NADINE AND SULTHON

Once upon a time there was a child named Nadine. Nadine was a kind,
intelligent and very diligent teenager. She grew up in a family with parents who
worked from morning to night. Nadine lived every day with her nanny, and it
seemed that the attention she received was never enough. Nadine did everything
she could, from winning academic achievements, being the best student in her
school to asking to spend time for recreation with them. But it was all in vain.
With not enough attention at home, Nadine began to look for it.
When Nadine entered high school, there was an older brother who liked
her. Nadine thought such things only happened in movies, but it really happened
to her. From asking how she was doing, to trivial questions like "have you eaten
yet?" Nadine felt like I was finally getting attention for once, I felt like I mattered
and that someone cared about me. Nadine became comfortable with the outside
attention and she needed it like a drug to make her feel that she was human, that
she was valuable, that she was worthwhile and wanted Such relationships came
and went, and Nadine continued to seek that attention from the people who came
into her life. It was never enough and she was addicted to the basic questions and
attention from men, which she never got from her home and family.
Because Nadine felt cared for, she was invited to hang out with her seniors
and invited to her seniors' hangout. When Nadine was at the hangout she was
treated to a very strange sight for her, she saw that her senior hangout was so free.
such as drinking alcohol, drugs, and many other things that she just discovered
while she was there. He was offered to drink alcohol, but he refused. The group
did not accept the refusal, and some of them said "hey fat, black skin, ugly, if
you're not with us does anyone want you?" so someone pulled Nadine and
immediately forced her to drink the alcoholic beverage until she lost
consciousness. When she lost consciousness, Nadine was threatened by her
seniors that she should never tell anyone about her and her friends' behavior. And
Nadhine only obeyed, because if she violated it she got her punishment from her.
Until she was placed on the side of a lonely road by her seniors' friends.
Nadine was devastated, she was lonely, she had nowhere to go. Nadine
went home alone, she cried alone in her room because she didn't know who to talk
to. Nadine's days at school were spent being anti-social, she was always alone
when her friends were having fun. It feels like Nadine wants to disappear, and
erase all the memories that happened at that time.
When Nadine was alone suddenly there was a classmate who looked at
her, he was Sulthon. Sulthon is a smart and very good student in his class, who
had been watching Nadine alone. Sulthon invited Nadine to talk and joke until
Nadine was carried away in the situation. Until finally Sulthon invited Nadine to
talk about why Nadine had been alone and did not want to hang out with her
friends. Nadine, who felt that she needed a friend to talk to at that time, finally let
out all the problems she had been hiding. Nadine cried when telling all her life
problems that had happened so far to Sulthon, Sulthon who heard it became
concerned. He calmed the Nadine patiently and gave her the motivation to forget
what had happened, and start a new life. Until making Nadine realize that all this
time she was wrong. And since then Nadine and Sulthon have become close
friends.
After the incident was over and several times told stories with Sulthon.
Nadine always remembered a word or two that Sulthon said where he told the
story. This sentence has always stuck in Nadine's head to this day
"You are a smart person with many creative ideas. But you don't know how to
convey them, this is what makes people think of you as boring and dry," he said.
From that sentence, Nadine was moved to start a new life at school, with
determination nadine wanted to change her life. Nadine said to herself that I
believe in myself that my past could be that bad, but only I can change my future
for the better.
