SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT AS BARANGAY SECRETARY OF BARANGAY MAGSAYSAY
By virtue of the powers vested in me in section 394 (a) Chapter V, Book No. III of the Local
Government code 1991, you are hereby appointed as Barangay Secretary of Barangay Magsaysay,
Bobon Northern Samar. As such you will perform your duties and responsibilities as Barangay
Secretary pursuant to section 394 (d) as follows;
a. Keep custody of all records of the Sangguniang Barangay and the Barangay Assembly
Meeting;
b. Prepare and keep the minutes of all meetings of the Sangguniang Barangay and the
Barangay Assembly;
c. Prepare a list of members of the barangay assembly, and have the same posted in
conspicuous places within the barangay;
d. Assist in the preparation of all necessary forms for the conduct of barangay elections,
initiatives, referenda or plebiscite, in coordination with the COMELEC.
e. Assist the Municipal Civil Registrar in the registration of births, deaths and marriages;
f. Keep an updated record of all inhabitants of the barangay containing the following items
of information; name, address, place and date of birth, sex, civil status, citizenship,
occupation, and such other items of information as may be prescribed by law or
ordinances;
g. Submit a report on the actual number of barangay residents of often as may be required
by the Sangguniang Barangay and;
h. Exercise such other powers and functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinances.
Further, Section 403, Book III of the same code provides that you will concurrently serve as
the secretary of the Lupong Tagapamayapa of the barangay. As such, you will record the results of
the mediation proceedings before the Punong Barangay and submit a report to the Municipal Court.
You will also receive and keep the records of proceedings submitted by the conciliation panels or
the Pangkat ng Tagapagkasundo.
Moreover, you will perform specific functions as directed and/or advised by any circulars and
memoranda issued by National Government Agencies such as DILG, or any authorities. You will
receive a corresponding honorarium relative to your duties and responsibilities as Barangay
Secretary of this barangay.
Lastly, please be informed that your continued appointment is conditioned upon your satisfactory
performance based on your first six (6) months in service, and every six (6) months thereafter. Otherwise,
this appointment shall be REVOKED, after observance of due process.

A RESOLUTION CONCURRING THE APPOINTMENT OF BARANGAY SECRETARY OF
BARANGAY MAGSAYSAY, BOBON NORTHERN SAMAR
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 394 of RA 7160 the Barangay Secretary shall be
appointed by the Punong Barangay with the concurrence of the Sangguniang Barangay;
WHEREAS, JESUSITA B. MARTIR is appointed by the Punong Barangay, MARGARITA
B. NUQUE, as the Barangay Secretary subject for the concurrence of this Body;
WHEREAS, JESUSITA B. MARTIR possesses all the qualifications and none of the
disqualifications to the position as the new Barangay Secretary of this barangay;
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Barangay Kagawad HON. CESAR T. PINCA, JR, duly
seconded by Barangay Kagawad HON. EDMUNDO C. PAREDES, SR.;
BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS RESOLVED, that the above appointed Barangay Secretary of
Barangay Magsaysay, Bobon Northern Samar, is hereby CONCURRED;

NUQUE, as the Barangay Treasurer subject for the concurrence of this Body;
WHEREAS, LAYDA B. MORENO possesses all the qualifications and none of the
disqualifications to the position as the new Barangay Treasurer of this barangay;
