2. Key terms around Facebook ads
Ad account : Every facebook account is automatically assigned an ad account. Go to
your profile icon, then ‘Ads Manager’ to see your personal ad account. The ad
account is the tool we use to manage ads, pay for, and run all advertising campaigns.
Ad copy : Copywriting is the act of writing text for the purpose of advertising or other
forms of marketing. The ad copy (sales copy) is the written content that aims to
persuade the prospects to take a particular action.
Ad Campaign : An ad campaign is a set of advertisements (ads) that revolve around
a single message and intended to achieve a particular goal. E.g a brand awareness
campaign, Smart Club campaign, The A.I Summit Crash Course, page likes. Several
ads can exist within a campaign
Business Manager : The Business Manager is like the central hub where you
manage all Facebook marketing activity in one place including Facebook Pages, ad
accounts or apps all in one place. It also lets you easily share access to assets across
your team and external partners/agencies
Ad creative : The ad creatives are all the visual and text elements of your ad. This
includes the headline, text, call-to-action and image or video. This is everything the
audience sees in the ad

3. Tools & assets you need for FB ads
Business Manager: Where you manage all Facebook marketing activity in one place.
Facebook Pages, ad accounts or apps all in one place. It also lets you easily share
access to assets across your team and external partners/agencies
Ad account: The ad account is where you’d run your campaign. The ad account is
the tool we use to manage ads, pay for, and run all advertising campaigns. You can
have multiple ad accounts within one business manager
Facebook Page: The page represents your brand and it’s where you’d run your
campaigns from. e.g Arrey Bate , ARREYB Media,
Domain: If you’re running ads to a website, Facebook now requires you to have your
domain verified. It’s a piece of code inserted into the header of your website and
that’s all
Payment Method: You’re going to need a valid card which you will connect to your
ad account under the ‘payment” option. That’s where Facebook deducts the ad
spend
Pixel: Simple put, the pixel is a code you add to your website which helps to track
ALL your visitors (All the money is in the retargetting through the pixel)
4. Creating A Facebook Page
● Name
● Contact info
● About infos
● Website Link
● Profile and cover images
● At least 10 posts
5. Creating A Business Manager
● Go to https://business.facebook.com/
● Fill the short info needed, then create your BM account (make sure to use
emails and contacts that will always be accessible)

● Confirm your BM account by authenticating via the confirmation link sent to
your email
● Don’t worry if you don’t understand anything inside of your BM, we will set it
up together on the next session
