The VSL Funnel

The VSL funnel is the simplest funnel consisting of an opt-in landing page, a value video, a calendar page, a survey page, and a success page. It is recommended for starting because it is easy to set up and generates high volume leads at a low cost, though the leads may be lower quality. While effective for testing and iteration, it may have scaling issues due to lower quality leads. Resources for learning and implementing this funnel are provided.

The VSL funnel (cheatsheet)

What is it?

The VSL funnel is the most simple funnel and the one we want to start off with before
graduating to the more advanced funnels. The VSL funnel consists of a landing page where
people opt-in, a value video where we irritate the problem and add value, a calendar scheduling
page, a survey page and a success page. Sometimes we refer to it as the fragmentation funnel.

When should we use it?

This is the funnel that you start with because it's the simplest, easiest, cheapest funnel to set up.
It also generates leads and strategy sessions at the lowest cost and highest volume which
makes it an excellent vehicle for testing and iterating in the early stages.

What are it’s pros and cons?

Pros: Easy, effective, fast, low tech, cheap, generates high volume at a low cost.
Cons: It produces lower quality leads and applications which is an issue at scale.

What’s the process & the math?
