• Describe product overview
• Describe the components that make up the payments hub
• Identify different types of products that can be handled in the payment hub
• Show how to capture SWIFT payments, book transfers and Incoming Transfers.
• Use some of the standard enquiries and reports related to the payment hub

Temenos Payments Hub (TPH) is a universal payments hub solution. It has a Universal Payments Process
which enables centralization of all payment operations under a central infrastructure to support multiple
payment formats and global payment mechanisms. The payment hub solution provides banks with a
single solution to configure their payment processing for all customers, specifying different processing
for high and low care customers by parameterization without requiring any software changes.

We need Accounts to handle various customer type transactions say for movement of funds from debit accounts to
credit accounts. We need to have Customer records before opening Customer type of accounts. Nostro accounts will
be needed to transfer money externally using Agency arrangements. Delivery in T24 refers to generation of Advices or
Messages. Delivery is an integral part of Core in T24 which is closely linked to transactions input through Payment Hub
module

TPH lowers the cost of ownership, by increasing efficiency, reducing maintenance costs and its associated risks.
Payments hub enables banks to provide their customers a harmonized payment experience by offering 360°
view of payments in real time. It enables supervision and centralized control of liquidity, allowing for better cash
management for financial institutions and their customers

Overview
The Temenos Payment Hub is designed to process domestic and International payments in one solution in ay region as defined
by analysts as “a vision for the payment architecture”. Rules and data-driven approach allows instant changes.

• Highly configurable to process any domestic and international payments in one solution in any region.
ARCHITECTURE
The image in the next slide shows the architecture of the Temenos Payment Hub (TPH). TPH is a universal solution that
processes payments from any channel, any type, any format for optimum STP. TPH caters to all the below requirements:
The payment hub solution provides banks with a single solution to configure their payment processing for high and low
care customers by parameterization without requiring any software changes.
Internally, payments can be made to or from a Customer’s account or an internal account. It could involve transferring
money from one customer account to another customer account.

DEPENDENCIES
Payments is fully integrated with several products of Temenos in-house. Key products: Compliance through PSD2 APIs and
other Banking APIs. Infinity for Retail and Business banking payments. Analytics and Business Intelligence. Financial Crime and
Mitigation. Payment Order for initiation and tracking. Payments Auto Repair.

Temenos Payment Hub process payments based on the flow diagram given in this slide. When a
transaction received is received, t starts with acceptance and then mapping and it goes on. Some of the
components can be skipped based on the requirements from the bank.

The message acceptance component is responsible for parsing a received message and determining whether
the format of the message is acceptable in the payment hub

The Message Mapping component performs the mapping of all payment messages in TPH (Eg. SWIFT,
Standing Order and Clearing Payments).

Message mapping component provides a framework for the transformation of payment messages from the
native format of the channel into a neutral format for mapping.

Every payment in TPH is assigned a weight. There are two types of weight assigned to every payment:
High-Level weight and Specific weight.

TPH determines the ultimate beneficiary of the payment is in the processing bank’s own book or not. Own Account
determination checks both customer and bank transfer type of payments.
