Study on Italian Culture:
Language:
Italian is the official language of Italy, and 93% of population are native Italian
speakers. Around 50% of population speak a regional dialect as mother tongue.
Many dialects are mutually unintelligible and thus considered by linguists as
separate languages, but are not officially recognized. There are a number of dialects
of the language spoken in the country, including Sardinian, Friulian, Neapolitan,
Sicilian, Ligurian, Piedmontese, Venetian and Calabrian. Milanese is also spoken in
Milan. Other languages spoken by native Italians include Albanian, Bavarian,
Catalan, Cimbrian, Corsican, Croatian, French, German, Greek, Slovenian and
Walser.

Religion:
Approximately 74% of Italians identify as Roman Catholic. The Catholic Church is
headquartered in the State of Vatican City, a nation-state located in the center of
Rome. The country also has a growing Muslim immigrant community. Muslim,
agnostic and atheist make up the other 26 percent of the population.

Art & Architecture:

Italy is known for its considerable architectural achievements, such as the
construction of aqueducts, temples and similar structures during ancient Rome, the
founding of the Renaissance architectural movement in the late-14th to 16th
century, and being the homeland of Palladianism, a style of construction which
inspired movements such as that of Neoclassical architecture, and influenced the
designs which noblemen built their country houses all over the world, notably in the
United Kingdom, Australia and the United States of America during the late-17th to
early 20th centuries.Florence, Venice and Rome are home to many museums, but
art can be viewed in churches and public buildings. Most notable is the ceiling of the
Sistine Chapel of the Vatican, painted by Michelangelo sometime between 1508 and
1512.

Study on Italian Culture:
Tourism:
Italy, a European country with a long Mediterranean coastline, has left a powerful
mark on Western culture and cuisine. Its capital, Rome, is home to the Vatican as
well as landmark art and ancient ruins. The floating Market of Venice is top listed
tourist attraction in Italy. Pompei City of Naples Metropoliton in Italy which is famous
for ancient Italian ruins is also a tourist attraction.Tourists, on one hand, love to
enjoy amazing the Roman ruins of Pompeii, Rome, and Herculaneum, and on the
other, can't resist visiting Venice and Tuscany for their romantic appeal. The country
is also known for its natural attractions and scenic landscapes that transport you to
another world.

FOOD:
Italian cuisine has a great variety of different ingredients which are commonly used,
ranging from fruits, vegetables, grains, cheeses, meats and fish. In northern Italy,
fish (such as cod, or baccalà), potatoes, rice, corn (maize), sausages, pork, and
different types of cheese are the most common ingredients.

Sicily and Sardinia.Officially spring is during the months of March, April and May in

Instrumental and vocal classical music is an iconic part of Italian identity, spanning
experimental art music and international fusions to symphonic music and opera.
Opera is integral to Italian musical culture, and has become a major segment of
popular music.Italian music has been one of the supreme expressions of that art in
Europe: the Gregorian chant, the innovation of modern musical notation in the 11th
century, the troubadour song, the madrigal, and the work of Giovanni Pierluigi da
Palestrina and Claudio Monteverdi all form part of Italy's proud musical heritage,

Design Concept
My theme is Colloseum. The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian
Amphitheatre, is an ancient Roman amphitheater located in the center of
Rome, Italy. Constructed of concrete and sand, it was the largest
amphitheater ever built, capable of holding up to 80,000 spectators.
Commissioned by Emperor Vespasian of the Flavian dynasty, it was
completed in AD 80 by his successor, Titus. The Colosseum was primarily
used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as animal hunts,
mock sea battles, and executions. It stood as a symbol of the grandeur of
the Roman Empire and its architectural and engineering prowess. Over
time, earthquakes and looting took their toll on the structure, but it
remains a popular tourist attraction and an iconic symbol of ancient Rome's
cultural heritage.
