ABFUYOG ISKWELA 2023: BRIGADA ESKWELA IMPLEMENTATION

All Other Personnel Concerned

1. The Department of Education, Schools Division of Kalinga announces the conduct

of the Brigada Eskwela Program starting August 14 to August 19, 2023
in pursuance to DepEd Order 21, s. 2023.

2. Relative to this, all School Heads are hereby directed to establish partners to
maximize participation of partners, LGUs, NGAs, Alumni, Private Sectors, private
individuals, community, parents, and other volunteers in the conduct of the
Brigada Eskwela to ensure readiness of learning spaces for the opening of classes.

3. The Division Brigada Kick Off is scheduled on August 14, 2023 to be hosted by
Macutay – Palao National High School. It will be participated by the Division
personnel, all School Heads of Rizal, and other volunteers from external partners.

4. Coinciding with the Division Kick Off activity on the same date will be the School
Level Brigada Kick Off which will simultaneously start at 7:00 AM.

5. All School Heads including Teachers – in – charge and PSDSs are enjoined to
attend a virtual Meeting on August 8, 2023 at 9:00 AM via google meet. The
link will be sent through the SDO Kalinga Official Group Chat.

6. The following schedule shall be followed in the implementation.

7. There will be a Partnership Search to be conducted in the Division level to

recognize the initiatives of schools in their partnership efforts in making the
Brigada implementation including the Binnadang Learning Recovery thru the
National Learning Camp successful. A separate issuance on this matter will be
released as soon as the office receives the guidelines from the national level.

8. Teaching personnel shall be entitled to earn vacation service credits arising from
their active involvement in the Brigada Eskwela. Likewise, non-teaching personnel
are entitled to be granted Compensatory Time – Off (CTO) for all services they
rendered during weekends.

10. Expenses to be incurred in the conduct of the activity at the school level will be
charged against school funds and expenses for the Division implementation of
Brigada Eskwela Kick Off shall be charged against PSF – BPLP funds, subject to
the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
