1 Ensure that all safety regulations are perfectly complied.
2 Ensure that the craft are wearing safety gears specially isolated gloves for (230 VAC
       inst) & isolated safety shoe.
3 Obtain and fulfill the necessary work permits (HOT), and inform the operator before
       starting the job.
4 The instrument tools shall be IS classified & isolated to prevent electric chock (powered
       inst 230 VAC)
5 Consider continuous gas leak test around the area.
6 Confirm using P&ID / Logic diagram whether instrument is shut down item or not. If it is
shutdown item, proceed the procedure for override switch under acceptance from
       operation and Instrument Maintenance Supervisor.
7 CONFIRM THAT THE RELATED CONTROL VALVE ISOLATION
VALVES COMPLETELY ISOLATED AND REVIEW THE ISOLATION

1 Inform operation that the I/P CONVERTER
        to be mainted.
NOTE: EXECUTED WITH IT’S VALVE OR
        POSITIONER.
2 Verify details of the loop sketch, and check

loop drawings updated with the corrections.
3 Record the valve fail safe condition on the
attached calibration data sheet. Perform a
    visual inspection of tubing, wiring,
    instrument air, connection, etc…, applicable
    to each installation.
4 Isolate the converter and connect up
    Pressure test equipments the milliamp
source to the input and test
     Pressure gauge to the output.
5 Carry out function test of I/P CONVERTER
    verifying the output.
5 Adjust the milliamp source to supply a 4mA
signal (as indicated on the multimeter) to
    the converter.
6 Note the reading on the test pressure
gauge. If necessary turn the `zero'
adjustment until the output pressure (as
indicated on the test pressure gauge) is 0.2
    barg.
7 Adjust he milliamp source to supply a 20mA
input signal (as indicated on the multimeter)
    to the converter.
8 Note the reading on the test pressure
gauge. If necessary, turn the `Span'
adjustment until the output pressure (as
indicated on the test pressure gauge) is 1
    barg.
9 Repeat Steps 5 to 8 until both the 0% and
    100% readings are correct.
6 WHERE THE GENERAL CONDITION OF
ANY PART OF THE FUNCTION TEST IS
    UNSATISFACTORY, RECTIFY ALL
FAULTS AND THEN REPEAT ALL STEPS
    OF THE FUNCTION TEST.
7 Take converter output readings at 0%, 25%,
    50%, 75% and 100% of full range
Inputs both rising and falling. In the table
