it is out.
 While chamber is out, thumbs up with the hand that is not holding the gun to reload.
 To “fan the hammer” you must have a full chamber, then rocker gesture with opposite hand while
you thumbs up to fire.
 If you enable Revolver Tricks, you can:
 Throw gun in the air with peace sign.
 Throw gun to oppose it hand with finger gun.
 Open hand to spin it.
 Open both your hands to drop the gun in world. Pick it back up by grabbing it with a fist.
 Enable reaper reload, and then opening your hand instead throws the gun away and spawns a fully
loaded new one in your hand.
