TORNADO POTATO
INTRODUCTION
Potato Tornado is a delicious snack made from a spiral-cut whole potato that has been deep-
fried and then seasoned with things like onion, cheese, or honey. It looks like a French Fries that
have been tornadoed or twisted. This unique and innovative snack has gained popularity across
the globe and has become a favorite among consumers of all ages.

PROCEDURES
1.) Prepare all ingredients and tools needed.
2.) Wash the potatoes and peel them. Slice off one end of the potato to make a flat surface.
3.) Insert a skewer or chopstick into the center of the flat end of the potato, and carefully push it
through to the other end.
4.) Using a sharp knife, carefully cut the potato into a spiral shape, starting at the top and slicing
down towards the skewer or chopstick. Make sure to keep the thickness of the spiral consistent.
5.) Carefully spread out the spiral potato along the skewer or chopstick, and season it with salt,
pepper, and your choice of seasoning.
6.) Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a pot on the stove until it reaches 375°F.
7.) Carefully lower the spiral potato into the hot oil using the skewer or chopstick, and fry it for
2-3 minutes, or until it is golden brown and crispy.
8.) Remove the potato from the oil using tongs or a slotted spoon, and place it on a paper towel-
lined plate to remove any excess oil.
9.) Serve the potato tornado hot, and enjoy! You can also serve it with dipping sauce, such as
ketchup or mayo.

o Vegetable peeler (optional)
o Deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot
o Slotted spoon or spider strainer
o Paper towels or a wire cooling rack.
PROCEDURES:
1.) Prepare all ingredients and tools needed.
2.) Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips. You can do this with a sharp knife or a slicer.
3.) Soak the potato strips in a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes. This will remove some of
the starch and make the fries crispier.
4.) Drain the potato strips and pat them dry with paper towels.
5.) Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot until it reaches 375°F (190°C).
6.) Working in batches, add the potato strips to the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes or until golden
brown and crispy.
7.) Use a slotted spoon or a wire mesh strainer to remove the fries from the oil and transfer them
to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
8.) Season the fries with salt (optional) and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

2.) Cut the melon in half and remove the seeds with a spoon.
3.) Cut the melon into small chunks and put them in a blender or food processor.
4.) Add 1 cup of water and blend until smooth.
5.) If desired, add 1/2 cup of sugar and blend again until well mixed.
6.) Pour the juice through a strainer to remove any pulp or seeds.
7.) Chill the juice in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until ready to serve.
8.) When ready to serve, pour the chilled juice into glasses filled with ice cubes.
